I just read up on Scarcella. Apparently, there were AT LEAST 20 convictions that he investigated that were overturned due to his improper conduct. He was actually allowed to retire and now probably lives quite nicely on his undeserved pension. Piece of sh*t!

As of September 2022, at least 20 people had their convictions vacated in Scarcella's homicide cases, after more than 400 combined years of imprisonment, as the Kings County District Attorney's Office (Brooklyn DA) continued to review many of the detective's estimated 200 homicide investigations. Prosecutors and judges have explicitly cited evidence of his improper conduct, in criminal cases involving at least 12 convicted defendants, and legal settlements have surpassed $100 million. Nevertheless, Scarcella has consistently denied wrongdoing, and the statute of limitations has protected him from possible legal consequences.

I just can't help but think about the fact that the man's already in prison. The circumstances make it highly unlikely that the threats would or even could be acted upon. He was clearly agitated and upset and said some crazy shit. He got 20 more yrs of his life taken away for saying something while mad. It just blows my mind, I guess. Same in my country. I know a man who raped and killed a 16yo girl and he was out in 6. It is called the criminal justice system for a reason. It is also not our system. The flag in every court room is not the official flag of the country. We even had a judge who kept helping a known paedophile and got caught being a paedo himself. Don't forget about epstein, people. We are ruled by sick people who want to see the world burn.

The last person only served 16 years for murdering his ex-girlfriend??? He's free and then takes four more women's lives before he finally receives the death penalty. Judges and prosecutors that seek and grant these absurdly light sentences need to be held accountable by losing their bar license. At the very least! This is horrific.

you are not asking the real question: what did the women do, because obviously they had it coming. No woman is innocent. They use and exploit men through their sex ressource. No woman deserves mercy.

Yes! And those are only 2 that you know off, back in the day ALL COPS used to arrest and falsely accuse people of things cos there was no cameras, no cell phones, and people were a lot dumber and easily believed ALL COPS were “good guys.”
NYC, BOSTON in the 70s 80s and 90s? Forget about it, all of the cops were on the take.

More than that. It was something to the tune of 20 people over the span of two decades were wrongfully imprisoned by his janky investigation tactics. I think the total settlements are in the 400+ million range.

That poor boy! Not only does he now have to live without his mother, sister and father. He has to live with knowing that his father took them away from him which is hard enough, without knowing that he also wanted him dead also and said he wasn’t sorry for his actions! And then ontop of all that trauma he made him go through the trail where he pretty much laughed in his face and made a spectacle of destroying his life! I hope that that amazing officer gives that poor boy the support and medical help because he truly is going to need it! 😞

I have been living in Waukesha for almost 6 years now and I was in the crowd when he drove through the crowd, and I almost got hit myself. The amount of lives that were affected around me was devastating, I personally knew Tamara because she was a friend of my mom, such a sweet woman who loved helping kids to learn and loved her work no matter what she did. To this day I still hurt over those poor babies and friends that were injured and killed man, and I know 3 other people that went to therapy (including myself) because of what they witnessed. This is is a sad reality that you don't think something like this can happen, but it might.
