Then you have NRS Bi Han who gets washed by Sonya, Scorpion (one on one), Knightwolf (who's suppose to be a just tour guide in MK11), Kabal (who JUST got his powers), Cyborg Subzero, Scorpion/Subzero while in his prime, younger Jax (who wasn't use to fighting Outworlders like that), and Jacqui (who got washed by Kuei Liang when he toyed around with them). Mind you in NRS, he has [literal] Shadow Clones and better use if his dark powers and MKMSZ is considered canon in both MK9 and MK11.

ThatOneGuy 123 Kotal was so Fire in the comics. But once he lost to Jin, they screwed him up. But he did become one of my favorite characters because he was a lot of fun to play as and I loved his lore. Now they made him a whole lot worse. The only really good thing about him is his new design and how he plays. But him in story mode is just trash. Makes me sad 😞 why couldn’t they have just settled on the whole Outworld vs Earthrealm war? They really could have expanded on Kotal as a character and really redeem him. But instead we get this trash.
Fujin got done the dirtiest in MK. Hasn’t been playable since Armageddon and was killed off screen by Cetrion, but for the characters on the list so I’ll go with Shao Khan. The man was infused with the power of The Dragon King Onaga and was killed by the same Kitana that was about to get washed by Sindel infused with Shang Tsung.
I feel like they should have given us chapters where we played as the villains so some didn't feel as usely and Noob should've been the one to kill Hanzo.

Shao kahn was created in mk2 for reason to be stronger than Shang tsung and shinnok was created solely to be stronger than shao kahn and while shinnok IS more powerful than shao kahn and would shit on shao kahn with mid difficulty,he still has had a terrible portrayal. I think his first game in mythologies was his best because like shao kahn having armor in mk3,shinnok was literally invincible and invulnerable. If you’re lucky you might be able to freeze him and that’s it. Character that got buried: Kotal Khan. Kotal Khan is a beast in the comics but suffered by poor writing and poor execution in the game. Noob Saibot got done dirty in MK11. I gotta give it to Shao Kahn. The dude didn't need to use physical contact to win. He knocked out Sonya and Johnny with the force in MK9 and an Elder God assisted Raiden was needed to take him out. I think the problem with recent entries is the rise of Cassie Cage. She's beating up Kings and Gods. From what I've gathered it seems like they thought her rep from the comic would carry over but it still just seems implausible to me that she's THAT proficient in Kombat. I'm glad they handed Lui Kang the crown in 11.
I think a few nominees deserve to be on this list. Characters like Goro (who has been getting shit on for a while now), Reptile, Kenshi, maybe Melina, and definitely Motaro. Motaro hasn't been a threat since his introduction in MK 3, and has essentially been forgotten.
the only character that was done right in MK11 imho was Lu kang and then to an extent Raiden as a lu kang number one fan since mk1 day one this is even better than being the new raiden BUT the one destroyed the most obviously imho Shao Khan
Shao Khan didn't get his power up from the soulnado in earth as he did in the mk trilogy timeline And MK9 timeline THATS why Kitana was able to defeat him. At the end of Armageddon Kronika knew in order to have shao khan obedient he had to be at a weakened state. She learned from Onaga's mistake.

Netherrealm ever since using DC writer talent who don't respect the lore has done mostly all their characters dirty with terrible retcons. Kotal, Kabal, Sindel, Noob, Shinnok the list goes on.
Kotal khan easily. Man was supposed to be the leader of outworld and just got fucking washed. Noob was bi han and that is somewhat credible. Reptile was done dirty. He was treated like a training dummy to the Teen Titans, that only made him look like more of a fool. The worst part is that the character has been Essentially erased from the timeline and was replaced by Kollector.

I can’t take Kotal serious. I read the comics after I played MKX. I had half respect for him, but MK11 just took the half respect I had.

I gotta give it to Shao Kahn. The dude didn't need to use physical contact to win. He knocked out Sonya and Johnny with the force in MK9 and an Elder God assisted Raiden was needed to take him out. Kitana has a decent resume, but only a sob story to piggy back a victory on, NOT the kind that would explain her being able to defeat Shao Kahn 1 on 1. At least Cassie had some bullshit plot armor to explain the poorly written victory because without it, Shinnok would've killed her.

I think the problem with recent entries is the rise of Cassie Cage. She's beating up Kings and Gods. From what I've gathered it seems like they thought her rep from the comic would carry over but it still just seems implausible to me that she's THAT proficient in Kombat. I'm glad they handed Lui Kang the crown in 11.

I think a few nominees deserve to be on this list. Characters like Goro (who has been getting shit on for a while now), Reptile, Kenshi, maybe Melina, and definitely Motaro. Motaro hasn't been a threat since his introduction in MK 3, and has essentially been forgotten.

Shinnok was beating anyone's ass if they weren't lui kang or had green energy. Yes the whole cassie thing was stupid but there's at least a lore reason why he lost. Shinnok one shotted a bunch of people. Corrupted was the only time he really got washed. Shao khan got done dirty in mk 11 but at least he went out breaking someone's back. He was still considered a threat.

Reptile was done dirty. He was treated like a training dummy to the Teen Titans, that only made him look like more of a fool. The worst part is that the character has been Essentially erased from the timeline and was replaced by Kollector.
