Yes. That's the point. When the "Game Over/Continue?" screen comes up in a game, you decide if you'll Continue or Game Over. It's usually not happy music that plays on these screens. Thus, that's what our opening is a throw back to.
Don't feel guilty! The last thing we are trying to incite here is guilt. Lots of people were asking us how ads worked, we thought we'd answer. Honestly, you guys are all supportive enough by simply showing up and watching. We fucking love all of you. It blows our minds that you like our show, and you really can not ask for more than that. Our message about the ads is intended to help the artists who inhabit TH-cam and bust their asses to bring legit, fun content to everyone. - Paul
You are mistaken. Paul was talking about the ride. Gore Verbinski was paying tribute to a setting on the ride. But I'm sure dogs have been holding keys since the beginning of time. -Nick Murphy
"When Aladdin is attacked by the tiger Rajah on the palace balcony, Aladdin quietly says a line that some people reported hearing as "Good teenagers, take off your clothes," which they considered a subliminal reference to promiscuity, whereas the script lists the line as "Good kitty, take off." Disney's official statement was the line reads "Good kitty, take off and go..." and the word "kitty" is overlapped by Rajah's snarl. After the word kitty, a second voice can be heard which has been suggested was accidentally grafted onto the soundtrack. Because of the controversy, Disney replaced the phrase with "Down, kitty" on the DVD release." -Taken from the Walt Disney's Aladdin Film Wikipedia page
Adblock is a plug-in that, well, blocks ads. On websites and in videos. It's pretty crazy. If you skip, the ad does not count as a full view and the artist gets less. But you watching our show is still very nice. So thanks. - Paul
I'm so glad I found these guys. You dudes are freaking hilarious. I've been watching non-stop for the past week now and I still haven't seen an episode I didn't like. Even the old ones still have charm. Keep kicking ass and being hilarious!!! You guys have me as a fan forever.
For everyone asking. Skipping an ad counts for less money. Full ad = $...Skipped ad < $. It's like getting a hand job when you know you can get dat whole ass. Honestly, you guys can do whatever you want. Block them if you want or not. We're thankful for any and all hand jobs....I think what I'm trying to say is without you guys we wouldn't have a show. So thank you so much.
How about only watch it on the content you truly enjoy? If not, that's fine. There are plenty of other ways to support your favorite artists - buy merch, tell friends, post their videos to blogs and forums. We all have our own ways of showing appreciation. Or you can do nothing, but then you are simply become just another consumer. Which is fine, but it's a lot more fun to be a part of something. - Paul
I get that. I really do. TH-cam has allowed us to be creative & now (thanks to ads) has allowed us to turn our hard work & creativity into a couple of bucks. If you want to watch videos with AdBlock, that's fine. I get that you want entertainment for free without annoying ads. We're merely bringing this to people's attention. We're extremely appreciative that people dig the show. No hard feelings either way, we just love making the show & Ads make it easier for us to keep doing it. -Nick Murphy
We plan on it! The only reason we don't do one for each episode is that we all have full-time jobs and are pretty busy. One day perhaps. We have some plans, though, that we'll probably talk about pretty soon. You will be pleased (I think?). - Paul
@@Harotham For how crazy the world was during the pandemic, the wildest thing that happened throughout the whole thing was Paul looking different. Nick and Josh had gradually changed as the show went on, but Paul was an unchanging constant until they returned to live recordings following the animated period. Suddenly, he looked like a completely different person. Edit: For some reason (probably because it's late for me), I misread my own original comment as saying Paul instead of Josh, but I still stand by what I said in this reply.
No guilt! We just wanted to make people aware. You do what you want to do. If you like a TH-cam artist, and want to support, you are now informed on how to do so for the future. See you in the Wasteland. - Paul
We don't monetize our facebook page (I'm not sure you can), so it doesn't affect us there. But be careful using it on sites you really enjoy - say Reddit, or something like that, because it causes them to lose ad views, and thus hurts their revenue. The e-economy is very much so sustained on ad views, so dealing with their annoying-ness whenever possible helps to keep the ship moving. - Paul
Haha, my technical knowledge of all this is exhausted. I know that it is not a good thing for you guys to reload and continually watch ads, either. They get pissed if people game the ad system. So don't do that! I'm not sure how the ads work full, honestly. I can only tell you that what I said above is true. - Paul
That helps us rise up in TH-cam rankings and gets us in front of more potential viewers. In a sense, yes it does, because it increases viewership, which increases ad views, which means we can make more awesome stuff. Do that for all your favorite TH-camrs and you'll win their eternal love and affection. - Paul
If Josh commits a crime today, why would the police draw a sketch today of how he will look in ten years? Josh would have to be wanted for that crime for ten years, and be in hiding. At this point, real Josh will look 10 years older. Sorry guys.
@5:33 been around for so long and i'm still watching all the episodes i watched in med school. now i'm associate professor and still watching continue when i'm on call!
Considering Continue's popularity didn't really take off until after JonTron started promoting the hell out of them, I'd say it's certainly rare. They've always done a great job but they were a very small operation before Jon started raving about them.
I LOVED Infinite Jest. I totally understand how it can be difficult and trying at times, but the amount of depth and passion he poured into that novel were astounding. There is a heartbreaking amount of love and compassion in his words. You can tell he very much so wanted to see the world become a better place, and that he hoped his writing would allow him to form an honest connection with people and improve their lives. I found it utterly inspiring. Joyce, man...god bless you. - Paul
Adblock stays on for me because usually when I do get to videos I like there are a minute 30 ads and that's ridiculous. To all the people who say the ads should be watched is like saying everytime you turned on youtube a telemarketing call that you HAD to listen to would be acceptable. It's not, that's why it stays on for me.
Michael Stiles So, more views = more money if they like the video, and watch through without adblock on, more subs = more base views, more likes = more subs, because more people will find the video and will want to give it a try.
Especially cause they repeat the sames one a lot. I totally understand. You don't have to defend yourself. We are still totally cool and stuff. Thanks for spreading the word and watching. It's already way more than we could ask ever ask of you. - Paul
Wow, I have no idea, actually. I have to imagine there is a cut-off point where the ad counts as viewed. I honestly could not tell you at what point. I would not begrudge a single person for skipping a 4 minute ad. I only know of two ad view types - played and skipped. That says to me there is either a point where it triggers as played, or it has to be viewed in full. If there is a 4 minute ad in front of you, and you're bored, go ahead and skip. Don't suffer for us. - Paul

Seriously, guys. You're the funniest thing on TH-cam. You make me proud to be from Philly. I've been trying to spread the word about your show as much as possible.
Great ep. It's really special how you manage to create such entertainment by merely being yourselves and not trying to force the comedy. At least that's how it comes across to me.

Another great episode. Have you guys ever played "Bucky O' Hare" for the NES? Really good game in my book. May be good a episode. Anyway keep the good work.

So why did it cut away when the two Josh(s) were gonna kiss?
If I could up vote your comment or like it a thousand times I woud.
Matt Mikulich Maybe if we all wish hard enough with our own Magic Lamps to see Josh kiss himself, we'll get an uncut version of the scene.
😂 I was dying
I gotta imagine any ad view before our video counts. Good thinking!

Sinbad was supposed to be on Continue instead of Josh but Josh's dad bribed Paul with all of that Aerosmith concert money. And some groupies.
Stay tuned...
