      Would be amazing to follow his interest in the sport as he grows up, and whether because of this he actually joins the Pro-Peloton.

    Love that the editor included the break away shenanigans of having to find a way to ditch someone who was too high up in the GC. Also the bottle kid, getting that respectful young lad on TH-cam is awesome.

      @daviddang82 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can you explain a bit about why they wanted to drop that guy? He was higher on GC but wouldn't that mean he would contribute to the break so he can gain more time?

      Have a high GC rider in a break will worry the main GC teams enough to make them chase the break so their riders won't lose time/placings. Once the gap from the peloton to the break is small enough the sprint teams will be interested in the stage win and push on, catching the break. Drop the high GC guy out of the break, and the GC team have no threat up front so let the break go. The sprint teams don't have the man power to chase the break all day and let them go, hence the break has the best chance of contesting the stage..

    watched this live today and i thought the racing was brilliant and the commentary was absolutley outstanding by Ned and Adam Blythe, and the young lad sprinting away and then getting the bottle given from the pro just topped it off.
    what an amzing sport

    • @mumofbrunodog
      @mumofbrunodog 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes it is great commentary - so good to watch although I think Pippa York always seems very straight faced - no emotions or smiling or enthusiasm despite loads of knowledge. I find it really odd. I loved the little lad getting the bottle after shooting along the road - moments like that are great. It reminded me when Mathieu van der Poel gave his bottle to that lad on top of a climb whilst he was in yellow jersey at the Tour de France this year. The lad was so thrilled.

      Step forward young zander Graham, young kid on Scottish/British race scene with a very bright future. His dad Martin is one of the grittiest cyclists ever to grace the Scottish scene. Young Zanders engine is no surprise to many from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

      No. No. Eenckhoorn shall be fined by the UCI for dispensing of waste in non-authorized zone. The young spectator needs FIRM counseling on sock length as well.

    That kid racing along the side walk did really great to distance these guys for a brief time. For an instance, I thought that was a legit but strange attack by someone from peloton who caught upto the leaders.

    there are some exceptional riding roads in the UK - not sure why the organizers failed to choose some of the more epic routes and Hills on offer - the sheltered sunken back roads and sparsely driven A-roads that crisscross throughout the UK with a bevy of short-sharp Hills offers a veritable rollercoaster ride that is exceptional - when the weather holds - mist bothers little but all too frequent RAIN makes for a long sad day in the saddle - so many great routes on offer with v. little traffic makes the UK one of the BEST countries for cycling - sure there are no real mountains to climb but if you put in 100 KM you will likely log 1500 - 2500 M climbing which is reasonable fare - Tour of Britain is growing but IMPROVE the route guys - so MUCH was excluded - why? - what are you saving it for ?
