- JAB5 is a four-channel audio amplifier board integrated with high-performance Bluetooth 5.0 (Supporting APT-X HD) and ADAU1701 DSP, which delivers 100W per channel into a 6Ohm load. With employed signal level sensor system and power management system, JAB5 features low power consumption and high efficiency, suitable for home audio, DIY audio, Bluetooth speakers and digital crossover applications.
JAB5 supports Bluetooth input, line input and I2S input. Signal would be mixed and delivered to speaker output.

where to get ICP5?
Is there a thermal pad, or TIM under that heatsink? I don't see any mention of it, and it's always something I take into account when planning a build.
jab 5 had some tim, I did exchanged it to artic silver.
Still have not seen the fan kick in tho
Is it possible to control the I2S output with the Dsp?
So for examaple using the Jab5 in the 2x200watt mode with a high Pass and a Subwoofer on a second amplifier with a low pass via the I2S output?
Yes, we cascade 2 JAB5, now it is by default firmware, we provide firmware for download.
Hi. I have JAB4 . downloaded software for it. Tried opening with Sigma Studio and make 4.0 crossover BUT crossover area is such a mess there! Could you make a video tutorial for it please?

Can be used with a (2 Ohm) 200rms 24v subwoofer. I saw the connection for the subwoofer and two speakers. The connection for the subwoofer would be the two positive together and the two negative together to get the 200w? I am very interested in this plate but I have my doubts. please can you answer me.

Can the I2S output of JAB5 be connected to your I2S to analog audio conversion board (CS4334)?
Yes, but we will suggest to use DAC without MCLK and maybe better performance, or maybe an ADAU1701 as DAC is a good idea too.
using jab5 in 2.1 system do i need 3 cables to connect each speaker? or is only the two speaker cables that come with the amplifier enough to assemble the 2.1 system?
2.1 uses both negative togeather and both positive togeather for the subwoofer and the jumper open. For the other two speakers each on one uses 1 positive and one negative with the jumper shorted.
I'd like to use this as a stereo subwoofer amp, but I see that in stereo (highpass filter) mode, bass output is cut off below 250hz, can I get output down as far as 30hz ?

I am currently trying to run a JAB5 via 7s3p Li-Ion Battery (24V nominal, 29.4V @100%) but after a couple of minutes the Standby-circuit seems to fail.
Thats now the second board with this failure so it seems to be a consistent problem.
The Amp is still muting when switching to Standby Mode, but the BT-Module and DSP stays active all the time and can NOT be switched off anymore.
Since the Battery has a 20A BMS and a 30A fuse and is also well under the 36V voltage rating of your device i have no clue what could cause this issue.
Please help me to find a proper solution for this issue as soon as possible.

I just bought this board. It appears that there is some idle hiss/noise from it, even if the DSP is muted. The noise appears to go away after a few seconds (amplifier turning off?) What's the best way to troubleshoot what stage this noise is coming from? Thanks!

Actually not, JAB5 series use TDA749x, so maximum supply voltage is 36V, so maximum output is about 150W per channel at 4 ohm.
Hello, I'm planning to use the JAB5 in my car. Is there an easy way to get it to go into standby with +12V, REM (ignition) and GND?
Hello. JAB5 is not designed for car audio applications. It requires a lot modifications if you want to use it for car audio. We will release audio amplifier for car audio in near feature. Please kindly stay tuned.

Would the JAB5 also work with 4ohm Speaker? In the datasheet it only lists 6ohm. How is the Powerrating at 4 or 8 Ohms?
Hello. JAB5 can work with 4Ohm speaker. With a 36V power supply, the output power is around 100W per channel into a 4Ohm load, and about 81W per channel into an 8Ohm load. Wish this could help you. Have a nice day~

Can two of these be used in a three way active speakers, one per box obviously?
We are releasing a product for 3 way crossover, and this one also fine for three way, configured as 1+1+PBTL, or use external digital amplifier to get better audio performance, plus 2xPBTL for woofer.

As a suggestion, I would like to see the following;
Input options of analogue, I2S, and SPDIF coax and Toslink
One input with four outputs, also providing for four way speakers (if this isn't already the case) with an extra (fifth) inverted signal only output for bridging for the bass
Two channels bridgeable for the woofer to compensate for baffle diffraction loss, that is, one output to be selectable for normal or inverted signal
For a three way, two of the four outputs could be used to drive woofers in parallel to compensate for baffle diffraction loss, or two woofers in unison to halve the size of the bass enclosure
I think I covered my wish list and I think it also enhances the potential sales since it covers so many options DIYers would like to use.

Well, other than a very minor reduction on battery consumption, 5.1 doesn't bring any significant improvement in terms of performance (it does for convenience maybe, but for this application, you won't get better audio quality, range or anything like that).

Yes you would but you would still need a charging board and something to tell you when you've reached minimum safe battery voltage. I'm surprised they hadn't replied to you by now.
