In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Silent. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. I have god-knows-how-many hours into this game and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a build like this. Loved the troll at 103:20. Good show.

I personally got a 10 turn perfect as silent because I couldn't cast my grand finale consistantly enough and applying vulnerable helped a lot. The power of apparitions, wraith form and tough bandages.

Finisher would have been crazy with this deck.
For a double doppelgänger deck to work you would need to use a adrenaline after the first doppelgänger to get some use out of the second one if you get both at the same time
Or just have 1 upgraded. Much more reliable and efficient than hoping you draw a third card along with an unlucky double doppelgänger draw

Wow 5000 hours? I thought I was beasting with 1000 hours haha. I've beaten A20 on Ironclad and silent but still banging my head against the wall with A19 on both defect and wraith

Someone needs to explain his love of card generating effects to me, like EG Hello World that he mentions here as an auto grab power. I don't get it. They've never caused anything but trouble for me, but I'm not making any claims.
You can think of it like drawing an extra card a turn, usually very helpful too as Defect commons are pretty good in general.
It often let's you play a better card than the strike/defend you have in the rest of your draw.
Also good for status' from sentry's/slime boss etc. As the card gets put straight into your hand.
@@jakobtheyak Yeah I've seen how it _can_ work. It just hasn't for me, but my experience with it is very limited. Probably a mix of bad RNG, wrong decks and/or relics for it. I will for sure try again now that I know more what parameters to look for.

Why is EVERY video of this game like 2-3 hours long!?
People tend to post winning (including act 4) runs of Spire, which takes between 1 and 2 hours for most players. Lifecoach, an excellent Ironclad player, takes much longer! The game lets you think as much as you want.
