    Hello Amy! I am a Physical Therapist in Las Vegas, NV and I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! -and so do my coworkers!
    These are so wonderful, therapist and parent friendly and I LOVE that when you show the home exercises that you're not just showing exercises with fancy therapy-based equipment. It's such a wonderful thing to see you showing an early intervention/parent centered model. I was looking for videos to send families as an adjunct to our telehealth visits and I thought I'd have to make my own...then I found your channel! My goodness you've got such a huge variety of wonderful things with skills broken down I was so pumped. I just wanted to say thank you so very much for all the time you've put in and for publishing your channel. It truly has made my transition to telehealth so much easier and the families I've shared the videos with have been so grateful! You are a gift to our profession! Keep it up! The "too big shoes" walking is a wonderful idea! I love it! If you want to reach out-my info is santosp@nv.ccsd.net
    I work at a school with children with profound physical and cognitive delays and we were thinking of making some 'how to' videos for parents. We have to get special consent and our principal was working on it....Seems like a great idea when we start going back to school.
    Thank you again from PT's everywhere! (and in Las Vegas, NV).

    This is very helpful. I have been asking for a stander for 10 months; finally got it. But from what you are saying; they gave us the wrong stander. May I know where you received this research from so I may show it to my sons therapist. I have been asking for the walker for 6 months and they said they are denying it because he is not able to propel it on his own. He does take steps but I was asking for the Mini Pacer Gait Trainer. This makes me cry all over again because I am constantly asking them to challenge or help my son and they take forever to approve equipment and don't help him on standing, crawling, or walking. I don't know what else to do because I keep asking and they are denying purposely; yet don't want to print out the denial letter so I can take it to my other insurance. Thanks again.

    Thank you for this. If the children have limited/restricted motion of ankle and knee because of position and not wearing any foot orthosis. Do we still can apply standing to the children?

    • @pediatricPTexercises
      @pediatricPTexercises  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, that would vary from child to child and what they looked like in my attempts to stand them. With knee restriction, I tend to use the sit to stand standers. Sometimes with ankle range of motion restrictions I can use Wedges under their ankle or angle the foot plate.

    • @pediatricPTexercises

      Thank you for the great question. Honestly, I don’t know the answer to the question. My gut feel would be that cumulative over the day would be just as good as standing for that amount of time straight through. I would be curious if others have an opinion.
