I'm Orlando Tristão, I'm from Portugal, I'm an electronics apprentice, particularly in this area of lithium batteries. I bought an torch but haven't been able to work with it yet. I've seen many videos on TH-cam but I couldn't acquire knowledge and security to run a test. This video of yours was very clear, and it filled me with courage to run a test, even with a simple 18650 cell. I would like to ask you if I can run a test with a 16S, 60v 20A lithium battery? You can run a test on anything up to 150V I think. All that matters is you don't exceed the wattage rating of 150W or 185W depending on which model you have. I'm assuming your battery is 60V 20Ah? Ah is an amount of energy over time. You cannot test it at 20A because the voltage is too high. Best you could do with the 185W tester is 3A running right at the limit of 185W. I would recommend adding another fan and propping the device up a few inches off the ground to get some air flow above and below the PCB. I have been able to run mine at much safer temperatures close to max wattage just by using a PC fan next to it. When I see more than 70 Celsius I start to get worried.
Its impossible to have the same size but different capacity. Say that again and think about it. Now look at the hundreds of different 18650 models and repeat that statement one more time. If you want a more apples to apples comparison you can repeat that statement while looking at various LiFeP04 cylindrical cells. If none of the other specs are different then yes, that is suspicious but still has a valid explanation. The 55Ah model came first, some advancement made in the chemistry or in the structure of the cell increased capacity a little over 25%. It has happened before. 18650's used to be 2200mah or 2400mah on the high end. Then we found materials that would get us up to 3500mah ( I don't count the 3600mah cells, I think they are overstated). that's a 50% gain in capacity, granted it was over the course of 20 years.

Does anyone take advantage of the 4 wire measurement ability or do we just go with what themanufacturer provides and don't think outside the box. Your testing could be off by a few Ah with a load of 100W on what looks like 12AWG

Its LFP, and max is 3,65v if you dont want to damage your LFP battery. Charging time depends how empty it is and how fast you charge. Makes sense right? :)
Did mention the disadvantages of prismatic i.e. thermal expansion (bulging) but did not mention that while the cylindrical cells don't expand... It actually leaks!!
Sir sana may tutorial kayo kung paano mag diy ng solar powerbank. At clip fan na puwedi din lagyan ng battery at sa solar icharge. Wala po kasi kaming kuryente na hanggang now. Almost 4 months na po kaya naghahanap po ako ng mga mura DIY about sa Solar. Thank you

I have had these cells over a year , one set i over charged to the point it exploded . 6v per cell to be exact , after it was drained to 3v and resealed it was fine still using it today . Never smoked or flames just made a lot noise like a shotgun going off.
