Great explaining on that knot. Think I've seen it b4 used on light tackle line. I'm gonna give it a try n see if it's smaller then the Alberto knot I use now. With most my rods having those micro guides is pretty hard getting a good knot to flow threw them!!! Thanks👍👍
Thats a handy looking knot but very complex. For 50 lb braid we use 80 lb fluorocarbon for amberjack. And fir lighter tackle we use an allbright knot. Far faster to tie. Yours looks stronger than the allbright knot, but the pr knot is a 100% knot, but difficult to tie. Thanks

Is this a different version of the original Dodd knot. Because the original does not have you wrapping the braid, on a looped braid tag. The braid wrap is the loop.
This is the original Dodd Knot as demonstrated by Mr Dodd himself. th-cam.com/video/uByQHnkHpPI/w-d-xo.html He starts wrapping from the far end as you would with an Albright Knot. In fact the difference between Dodd's knot and Albright's knot are not enough to claim a new knot. The only difference is starting with an overhand knot rather than simply doubling over the leader tag.
FG is easier and I've never I mean never been failed on the FG. Even when my buddies came undone due to user error because of the knots design, he was able to still land the fish
This looks all well and good when you are at home, but it looks way too complicated to tie out on the water with the wind howling in your face. A simple 6 turn surgeons knot has served me well and is super simple to tie no matter where you are

there are only one rule for me at baird-FC knot - after knot must be FC end with braid main line. thisi knot is not , so this knot is not friendly for your rods sic guides 6:25 I using double uni knot

that knot is a monster and complicated I think there may be better knots that are quicker. good video I like a uni to uni.
I uni knot everything to lure and for leaders never had a issue but still good video
A person would spend their entire trip tying one knot.

I tried to tie this knot while in my boat and got the line wrapped around my head,knocking my hat off, then I fell over board and drowned!😳

It goes through the guides just fine. No issues at all. I’ve been using it for years and never had the knot fail. To each his own. 👍

Seems just as hard to tie as the FG Knot. But sure is smaller than FG Knot
