If that is the sound you like and want, why wouldn't you just buy the Zildjian Ks then? Don't wait for a company to try and copy that if you want that sound.

My first quality cymbal was a Meinl Meteor back in the 80s. You guys have improved so much and I haven’t tried a Meinl cymbal since my beloved Meteor. Very nice sounding cymbals coming out in 2025, congratulations!
even above these, highly recommend garstka's stacks, equilibrium china, and new signature ride, calvin rodgers' ride, all the extra dry and jazz cymbals, and the greb crasher hats - for every genre.
technically that kind of exists. if you look closely at the byzance dual series you will see they have similar hammering like the byzance extra thin and hammered and pure alloy extra hammered series.
Ugh my vintage sand hats got stolen.. got a pair of byzance dark hats to replace them. Wish I would have waited a bit to be able to try the new sand hats. Wouldn’t have found the dark hats if it didn’t go down the way it did, so I’m thankful for the outcome, no matter. Love the dark hats a lot, maybe just as much as the sand hats I had. No doubt all the new pieces you’re coming out with are absolute butter. Happy New Year Meinl! 2025 looks promising 😊
The thomas lang flexy ride has to be one the most versatile rides my ears have heard in a while. The bell is more effective than the serpent ride in my opinion.
Those extra hammered hi hats sound perfect! The flex ride sounds like it'd be killer for rock/metal too. Every time I hear an extra-hammered Byzance its just perfect to me, glad yall are expanding the line!
All of these seem like totally sensible and useful instruments, great work! Regardless of whether I'll end up buying any of them, I'm at least happy that they exist.

@aakkoin yea it just surprised me because Byzance is the highest grade line for Meinl and the Go To signature for every artist, even in this video Benny still have one for Byzance Ride. I guess he wanted to experiment a bit with the Pure Alloy hi hat. I wonder if the price is gonna be as expensive as Byzance, knowing that regular Pure Alloy is cheaper than Byzance
Looking at Benny's quick sand ride with the bite taken out of it, not I don't feel so bad about the used sweet thin crash I recently bought with a similar repair cut. She does still sound good, though 🥰

Shocked acoustic drums and cymbals are still a thing. Electronic gives you all the sounds and you can sample. Recording drums is a hassle and takes years to learn how to get the range of sounds/tones. Roland makes it easy. Audience doesn't like it though, so live will always be acoustic. Live drums have no to very little nuance due to overbleed. Audience never knows if cymbals are cracked or not. Drummers continue to be the most affected psycho-sexual style conscious consumers of any band. DW's success proves the point.

None of the rides sounded decent to my ears. Very silent tip sound for riding and weird wash overtones. Not good, sorry
