Buzzing is expected from new harpists. So if you are very new, don't feel bad about it. Learn from it, but don't beat yourself up about it! 💖
I tend to buzz when I play a string above a just-played string. MY TIP: wait until the last second to place/play and be confident. Tight string spacing + hesitation = buzzing.

Good tip! It's very important though to get rid of the buzzing asap. So don't beat yourself up about it, but fix it immediately. Patience, dedication and passion will bring you great results!

I’ve also learned that you need to do these exercises in all ranges of the harp. The position of the arm supporting the hand changes according to where we need to be on harp.

I have been trying your suggested exercises for my buzzing issue for the past few days. It has already made a substantial difference in the amount of buzzing and extraneous string noise. Thank you.

I learned an easy fix for annoying buzzing. I was going crazy with my my L & H Prelude 40 buzzing. It only occurred when I leaned the harp back toward me, though. So, after many months of frustration, I found the problem. It turns out that if one of the feet is loose, it will cause insane buzzing, but since you hear it through the soundboard, you don’t know from where it originates. Tighten the screw….problem solved. It was my harp tech who cued me into that…otherwise I would probably still be going around in circles…

Great story to remind all of us to tighten our screw...
I'm talking though about the buzz that YOU create when you play, not a problem of the harp☺

Thank you, Chiara, grazie mille! This is the issue I've been trying to resolve lately. I also found out, that when I play the left hand and it is moving upwards, the angle between my arm/ hand and the "wall" of harp strings is changing slightly, and when I try to keep the same angle, it doesn't buzz. I'll definitely try your boring exercise, to get rid of my bad angle habit.
