Edit: Now that I've played it, I think this is the best wave yet. All the tracks are awesome. Oh, and freaking HALF-PIPES are back! Which reminds me... PLEASE bring back DK Summit.
I love how they played the 3ds rainbow road theme for the intro, stopped playing it for maple treeway, then played it for all the track announcements after it becfause its just such a banger.
I'm happy to not only see Boo Lake return but the fact that they actually update it to make it look and feel like an actual lake this time. In the GBA original it basically is just another ghost valley track similar to Broken Pier.
It also actually looks like Boo Lake, unlike Cheese Land and Ribbon Road. Those two courses look nothing like the originals and I can only tell they're the same by comparing the minimaps.
I have to admit that they appeared to have stepped up their game from the first wave. This is impressive. All these tracks look actually pretty good and the mixes sound great.
Honestly, I don't think so. In this trailer alone I'm seeing all the issues I already have with the previous releases of the booster pack courses. All the tracks look extremely distorted in their dimensions in a weird way, I can't even describe it. Like, they don't look like they are supposed to. The dimensions are just totally off and it feels out of place somehow.
I am so delighted that we're getting the Rainbow Road from 7 in this Booster Pass. It looks absolutely beautiful and gorgeous in HD. Plus the remixed music sounds heavenly, as it should be.
Never owned 7 but had a chance to play it a couple of times. My understanding from people who did is that its rendition of Rainbow Road is a pretty good one.
This update is incredible. The custom item option allows for such unique item setups. I hope Nintendo adds item rain as a feature (with item customizer for that mode) in a future update.
Yeah, and I just I hope that there is going to be an extremely gigantic significant graphics update for all of the courses, even in future waves and have all the graphics the same as the base game course graphics. And don't forget about those start/finish lines from the BCP, they probably need to be decorated on at least the 2 long ends of the start/finish lines and some having to be decorated on all ends of the start/finish lines just like the start/finish lines out in the base game, for example, GBA Ribbon Road has a start/finish line that has a yellow wooden rod right onto each end of it
Good lord, they went above and beyond with this wave. Maple Treeway looks gorgeous and on par with the base games tracks, and the transparent neon style of 3ds Rainbiw Road looks cool. Also, Boo Lake looks so mysterious and cool.
Okay these look absolutely beautiful. But I can’t be the only one needing some more double dash representation please! Daisy Cruiser, DK Mountain, Dino Dino Jungle, Wario Colosseum. So many great ones
As soon as I saw 3DS rainbow road and that GORGEOUS music kicked in…. Tears of joy. I only wish they would bring back the first person mode too, I loved playing that track with that POV!
Looks like Nintendo is giving these new courses more love and attention! This is a big step up from the previous and I hope they continue the Booster Course Pass with this quality!
@@George-zk4nv I really want N64 Wario Stadium to appear at some point, it's the only N64 track that has never been a retro track in Mario Kart's history They could very well split that long track into 3 parts like they did with Rainbow Road.
I love seeing the effort put into making these mario kart 8 tracks and not just upscaled tour tracks. That being said it'd be really cool to also get karts items and maybe even game modes
They still look like upscaled tour tracks. Can't you see? The texures, the geometry on the levels... none of this is in the level of the Mk8 originsl tracks.

Dear Nintendo crew, I wanted to say thanks for bringing back my favorite Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 7 back to Mario Kart 8. It was a very beautiful Course in my childhood and was always my favourite rainbow road of all time. When Mario Kart 8 was released, I was first a bit sad, because the course wasn’t there any more. But than the DLC has made everything well, when wave 3 was shown. So thank you, thousand times, thank you!!!
Seeing that those courses (3DS Rainbow Road & Maple Treeway from Mario Kart Wii) are gonna be in the game was so dope it legit brought a tear to my eye😢
The antigravity on Merry Mountain and Boo Lake, the textures on Maple Treeway, and 7's Rainbow Road really make this the best and most quality wave yet. I just realized Rainbow Road has antigravity too... WOOOOOOOOOOO Edit: thanks for the likes lol

I love that they are adding more Mario Kart 7 tracks. I still have the game till this day. Although Mario Kart DS is my all time favorite and first Mario Kart game I’ve ever played, I’m happy there adding more tracks from different Mario Kart games. Here’s hoping they will eventually add my favorite Course of all time “Delfino Square” to the game in the foreseeable future👍
MK7 had such amazing tracks, all of them except two have been in MK8 and Tour, those two being the Wuhu tracks, which i would love to see in MK8DX (though i would prefer if they didnt use the MK8 Wuhu Town music, it doesnt sound as good as the MK7 one)
With Mario Kart 7 being my first Mario Kart game, I was very nostalgic and happy seeing Maple Treeway and 3DS Rainbow Road make their return. And then seeing my favourite track, Rock Rock Mountain, appear, I became so excited! Can’t wait to revisit them again! :)

I am right there with you. When they showed Maple Treeway, and then 3DS Rainbow Road, and THEN Rock Rock Mountain, I felt like that meme of Vince McMahon where he just keeps getting more and more excited until he finally falls backwards in his chair.
But I’m going to be completely honest. I kinda like wave 2 better. I meen I really like this wave! But I feel like I know more of wave’s 2 tracks more than 3. It doesn’t mean I hate wave 3 I still like it and I will still look forward of what comes next!

this wave looks INSANE. the quality went crazy this time around. i was hoping to hear the remixes for all the tracks, but they stopped after rainbow road :(. I was dying to hear the new rock rock and berlin themes. they added more anti grav! and this time with effort put in! (boo lake looks stunning) the only complaint i really have is that they probably could’ve gone without the neon blue borders in rainbow road, but the track looks gorgeous nonetheless. can’t wait to play this wave when it comes out
All eight of these racetracks look amazing but I'm most excited for Peach Gardens in every way! I'm really looking forward to racing on all eight racetracks in Wave 3! It's gonna be awesome, that's for sure! 🤗

These Wave 3 courses are so incredible and nostalgic I am so ready for more Mario Kart action. If only they could bring back the rest of the Rainbow Roads instead of leaving them out that is. 🌈
these race tracks look really fantastic, I don't think there will ever be a better remake. Just seeing rainbow road only makes me so so excited to play. This is what players want and this is what we get, all I can say. Nintendo you are just a fantastic team and thank you for all the beautiful courses that you have already remastered and for completely new courses that you will create.
That booster course DLC is definitely becoming worth the price. Me and my roommates love racing each other and now we will get more fall and winter themed lanes
Both of these cups are going to be legendary. There’s not a single track in these waves that I want to avoid playing and they all look fun and beautiful. I hope they touch up the wave 1 tracks just a little bit
@@Kirbalita I wouldn't be either, but it's so lazy that I can't even think of it as an "art style" at this point - if the whole game looked like this then fine, but when you go from cool and generally realistic on the Wii U to something just imported and thrown together in blender overnight it sorta makes you a little upset... That's all, but if you like it then that's wonderful! I wish I did as well, I just can't no matter how I look at it. There was 0 effort put into any of the graphics for this booster dlc
this is going to be THE BEST wave out of the whole pack 3DS rainbow road is my favourite of all time, the nostalgia is gonna be amazing, if you haven’t purchased this pass yet and waiting for more to come, you HAVE to buy this pack now
I remember and enjoyed all these tracks in the past, and I cannot wait to race on all of them again! The updated graphics and modernized music are great too and really breaths new life into them for the future of the series. I'm really looking forward to: Rock rock mountain, Boo Lake, and 3DS Rainbow Road. My older brother and I are excited for booster course pass 3 and we're going to have a blast playing the game together on December 7th! Until then, happy holidays everyone.

Imagine how it would've looked like with the Mario Kart 8 2014 standard. These courses still look like Mario Kart Tour, a much cheaper simpler artstyle making them feel completely out of place from the base game. At least the price per track is very cheap.

Just noticed that the packs are released between 4 to 5 months. Wave 1 was in March, Wave 2 in August and now Wave 3 in December. So this means that 4 will be in April, 5 in July/August and the final one in November. That’s my theory
Hearing the Maple Treeway music hit me in the FEELS. I know people have wanted Mario Kart 7 Rainbow Road for the LONGEST too so this is great! It’s the one modern game I missed out on omg!
Seeing all the tracks I remember from Mario Kart Wii is giving me so much nostalgia. That was my childhood game and I’m so happy they keep remaking those tracks for the DLC.
3DS Rainbow Road is probably the gem of this pack. It might be a one lap/three checkpoint track but unlike RR64, it has the right on being that (Mount Wario/Big Blue levels of right) because of how long it REALLY is. Lots of people will race on Maple Tree Way often. Don't know if it's because I haven't played Super Circuit but discovering their tracks in a MK8 type of thing is nice.
Glad Nintendo listened to their fans, graphics look WAY better than wave 1 & I’m glad to see they are adding Anti Gravity back into these courses to give it that MK8 touch! 🤩

As a MK7 Vet Player it be nice to see this again maple treeway looks like a nice oak area to trotter on very woodlike and the new tracks I'll be looking on tryin out I will London Loop and Berlin Byways are both a smashing good time. hmm no toad's factory at the moment, but I will not give up hope either way looking forward to the next round of races on Dec (if I'm not to busy with me Fam.)
I was surprised that Maple treeway is in wave 3 as I thought it was coming later on the booster pass in the arcon cup,but Koopa Cape have to come as both alway come as counterpart to each other

I would have been sad if we had to wait another year for Maple Treeway. It’s one of my favorite courses of all time. The music and the environment give me such a nostalgic feel.
Rock Rock Mountain is my favorite. I miss the glide mechanic in Mario Kart 7. The momentum u get for good gliding was awesome. And the glider was unlimited until u spend a whole second on the ground
unlimited gliding until you press B by accident above the giant out of bounds area at the end of Wuhu Mountain Loop and have to go back to the glider ramp lmao

@@beccacroce7380 Mario Kart 7 is honestly one of the best mario kart games in terms of the tracks and their quality imo. Even the retro ones are overall great. I mean come on they got luigi's mansion, kalamari desert, waluigi pinball, airship fortress and dk pass! What stinks about it though is that it's limited by the 3ds. Mario Kart is a perfect family couch game and you can't do that with mk7. Also the roster is way too small for the characters they put in. While I like oddball character choices the roster is small enough where those choices were put in over mario kart staples.
That Rainbow Road is absolutely stunning! I've seen gameplay of the 3DS version but wow, they really made it look new. Also really excited for Maple Tree way, it looks like a fun and atmospheric track

I wanted to say thanks for bringing back my favorite Rainbow Road from Mario Kart 7 back to Mario Kart 8. It was a very beautiful Course in my childhood and was always my favourite rainbow road of all time. When Mario Kart 8 was released, I was first a bit sad, because the course wasn’t there any more. But than the DLC has made everything well, when wave 3 was shown. So thank you, thousand times, thank you!!!
Even though I have not raced this track, it still gets me the goosebumps every time! What a wonderful course!

I love that they are adding more Mario Kart 7 tracks. I still have the game till this day. Although Mario Kart DS is my all time favorite and first Mario Kart game I’ve ever played, I’m happy there adding more tracks from different Mario Kart games. Here’s hoping they will eventually add my favorite Course of all time “Delfino Square” to the game in the foreseeable future👍
MK7 had such amazing tracks, all of them except two have been in MK8 and Tour, those two being the Wuhu tracks, which i would love to see in MK8DX (though i would prefer if they didnt use the MK8 Wuhu Town music, it doesnt sound as good as the MK7 one)

With Mario Kart 7 being my first Mario Kart game, I was very nostalgic and happy seeing Maple Treeway and 3DS Rainbow Road make their return. And then seeing my favourite track, Rock Rock Mountain, appear, I became so excited! Can’t wait to revisit them again! :)

I am right there with you. When they showed Maple Treeway, and then 3DS Rainbow Road, and THEN Rock Rock Mountain, I felt like that meme of Vince McMahon where he just keeps getting more and more excited until he finally falls backwards in his chair.

3ds rainbow road is a major upgrade.
The Wuhu tracks are the only 3DS tracks that are in neither 8 or Tour. So chances are slim.

this wave looks INSANE. the quality went crazy this time around. i was hoping to hear the remixes for all the tracks, but they stopped after rainbow road :(. I was dying to hear the new rock rock and berlin themes.
they added more anti grav! and this time with effort put in! (boo lake looks stunning)
the only complaint i really have is that they probably could’ve gone without the neon blue borders in rainbow road, but the track looks gorgeous nonetheless. can’t wait to play this wave when it comes out

these race tracks look really fantastic, I don't think there will ever be a better remake. Just seeing rainbow road only makes me so so excited to play. This is what players want and this is what we get, all I can say. Nintendo you are just a fantastic team and thank you for all the beautiful courses that you have already remastered and for completely new courses that you will create.

That's all, but if you like it then that's wonderful! I wish I did as well, I just can't no matter how I look at it. There was 0 effort put into any of the graphics for this booster dlc
They should also touch up Rock Rock Mountain because it has the same problem of being taken straight from Tour.

I remember and enjoyed all these tracks in the past, and I cannot wait to race on all of them again! The updated graphics and modernized music are great too and really breaths new life into them for the future of the series. I'm really looking forward to:

Imagine how it would've looked like with the Mario Kart 8 2014 standard. These courses still look like Mario Kart Tour, a much cheaper simpler artstyle making them feel completely out of place from the base game. At least the price per track is very cheap.

Just noticed that the packs are released between 4 to 5 months.
Wave 1 was in March, Wave 2 in August and now Wave 3 in December.
So this means that 4 will be in April, 5 in July/August and the final one in November.

Hearing the Maple Treeway music hit me in the FEELS. I know people have wanted Mario Kart 7 Rainbow Road for the LONGEST too so this is great! It’s the one modern game I missed out on omg!

Seeing all the tracks I remember from Mario Kart Wii is giving me so much nostalgia. That was my childhood game and I’m so happy they keep remaking those tracks for the DLC.
3DS Rainbow Road is probably the gem of this pack. It might be a one lap/three checkpoint track but unlike RR64, it has the right on being that (Mount Wario/Big Blue levels of right) because of how long it REALLY is.
Lots of people will race on Maple Tree Way often.
Don't know if it's because I haven't played Super Circuit but discovering their tracks in a MK8 type of thing is nice.

Rock Rock Mountain is my favorite. I miss the glide mechanic in Mario Kart 7. The momentum u get for good gliding was awesome. And the glider was unlimited until u spend a whole second on the ground

@@beccacroce7380 Mario Kart 7 is honestly one of the best mario kart games in terms of the tracks and their quality imo. Even the retro ones are overall great. I mean come on they got luigi's mansion, kalamari desert, waluigi pinball, airship fortress and dk pass! What stinks about it though is that it's limited by the 3ds. Mario Kart is a perfect family couch game and you can't do that with mk7. Also the roster is way too small for the characters they put in. While I like oddball character choices the roster is small enough where those choices were put in over mario kart staples.
I know people were let down before with how some courses looked, but I bet they aren't now. These are PHENOMENAL!!! Wow!
These still look better than vanilla Tour and you can definitely do much worse for the price you're getting them.
