Historical pictures of places where the most important events took place, are compared as accurately as possible with current images from these same locations.

I saw some of your videos a few hours ago. I first started watching on my smartphone then to this one (it's very subjective) I realized that it was an affront to watch on my phone, to make the most of all this work nothing better than watching on a screen.
I will return to Normandy and I will see things even more differently because of you

Hi Briac!, It's good to hear from you!. I have the best memories of the 2 opportunities that I was in Caen and stayed at the Royal Caen Center hotel.
For me there is a before and after having been in Normandy, and it was this amazing place that I have so much love and respect for, which gave me the idea of creating the "Then and Now WW2" channel.
God willing, the opportunity to be on a new occasion in the lands of D-Day will be presented.

I bet the US soldiers never forgot the beauty of the ancient buildings of Europe. So different from their own vast country. I hope they found beauty amongst the horror. These photos make my mind do overtime and want to see it all

SWN, you are right, the methods used during the 2nd World War were very controversial, for the most part affecting the civilian and defenseless population much more than the enemies themselves, as you say, "war is hell".
