I was moved 2 sing build me a cabin by Hank Williams 2 weeks ago. Now my pastor's wantin me 2 start some of the services off.....shew haha. I think I found my song. Thank you brother
Bless you Brother I've always loved this song and even though I fell the Lord every day He's never failed me I think it's in Timothy where JESUS said he we loose faith He's faithful and cannot deny himself!!!
I can’t read tabs or sheet music, I play the guitar but most of the stuff I play is heavy rock that’s what I always played but the lord saved me and I’m wanting to start playing gospel music for my kids. I’d really like to learn how to play this song I tried just watching and playing it but don’t sound the same or not right for me for some reason
Awesome, Chris! The chords are pretty simple, and I sing it in the key of A-flat (capo 1 using G as the main chord shape/key reference). From there, including G, the chords are (in no particular order) C and D. I play the C different than the standard, "cowboy," C, though. It's called a Cadd9. I just call it "Cheater C" lol. If you observe the video carefully, you should see the way I play some of the chords. I try to vary them up so they don't always sound the same. This keeps the song interesting. I've got all kinds of videos here on my channel about rhythm as well. That may be where you're finding trouble following along. My favorite rhythm video I have is this one, which talks about tightening up your strumming: th-cam.com/video/snmi-l8Xeyg/w-d-xo.html It's one of my most popular videos, with over 80,000 views!
Subbed you while back. God bless, and God does save old sinners. Amen....! We play and sing also but have not downloaded anything yet%. Next on out agenda. Keep up the good work.
That's another great song! Your vocals a amazing. I love how you always throw in those little vocal runs throughout the versus; it makes all your songs hauntingly beautiful
The logo on the head stock is not familiar to me care to tell who makes your guitar it is very loud and great tone. I am glad God saves old sinners also, because about everyone I know today is old ,. LOL
Ken Roberts It's a Breedlove Revival DR-Deluxe. The sound is so amazing because of the Red (Adirondack) Spruce top, forward-shifted x-bracing, and East Indian Rosewood back & sides. These specs were very common during the well-known "pre-war" guitars, most famously made by C.F. Martin & Co. This is called a "Revival" because Breedlove attempted to replicate the specs of these guitars. The DR stands for Dreadnaught body style and Rosewood back and sides. The Deluxe simply means it has the L.R. Baggs pickup system installed. All the bells & whistles, in other words. For more info, I created a vid of the guitar and go into detail about it here: th-cam.com/video/PGjLl2rVmzY/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps, and thanks for asking!
Wonderful sir! Great voice and a great song, I'm not even a Christian and I can't get through this song without crying either buddy, so I feel ya 😜 👍👍🙏
