Hi Allison 🥰 our outdoor cushions were the same from being left out in the rain before I could put them away. I tried the same method as you and no luck. But then I used toilet bowl bleach spray and they are like new now! 🙌🏼 I just sprayed in spots where there was mildew and the bleach spray soaks it up and disappears. Best wishes, love your videos ☺️

I alternate between people I like to marathon watch whether it’s to catch up or to revisit my favorite videos . Today you were my choice and anytime I watch you you just bring a sense of peace to my soul then God finds a way to speak to me through you today if I seem to not be listening any other way for whatever reason . And you hit the nail on the head with your readings etc . I do believe we find those people on earth at the precise moment we need them . I do believe in messages from above .
So thank you for not allowing the World to pressure you out of keeping your faith hidden behind the scenes . Thank you for allowing the light to shine bright and reach those of us who need a little guidance from time to time .

For the outdoor cushion I would just buy new specifically outdoor ones! Might be a little bit of an investment upfront, but at least you won’t have to worry about those spots anymore :)

Hi Allison, love your vids!… I use a scotch-guard spray on my outdoor patio cushions and rugs (about 3 treatments) to keep the fabric from mildew over the more moisture seasons… . (acts like a water repellent for the fabric), also keeps the fabric cleaner and more durable for the family and pets using it all the time 😁

Hi Allison! A last ditch effort for your white porch cushion would be to get an empty spray bottle and mix Clorox and water . Spay this on all the mildew spots and let the cushion sit out all day in the sun. This method has amazingly helped me to remove mildew from lawn furniture and also stubborn stains from white clothing.
The Lysol mold & mildew remover works well and only $4!!!!

I was scrolling and found your channel and I went ahead and subscribed. Love the book shelves the way you set them up. I also love the natural colors in your house. You and your husband are so precious and the card you got was so sweet and not cheesy at all. You are beautiful and your personality really matches you. I loved the Prayer book for girl. I will have to see if I can find something like that. I was so excited to see you pray together . Very refreshing and that's what this world needs more of,so thank you. You made my day.
Ever try using the washing machine?! I noticed you have a front load HE machine. It'll get it super dry in the spin cycle. Try using hydrogen peroxide (it's what oxygen bleach is). Spray it with the hydrogen peroxide, put it in the sun to kill the mildew. Wash it in the washer, hang dry in the sun!! Getting it super wet again and again will make the mildew worse unless it gets completely dried out. May take a couple tries but this should work eventually. 💗

hey Allison... the cushions look like they have mould, which makes sense living in florida where it's hot/humid/moist more often than not. I assume they aren't outdoor specific cushions which is probably why you're having the issue you can. people often suggest bleach for mould but bleach doesn't actually kill mould and it's super toxic, and trying to clean mould just disrupts mould spores which is how mould spreads. just something to keep in mind! we unfortunately dealt with mould issues in our last rental, finding out the house was essentially contaminated haha so I feel compelled to share because it was such a shitty experience and there's a lot of misinformation about mould + tackling mould, that's actually more harmful than not xx

When I lived in FL I sprayed my cushions with a strong mixture of bleach and water. Then I left them in the sun to dry. Don't rinse off the bleach mixture. It worked for me. Good luck!!
Try setting the cushion out on a really sunny day to let the sun “bleach” the mildew spots out.

Put a blanket or nice beach towel over the cushion? You still get the comfiness of the cushion and it's covered up with something pretty.
Maybe try upholstery cleaner or a mildew cleaner. I wouldn't get it wet anymore as it might be adding to the mildew problem. If you get it cleaned spray it with a water & stain proofing spray to protect it. Good luck.
So I live in Canada, and where I live it’s very common to bring the cushions inside when it’s humid OR store them in an outdoor box overnight before bed. Kind of a pain but worth it to save your cushion!
Olive green pillows would be amazing on the chairs to tie in your love of greenery! Or sage!

Adding scotch guard to the outdoor bench cushion might help keep moisture out which may be causing the mildew
South Florida living: I’m sure you hate to do this but replacing your seat cushion with a mildew resistant one will definitely help. I’ve learned the hard way :)
Also, received my lulus sweater dress in both colors and love! May only be able to wear it 2x a year but it’s soooo snuggly! Love all your content!

The only thing I can think of for your cushion is to try pressure washing it! I live in Florida too and do find most outdoor stuff gets about one year of life around here 🤣 unless you buy the expensive “sunbrella” fabric, but we still have to pressure wash ours to get it back to new. Hope that helps

I think you should put the bowl you have on the top left onto one of the middle shelves like the second one down and then put the woven basket on the top left with a plant!
If your cushions have mildew then lay them out in the sun because sun kills mold and mildew. Borax may clean it but it may not necessarily kill the mildew spores and you may actually make them spread by scrubbing at them unfortunately. Sunlight will definitely help the best, it just may take some time out in the sun.

I recommend using Oxiclean soake in hot water for 30 minutes or so. Your pillows looks big so maybe use the bathtub will be better option. I use this method on pretty much everything when mold or other bacteria grow on fabric and works great. Hopefully works for you😊(sorry about my terrible English)

I saw some people recommending bleach for the cushions and I echo this sentiment! However I will say to maybe look into just getting a new cushion still, because some materials just don't hold up well outside or in high humidity climates. You can maybe have this cushion out for better weather, and another one that can hold up to moisture better.
