Good vid! LOVE my CX/PX4 combo!!! This is a most excellent home defense combination--my wife can handle the P and I'll grab the C and we are good to go. One thing you might want to consider is to get the 20rd mags OR get the extended mag/follower kit to make a 20rd out of your stock 17rd mags. It fits better that way into the mag well for the CX4. There is NOTHING I dislike about this combination!!!

I see on the Beretta website that there is an adapter which will allow the CX4 to convert from 92F and PX4 which is a real winner for me as I have both pistols and the carbine
I have pretty much the same set up except I have 3 CX4's 9mm. These carbines can be easily deployed and passed out to novice shooters in the event of a situation. I can carry 40 mags on my vest and easily alternate between the CX4 and the PX4. This carbine is accurate out to 100 yards and does well providing suppressive fire beyond that.
Like Alex Young, I also am interested in finding a top quality chest rig that will accommodate PX4 mags. If anyone has found one, would appreciate hearing. 40 mags mentioned in the opening comment seems like a pretty high count to me. I'd be happy with 1/4 of that total.

I've got a PX/CX combo in 9mm. I think i have about 20 mags that i've picked up a various gun shows. them sharing magazine design is the best part. Unfortunately, mine is in the PX format, and not the 92 so there are no 30 rounds available. Your vid is spot on in the capabilities of the gun, and its application.
Thank you for watching. TH-cam is a great way to visually see a weapon you might want to purchase. However, I recommend you go to the range and shoot any gun before you buy it. Most ranges have a wide variety of them you can rent for an hour or so to try them out. Take care.
If I owned beretta this would be a perfect storm! Very nice combination I follow the same system but use glocks. G26,G19, and TNW ASP. I wish glock would make a matching PCC like beretta did, until then there are many many options to get a PCC that takes glock magazines, the Keltec sub2k is a very popular one I sold mine and went with the TNW ASP.
Great combo. I've considered the Beretta CX4. Currently ,I have a Ruger PC4& Ruger P944. They share a dozen magazines between them for SHTF. I also have a Marlin Camp9 Carbine with the 20 round stick mags. for my wife to use. I like the Beretta 92 , so a CX4 may be in my future?
Cx4 is an amazing carbine to shoot it shoots EVERYTHING the dirtiest wolf ammo without stoppages nothing jams it & its very well balanced if I had to shoot at an attacker 1 handed out a moving car while driving, I would pick my Cx4 Storm. That said, it IS a Beretta made in Italy, parts availability can be thin, there is exactly ONE aftermarket firm for Cx4 its Sierra Papa. I have the Cx4 in 45 ACP which Beretta just makes 8 round clips you can buy aftermarket up to 14 or 15 round very expensive!! That said, Cx4 Storm is much cheaper than its competition Swiss B&T & Heckler Kock MP5 For accuracy, reliability & parts availability I would get an AR9 variant, but for size for a car gun, nothing beats a clip in the grip & Cx4 Storm is balanced in hand very nicely & the stock feels so good to your cheek I love carrying it around.

I don't have the model number cuz it's been so long though since I bought it however I did search the Beretta Opticsplanet, and Midway websites and they are all out of stock on them. Love your channel and as far as Beretta goes they can't be beat. Shoot flat as a board and reliability is awesome. I'm looking to purchase this combo now but am stuck on deciding the caliber. My main concern is availability. When things get tough, which caliber will be the most likely to be found?
I would have to say 9mm but that is a personal opinion. It is one of the reasons I bought that caliber. As an FYI, I came across some information that the FBI is changing back to 9mm from 40 caliber. Multi-shot placement being the main reason and effectiveness being about equal. Check it out by googling the article. Thank you for watching.
+Bill Penning 9mm, no doubt. It is widely available, you can pack a 1000 rounds without having to worry to much about weight, and like I said, available everywhere.
I'd love to get a CX4 Storm in .40S&W to complete the pair. If I could find one. Beretta has stopped making them in that caliber and you can't even find these on gunbroker. Even if you do expect to pay over $1K for it.
I own 3 CX4 9mm and the 9mm PX4 and many mags. Had the exact barrel shroud came loose during shooting and literally shot it off. Launched about 15 yards down range. I recommend losing this as it's just cosmetic and will come loose.

Respectful question from a PX4 owner: Why buy a CX4 for $800, when you could buy a decent quality mil-spec AR-15 with a more powerful caliber round for around $500? I love how the CX4 looks, and if money were no object, I’d own an AR and a CX4. Is it just the minimalist thing? Shares magazines with the PX4?
Good evening those are very good questions. I actually do own an AR as well. I had already owned the PX4 so I decided to buy the CX4 because they share magazines. I believe the combination was a good camp defense combination. However please know that I am just an average person and I am not a military tactician. Quite honestly it's just a really fun pistol caliber carbine to shoot.
I have both and would agree the AR-15 would be better if you only had one rifle for everything. As a reloader it is cheaper to reload .40S&W or 9mm. The lifespan of pistol brass is vastly increased and requires less powder and case preparation to reload. Another thing to consider is the AR is way louder compared to a pistol cartridge especially in a confined space for hearing loss. As for the size a fully collapsed AR is still longer by about an inch. I find the CX4 to be the ideal size for a ranch rifle when walking or riding on a quad and doesn't look as threatening to others. That brings me to capacity the AR wins hands down although the CX4 can accept extended magazines as well. The biggest factor is availability of parts which again the AR is cheaper and easier to find. Although I really like the CX4 I would still choose the AR for anything serious but for range time and general use the CX4 every time. The CX4 just fits in this weird category that it's not great at everything but it is good enough for everything.

The CX4 storm 90 law enforcement series takes the 92 Magazines just picked one up $632.00 grabagun .My opinion The PX4 Has nothing to do with this Rifle other than same manufacturer supose you can get a mag sleeve for it to shoot px4 mags but oof what a dog . My perfect Storm is (This Carbine and a PPQM2 .)

It is my understanding that you have to make sure that the Cx4 Storm you buy matches the model the pistol that you have. Some match the 92fs and some the PX4

I have an MP5 chest rig that seems to work pretty well. MP5 mags and CX4,PX4 mags are very similar in shape and size.

I have a 92fs and an APX A1. Unrelated to carbine options, now that I'm seeing the px4, I wish I got that over the APX A1. APX is still great though.
