I love my 13 Pro Max! I was on a 4 hour flight recently and my battery was at 100%. I watched 2 movies on my iPhone and when I landed my battery was at 81%. I kinda miss the 13 Pro but it feels tiny to me now when I hold it.
You’ve hit the nail on the head, Canoopsy. What you’ve said completely echos what I’ve experienced, too. After the Pixel 6 and S22, the consistency was the reason why I personally came back to the 13 Pro! Let me clarify. Android wasn’t ever the issue for me, I often switch between the two operating systems and have no problems using either.
Is the iPhone 13 Pro battery life consistently good every single day? Samsung phones for some reason their battery life is always up and down almost every single day and very inconsistent which is annoying 😡 I'm considering buying an iPhone now.
@@venator7889 For my usage, the battery life is consistently good. That's very subjective and dependent on how you use the phone, but for the most part, it's awesome.

I have it for 3 months now, i was an android fan boy. If you like super duper good battery endurance then go for it. I've had my android at my workplace which has weak signal strength and caused battery drain. With 13 pro max it handled it like a champ, with moderate to heavy use (after 3 rounds of moba game after work) I still got 40%+ at 11pm. Mind blown
Just got my iPhone 13 pro max about 3 weeks ago and I love it. I love that you don’t need to charge it everything. I went a whole day without charging it and still haven’t charged it none today and my battery is on 32%. And keep in mind the last time I charged it I didn’t even charge it all the way to 100%
Nice summary! I've had the same phone for about the same amount of time now, and I can easily say it's the best phone I've ever had, even taking the fact that it's just the newest into account. It just feels like there's so much headroom, and you're never really pushing it in an way way. I end most days with like 60-70% battery remaining - the only time I've super pushed it was on a trip to San Francisco in which it was a full day of hundreds of photos, streaming podcasts, music, and TH-cam the entire time, all with navigation running at the same time. Even then I got back to the hotel with like 15% and still had enough left to watch an hour or so of Netflix. Low power mode and external batteries were both things I used multiple times per week on my previous iPhone 11. I haven't needed either a single time since getting this phone. I agree on the telephoto. I'd prefer if they'd stuck with a ~50mm equivalent - It's a more useful focal length for me. This ~75mm does really well in good light, but... I wish the software wouldn't switch to the main sensor and crop it quite so aggressively. I've done some comparisons with Halide, forcing the use of the actual 75mm sensor in lower light (rather than cropped main sensor) and while there's some visible noise, the photos still look dramatically better. That aside, I use output from the phone fairly regularly inter-mixed in my pro work, generally when I don't have the right focal length lens on my a7iii (I only have primes). Aside from the filename, you could never tell.
I have had a 13 Pro Max since April. Loving the battery life and I like to use wallet cases/flip folio style for the iphones. If iPhones go port less, i hope they make flip folio cases that you don’t have to always remove to wirelessly charge the device
Love my 13 pro, Apple needs to be working overtime to get me to upgrade it in less than 3 years. These camera’s are 🔥 especially the natural bokeh on the wide lens 👌

I have a Silver 13 Pro and can confirm with Canoopsy that the stainless steel ridges are as good as brand new after months of use. Apple must have applied some kind of coating this time round. Love it!
bought my 13 pro max about a year ago, upgraded from an 8. let me tell you i have not been let down with the battery once, all day battery if not 2 day if you really stretch it. the cameras make you want to go take pictures of landscapes and nature it is amazing. 100%

I wish i hadn't cheaped out and opted for this phone instead of my Pixel 6 Pro. I'd been wanting to switch to Pixel for about a year up until then and i was really stoked when the Pixel 6 lineup got released. After having to go through the hassle of importing it from Germany for obvious reasons my experience was pretty good! I liked it, but i did miss a few features that simply made life easier (quick airpods pairing, airdrop etc.) and then i started looking around for a watch. that's when i realized how much i missed the Apple ecosystem. The Galaxy Watch 4 was pretty much the best there was for me, but it was miles behind the Apple Watches. so to conclude, the Apple ecosystem is expensive to get out of, because you'll be coming back to Apple anyway. their products are just so, soo good.
I have the silver pro max. I have had a lot of phones in my day, mainly I phones, this one is the greatest one ever! I bought it when it first came out, and my battery health is still at 💯
I really love my pro max as well, my only issue is 4k60p with Dolby vision enabled.. there are major compression artifacts when panning the camera - especially in bright conditions. Only seems to happen in this mode. I also agree with you on the telephoto camera - it annoys me when it uses the main camera instead of the dedicated telephoto lens (we paid for). I hope they can correct both of these issues in a software update soon. Otherwise, best phone I’ve ever used hands-down.
Earlier i use to be all for small phones and was about to get 13 mini until my dad gave me his 12 pro max ( coming from 12 pro ) Believe me it is sooo fun to use from everything to instagram to youtube all is soo much fun and now 12 pro max feels kinda small to me lol
Battery 🔋 life has definitely improved. It’ll go from 5AM to Midnight no problem. Tips: keep your brightness low and screen off when only listening to stuff like Spotify. App that seem to ignore the iPhone sleep feature: Instagram, Amazon, most social media apps, safari, if you’re reading something (articles) and of course video and photos etc. This can affect your battery life a bit. Other than that. It’s your right hand, your go to. (Drake reference)

It’s crazy how no one is mentioning that the 13 Pro max is the successor to the 11 pro max. That was the first battery packed phone that was competing with great batteries of the android kings.
This phone still holding up great. I’ve gone maybe a whole day or over and still have enough battery usage. Definitely worth it for camera quality and perfect size for my big hands.

Apple’s software works wonders with its hardware. Battery life, display, performance, cameras. It’s honestly the phone that has it all and it executed perfectly. USB-C and maybe a 1440P display would be better, but we’ll see this year. Hope y’all have a great day!
OK. So soon as I heard the release I wanted it. 1st off, coming from an XS Max it's a worthy upgrade all the way around. But 13 is my favorite number so i had to. Bur even as we're in 14 days, I prefer my 13 Pro Max in the sane silver. 1Tb unlocked
I love this iPhone, I got sierra blue in October, when they released that green I loved that colour. I think Apple are amazing at choosing colours. I think I am going to keep this iPhone until the rumoured one with hole punches in 2024 (I think).
120Hz display …The battery life is good not in spite of it, but because of it. The adaptive refresh rate scales down to 10Hz when appropriate. This is lower than the constant 60Hz on the non-pro models. For this same reason the 13pro has a better battery life than the 13 despite having a smaller battery.
I mostly agree. However, I find the camera processing to be abysmal a lot of the time. Mainly heavy handed noise reduction (which can't be undone with ProRaw like the sharpening can.) To workaround this I use the Lightroom app with the HDR capture function, but you can't really do this with higher motion subjects. All in all a good phone but I hope Apple tones down the processing in the next iteration.
Used the 13 pro for 5 months now, but gonna switch to the 13 pro max to see if i like it before I upgrade to the 14 pro/pro max. I have sierra now and will do silver and then purple on the 14 prp

13 pro max is so so much better than the iphone 12 that i used to have. the 12 had bad battery and it gets hot for no good reason. the 13 pro max performs like a champ since day 1. Totally worth the premium paid. I will only go for the pro model going forward.
I have a 12 Pro Max and I’m ready to go back to something smaller. I want the 13 mini but think the regular Pro is a good in between. I will wait til the 14 is announced. If the 14 is not exciting I’ll get a 13 Pro to save some coins

4 or 5 reboots/freezes in 6 months? My old Note 20 Ultra 5G has never ever restarted on its own. It has maybe stuttered a little bit 3 or 4 times in 2 and a half years and only while gaming.
Thinking about switching from an android to the 13 pro max once the price drops a smidge after the new phones are released. I've seen a 13 pro max in action and its buttery smooth looking and seems very easy to navigate. I also love the big screen. I'm somewhat familiar with apple products so I am very excited to go for it when I get the money saved up.
I find myself doubting to choose the 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max. Currently, I have a S10 Lite, which is a 6.7" phone and 186 grams (6.5 oz). I went to an Apple store to compare both iPhones with my S10 Lite, but I didn't got the confidence to make any decision. Here are my doubts: 13 Pro: - It's shorther and a bit narrower compared to my S10 Lite, and I don't know if I will get used to the smaller screen - the lower battery life compared to the Pro Max, although both of them are superb, for 100$ more the Pro Max has even better battery life and a bigger screen For the 13 Pro Max: - it's as tall as my S10 lite, but It's w i d e r. The Pro Max is around 0.04 inches wider than my S10 lite, without a case. So a Pro max with a case will be a bit wider. - The overall handling of the phone. Since it's such a bulky but mighty device, I don't know whether my hands get used to and will feel comfortable after a few weeks of use. And how about putting it away in a pocket or something? Also, I consider myself having medium sized hands, I say that because size of hands matters with such huge phones from what I've heard. These are my only concerns which prevent me from making a choice. My preference goes to a bigger screen with more battery lige ofcourse, but is that at the expense of overall handling and compactness? I would love to hear your thoughts on this! :)
iPhone 13 Pro Max owner here - the size and weight is definitely something to used to. My previous phone was the Galaxy S20 and that was certainly lighter and easier to hold with one hand as it's smaller. I splurged for the Pro Max because the price difference between that and the regular Pro isn't as high as I had thought. Battery life is the biggest consideration factor for me and when looking at countless battery tests it's always the 13 Pro Max making it on top. I have very small hands with a height of 160cm (yes, very tiny I know) and it maybe took a week or two of changing the way I handle the phone especially with how wider it is now, so I almost always have to use it with both hands on prolonged uses but I love the weight of the phone as it gives it a premium feeling for me. Since you have medium sized hands then you will certainly have a better time handling the phone. If you got loose or large pockets then you will definitively feel the phone moving around in there for sure, speaking from experience anyway xD If you get used to the phone with handling like I did, I think you will have an absolute blast :)

120Hz display …The battery life is good not in spite of it, but because of it. The adaptive refresh rate scales down to 10Hz when appropriate. This is lower than the constant 60Hz on the non-pro models. For this same reason the 13pro has a better battery life than the 13 despite having a smaller battery.

How is your battery health ?
I mostly agree. However, I find the camera processing to be abysmal a lot of the time. Mainly heavy handed noise reduction (which can't be undone with ProRaw like the sharpening can.) To workaround this I use the Lightroom app with the HDR capture function, but you can't really do this with higher motion subjects. All in all a good phone but I hope Apple tones down the processing in the next iteration.

Used the 13 pro for 5 months now, but gonna switch to the 13 pro max to see if i like it before I upgrade to the 14 pro/pro max. I have sierra now and will do silver and then purple on the 14 prp

13 pro max is so so much better than the iphone 12 that i used to have. the 12 had bad battery and it gets hot for no good reason. the 13 pro max performs like a champ since day 1. Totally worth the premium paid. I will only go for the pro model going forward.

I have a 12 Pro Max and I’m ready to go back to something smaller. I want the 13 mini but think the regular Pro is a good in between. I will wait til the 14 is announced. If the 14 is not exciting I’ll get a 13 Pro to save some coins

4 or 5 reboots/freezes in 6 months? My old Note 20 Ultra 5G has never ever restarted on its own. It has maybe stuttered a little bit 3 or 4 times in 2 and a half years and only while gaming.
Thinking about switching from an android to the 13 pro max once the price drops a smidge after the new phones are released. I've seen a 13 pro max in action and its buttery smooth looking and seems very easy to navigate. I also love the big screen. I'm somewhat familiar with apple products so I am very excited to go for it when I get the money saved up.

I find myself doubting to choose the 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max. Currently, I have a S10 Lite, which is a 6.7" phone and 186 grams (6.5 oz). I went to an Apple store to compare both iPhones with my S10 Lite, but I didn't got the confidence to make any decision. Here are my doubts:
13 Pro:
- It's shorther and a bit narrower compared to my S10 Lite, and I don't know if I will get used to the smaller screen
- the lower battery life compared to the Pro Max, although both of them are superb, for 100$ more the Pro Max has even better battery life and a bigger screen
For the 13 Pro Max:
- it's as tall as my S10 lite, but It's w i d e r. The Pro Max is around 0.04 inches wider than my S10 lite, without a case. So a Pro max with a case will be a bit wider.
- The overall handling of the phone. Since it's such a bulky but mighty device, I don't know whether my hands get used to and will feel comfortable after a few weeks of use. And how about putting it away in a pocket or something? Also, I consider myself having medium sized hands, I say that because size of hands matters with such huge phones from what I've heard.
These are my only concerns which prevent me from making a choice. My preference goes to a bigger screen with more battery lige ofcourse, but is that at the expense of overall handling and compactness? I would love to hear your thoughts on this! :)

iPhone 13 Pro Max owner here - the size and weight is definitely something to used to. My previous phone was the Galaxy S20 and that was certainly lighter and easier to hold with one hand as it's smaller. I splurged for the Pro Max because the price difference between that and the regular Pro isn't as high as I had thought. Battery life is the biggest consideration factor for me and when looking at countless battery tests it's always the 13 Pro Max making it on top.
I have very small hands with a height of 160cm (yes, very tiny I know) and it maybe took a week or two of changing the way I handle the phone especially with how wider it is now, so I almost always have to use it with both hands on prolonged uses but I love the weight of the phone as it gives it a premium feeling for me. Since you have medium sized hands then you will certainly have a better time handling the phone. If you got loose or large pockets then you will definitively feel the phone moving around in there for sure, speaking from experience anyway xD
If you get used to the phone with handling like I did, I think you will have an absolute blast :)

I see you have TELUS (guess you are in Canada). Looked at their plans and see that 50gb is the most monthly full speed data they offer. Is that enough for you?
