I am super happy to see this series already becoming a thing!!! I started watching with your very first playlist of 1.0, went back to Alpha21 and so on, and oh my god, I absolutely adore your content. Your accent is a joy to listen to, with what I consider to be fun and exciting gameplay. And hell, I even learned some things from your previous playthroughs like being able to wrench lamp posts for early steel, how trader progression actually works, the fact that skill points can manipulate your entire book drop loot table... All brilliant information that I forgot/didn't know about! Keep it up :D
this is just anectodal but I have a very hard time getting forged ahead books from the trader workstations unless I put a point in either engineering or lock picking. So now I usually wait until I put a point in those skills before looting the trader, and 90% of the time get a couple of books in them.
Great tip. I came to this realization myself the other day. I used to just loot everything from the Trader right off the bat, but it makes much more sense to hold off until you can influence the loot with Lockpicking (or Advanced Engineering, although I think that one increase the chance for a few other books to drop, and not just Forge Ahead).
Welcome back to 7D2D! Try console command XUI reload to get rid of the glitch in the corner. Saw that on a Guns, Nerds, & Steel stream. That glitch should have been fixed long ago!
@King-O-Hell hopefully. 8 honestly haven't had a lot of time to play V1due to real life. And most of the time I have played has been spent beta testing the Wild West mod.
I just started playing 7DTD on the Xbox Series X but I been watching your videos for God knows how long. Now I can follow a series at the same time as I play and can pick up tips from you here and there. Great videos awesome work. Lets keep um coming.
Have you ever considered using red tea? the plants are all over the place and the red tea gives you two nice buffs one where you gain more stam and another where you use up less food/water when regaining stam.
That bridge right outside Rekts make a really good base for early game play and hordes, don't look at it like a bridge image what you can build on top of the bridge and use it to your advantage. I done it in my very 1st game in the 1.0 version. I ended up using that bridge base for around 7 or 8 horde night's but I don't think it would of held up for the later hordes as I really struggled during the 8th horde and only managed to make it through the night before my base half collapsed on that horde night
I Know you know to use (Hatch's)- for buildings and (wooden spikes)- for out in the open and everywhere else. Please use them a lot in the early game. Keep it up.
I really hate the way they do difficulty settings in this game. Turning the zombies into bullet sponges does not make the game more fun. I feel like the difficulty settings should increase the number of zombies and increase your chance to get infected whenever they hit you. I strongly feel like any game that has zombies should have those zombies die to a single headshot. That’s zombies 101.
You can adjust other settings as well, the number of zombies, feral sense, and their movement speed. Changing the daytime movement speed alone drastically changes the difficulty level.
Honestly primitive armor is way too good imo and it'd be worth it with even half of it's values, finally someone else who understands how much of a difference it makes on insane nightmare
On the plus side, loot abundance doesn't actually affect certain loot containers (specifically, book piles and certain shelves). I did a challenge at 25% loot abundance and books weren't THAT bad to come by.
If you put loot at 200% it definitely gives you more books. You mean specifically the stacks of books, not shelves or the cluster of books laying on the ground but not stacked? Which shelves specifically?
@@knurlgnar24 It's a bit easy to test: set loot at 200%, go to a Crack-a-Book and Wright's mansion; then set it to 25% and revisit the same locations. You'll see that some elements (Ex: the standard bookstore shelves) are clearly affected, while others (the Book crates, Wright Mansion shelves, piles of books) yield similar counts. I found I was only a week behind (Week 3 instead of Week 2) for many major crafting milestones (late-stage weapons, motorcycle) when running at 25% loot.
@@knurlgnar24 it affects stack count not the chances for a certain book. with the changes to workstations having two versions of the loot bundles with and without the forge books, those are the only things that affects book chances
Me and my friends regularly play on 50% loot and im pretty sure theres a chance to roll 0 books instead of 1-2, havent played in a while so im probably wrong
You have a history of crushing this kinds of challenges. Perhaps you could take a look at the Afterlife mod? That thing is 10x harder than vanilla. Depending on the class, you star without map, watch or compass. It's very tough. Your territory.
Oof, nightmare run speeds. Unless you can lose them on obstacles running away isn't much of an option. Love to watch a master of the game at work. Why do you not like to use wood spikes early game? The damage isn't scaled to the difficulty and one spike trap can kill a regular zed. Ferals avoid them of course. :)
I kinda find the nights to be easier than the days much of the time. Aside from the increased risk of ferals and such, actually moving around and looting seems much easier. Stealth works super well at night even without points, and throwing rocks moves zombies out of the way. Aside from the higher hp zombies, I find I can deal with ferals 1v1 fairly easily too by doing the nerdpole and upgrading/repairing the block under me.
i play on regular insane difficulty wit regular speeds and a rushing feral biker is already a nightmare. But here u are living in my nightmare and dwelling in it
Knife has knockdown for a couple alphas now and are just better than clubs for stamina. And I would even argue that spears are now better than clubs too. But agility so good.
You get the symbol for maximum number of jobs reached when you complete the 4th job. you can still hand it in and get the reward. If you look at 21:41 of your video the job count is 3 handed in one completed not handed it.
So loot abundance actually does not affect books, there is some I watch that did a 0% loot abundance run and it doesn’t affect books, the main loot for poi’s, sealed containers or loot bags
300% block dmg should just be standard. Blood moons are fine. Ezpz as always. And during the day if you hear knocking its an actual threat as supposed to an annoyance. Lower loot is so good I wish 75% should be normal. Either way if your using the trader its basically cheat mode. Either way nightmare runners is tough
Episode 2: th-cam.com/video/Lnbw4wi5TAs/w-d-xo.html
The title had my attention, the settings have my concern. Godspeed, virtual human.

That's a useful fix
I wonder if version 1.1 fixes this 🤔

the quest tier max icon appears even if you don't hand in your quest. if you went to the trader you would have gotten your 4th quest point

Welcome back! Crawlers have way more hit points than they need imo.
Use wooden spikes as a weapon.
Primitive armor is pretty awesome. With some armor plate mods, blue primitive gets close to 50% absorb I think.

I actually have developed a fondness for building a base and horde base on those bridges.
You missed the ammo pile on the red barrel in the garage.
*me casually rolly polling back in after several weeks to finally get started on my backlog of series to watch*😂🎉
At 0:56, the memories of the EARLY versions of 7 Days to Die. Who needs a demolisher if you had that type of zombies back then?

When i play this game i set blood moon to every night but set day time to 5 hours
Those settings are madness.
oh i am soo lovin this already
Hardcore is nice… but I’d love to see you get through some of the harder mods that are available, or just modded content in general.

Good luck.
7:08 and i thought he is IzPrebuild....
“Slap some jelly on it” 😂😂😂

Great video!!
Version 1.1 is supposed to buff stealth so it might be a good idea to give it a try...
What are your thoughts on going ahead and doing the homesteading challenges straight away? It's easy, cheap and gives you books at the trader.
@@maxzweistein8951 That's fair and it could be done whenever. Finishing the challenge takes 60 seconds so I just do it really quick.
Currently playing a private server on insane in 1.0 with friends…. Welcome to hell brother! ❤🎉
I've been following and doing the same. I'm not as good. I adhd around the city and get distracted and chased a lot. Die here and there.
Finally Ur back!

you can search the shelf behind Rekt, tho it usually has garbage loot. also, did you check the ammo pile on the barrel in the crawler shed?

The newest patch out today seems to have changed stealth. Probably not as op now
Nice. How to beat the game? Or is it just survival till you die?
This will be fun
Been playing the Afterlife mod... This seems like a much easier pace.
Izy, just so you know Permadeath is just so...... so last year.
Oh sorry I'll kill myself then.
@@IzPrebuilt NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! don't do that, unless there is no other way to avoid being eaten alive by zombies.😁😁😁

Hopefully this doesnt end like my permadeath run did, stuck in a bathroom with a cop and a tourist, and only one toilet...
Which map was this done on? Map size??
7:08 - Hi Rusty, I'm Dad.
Whats with the pop in at the traders/everywhere?
yikes, u got this xD
How does he take all items from crates without clicking top right ? is there a key i'm missing ?
Yes. It's E or R idk, it's been a while since I played computer. There is a take all key, of that I am sure
I made a Legendary set Primitive Armor just to do it lol.
Hey, the playlist for this series is out of order.
Feral Sense off….?? Literally that’s where the challenge comes from man. Zombies are stupid without it
Aw shucks guess you'll have to go watch something or someone else 🤷♂️
❤❤❤
I learned to play like a rat from watching Mr. Iz.

When browsing quests you can just “Decline” to move back one screen instead of totally closing his interface.
Then he talks more
Pfff.. Not even with the headshot only mod? What is this 7dtd for babies? /s
feralsanse just not makesanse
No reason to hide at night. Day and night are the same now, except that you are less detectable in the dark!
Ferals Spawn At Night And Would Kill Him
Absolutely untrue. Ferals spawn at night and will kill me in 2 hits
I love your Content, greetings from Germany.
1.0 is still a buggy mess. I've grabbed maybe 20 honey from stumps and don't think I have the challenge to get 5.
