Let's not forget, Gage had a solid Lightsworn core as well. Thst could see him going back to Chaos again but with some solid lights and a better boss Monster in JD lol. I think that'd be solid. Tho Glad beasts is also a super sick deck.
It's a gamble sure but losing during CP6 gives you a great chance to pick up Stratos. Then you have 20% chance to pick Stratos up himself by spinning the wheel. It isn't too far fetch to gamble for both Commander of Disc and Stratos.
Since this episode was shot shortly before Cimo went away for his marriage and honeymoon, maybe he was just mentally somewhere else and no more energy for Yugioh
He's a competent player, but not very creative in his deck building. He focuses too much on what is good in constructed, and not the niche play options that this format supports.
I feel like some of that gets highlighted though when MBT or cimo talk about cards they see in other series, etc. Cimo has 4 series now that explore decks and strategies from this era, plus he was playing Yu-Gi-Oh at this time up until he took a break around phantom darkness. Gage has exactly prog and didn't start playing until early zexal era I'm pretty sure? It still doesn't excuse 20 something episodes of chaos back to back imo but there's no denying there's a major mismatch in card knowledge for this era of the game

Watching this the first time I didn't realize how badly Cimo played Missing so many free crush card chances, not using limit reverse on giant trunade and just letting him destroy his backrow for free.
Notable missplays that i see: game one cimo had no reason to not limit reverse the disc commander before gage tagged out, then gage would summon bestiara target ccv, cimo chains ccv and gets the pop he wants while getting full value from his backrow. Idk what the 50/50 was there since his line gave him a 100% chance of being fucked no matter what gage chose. Game 2 when cimo topdecks dark hole he shouldve just used it and normal summoned breaker. Glad beasts cant actually swing into breaker at all and he had warrior lady to out a set hoplamus

Honestly over time I've come to agree with the winner's wheel The banning for loss streaks makes sense and is obviously really strong Probably strong enough that it would be impossible to hold a winstreak And the probable optimal play would be to win 2 and then throw the third (Gage super didn't do this during DM) so you don't get your shit banned and you're still ahead However the wheel being this strong (though I'd argue not as strong as a consistent ban if you're losing every week) provides enough incentive to keep winning that we don't see that That not-throw omega punished Gage cuz of cimo's wheel rolls the next weeks iirc
Gage only used Book Of Moon twice. Once on Prime Material Dragon and once on his own Morphing Jar. At 43:38 his Book of Moon was used in the battle phase to flip his jar so when Snipe Hunter attacked it would reflip the jar.
I assume you're talking about 32:40? Notice that Cimo didn't choose a target until _after_ he rolled the die. Yes, it's unfair that Gage got to choose whether to chain the card with the knowledge of what the roll was, but that happened entirely because of Cimo.
It's so frustrating watching Gage go over a set because the set will have some really cool low rarity deck like Batteryman that might be playable in a sealed format and he'll just be like "This set has Gizzy and the lightsworns but unless I pull 10 ultras and a secret then there isn't really anything to look at here."
It's sad to think that if gage didn't get the gladiator beasf fusion monster he would have just played chaos again, like damn still only thinking about meta in a sealed setting

Lightsworn is just too sacky for sealed until things like Plague,Spore, Glow Up Bulb etc come out to benefit from the mills. Right now his play is to hope he doesn't mill JD/BLS/Sorc, or hope he mills into double Wulf. That and he has 0 Ryko and that pretty much caries the deck.
Honestly Arcana Force 0 The fool is actually kinda cracked. Tails effect negates any targetting on itself and fool itself can't be destroyed by battle. Your opponent has to waste dark hole or raigeki just to kill it. Its literally MINE on legs guys the card is fucking BROKEN
U forgot that to apply his coinflip arcana effect he has to be normal summoned in face up ATTACK position AND he CANNOT be switched to defense position manually. If ur opponent has a card that can chenge battle position and u dont have one, u r guaranteed to lose within a couple of turn.

I am so mad and annoyed at how everyone talks about cards mid eras like this. Dad and JD was the main thing but there were so many fun things to run. (batterymen, Jinzo Returner) also kekw chat you ran Cold Wave even in formats where you ran 20 spell/traps.
i've said it before the whole banning system (in case of a losing streak) is not good at all. I think it should be maximum 3 cards banned for each, any losing streak afterward the player could unban a card the opponent had banned before. I think this would make the system somehow balanced. No throws and no multi ban.
cimo had almost completely outplayed gage in game 1. If cimo used limit reverse on the disk commander when gage declared hopplomus, then limit reverse would resolve and get the draw 2 off disk commander. This means that cimo can fire off the ccv in response to the bestiari effect. There's also the chance that gage doesn't go for bestiari and instead goes for something like laquairi which auto loses to tribute summon prime material over disk commander and last will for reaper while conserving the ccv. The last option gage had was to test tiger after summoning something like laquari, which gets even more value off the ccv.
That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure why he didn't, since I assumed that's WHY he let gage destroy it instead of just using the Crush Card there and firing it off after the attack

cimo had almost completely outplayed gage in game 1. If cimo used limit reverse on the disk commander when gage declared hopplomus, then limit reverse would resolve and get the draw 2 off disk commander. This means that cimo can fire off the ccv in response to the bestiari effect. There's also the chance that gage doesn't go for bestiari and instead goes for something like laquairi which auto loses to tribute summon prime material over disk commander and last will for reaper while conserving the ccv. The last option gage had was to test tiger after summoning something like laquari, which gets even more value off the ccv.
That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure why he didn't, since I assumed that's WHY he let gage destroy it instead of just using the Crush Card there and firing it off after the attack

@@rabbidcreature9681 I don't think he threw per se. I think that he was just being greedy, and it came back to bite him hard. Cimo seemed really set on the idea that sticking Prime Material onto the field was his best option, but with Grand Mole in Gage's hand it REALLY wasn't
