@@ravanraja8079 ഒരു ചെറിയ ചോദ്യം ആണ് ചോദിച്ചത് എങ്കിലും അതിന്റെ ഉത്തരങ്ങളും തുടർ ചർച്ചയും വലുതാണ്.
ചില hierarchical behavior നമുക്ക് ഒഴിവാക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നതാണ്. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് സാർ വിളി. പുരോഗമിച്ച സമൂഹങ്ങളിൽ ആരും സാർ വിളിക്കാറില്ല. അത് നമുക്കും ചെയ്യാവുന്നതേ ഉള്ളു.
അതെ സമയം പ്രാകൃതമായിട്ടുള്ള hierarchies ഉണ്ട്. ഇന്നലെ കണ്ട ജയ് ഭീം സിനിമയിൽ കാണിക്കുന്നത് പോലെ ജാതി തിരിച്ചു നീതിയുടെ വിതരണം തുല്യമായി കൊടുക്കാത്ത അവസ്ഥ. ഒരു ആധുനിക സമൂഹത്തിനു ചേരാത്ത തീർത്തും അനീതി ആയിട്ടുള്ള ഇത്തരം hierarchies അവസാനിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.
വേട്ടയാടി നടന്നിരുന്ന കാലം മനുഷ്യർ കുറച്ചൊക്കെ egalitarian ആയിരുന്നു. ചെറുഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ആയപ്പോൾ തന്നെ അതിനൊരു ഗോത്ര മൂപ്പൻ ഉണ്ടായി. അവിടെ തന്നെ hierarchy ഉണ്ട്. ചെറു ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ വലിയ ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ആകുകയും രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ആകുകയും സംസ്കാരങ്ങൾ ആകുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ സമൂഹം കൂടുതൽ complex, stratified/ hierarchical ആയി.
എല്ലാ തരത്തിലും സമത്വം എന്നത് ഒരു utopian ആശയം ആണ്. സാമ്പത്തികമായി എല്ലാവരും ഒരുപോലെ ആവുന്ന ഒരു അവസ്ഥ ഉണ്ടാകില്ല. ഒരു പക്ഷെ ഒരു മഹാ യുദ്ധത്തിന് ശേഷം ഉണ്ടായേക്കാം. കാരണം പണമുള്ളവനും ഇല്ലാത്തവനും യുദ്ധശേഷം ഒരു പോലെ ദരിദ്രർ ആയേക്കും. 10,000 പേർക്ക് ഒരുപോലെ 1000 രൂപ divide ചെയ്തു കൊടുത്താലും ഒരാഴ്ചക്കുള്ളിൽ ചിലരുടെ കയ്യിൽ 1000ന് മേലെ പണവും മറ്റുള്ളവർക്ക് 1000ന് താഴെ പണവും കാണും എന്തെന്നാൽ പണം കിട്ടുന്ന നിമിഷം വിനിമയവും തുടങ്ങുകയായി.
Equality ഒരു ലക്ഷ്യമാണ് എന്ന് കരുതി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചാൽ മാത്രമേ ഒരുപാടു ജീവിതങ്ങൾ മെച്ചപ്പെടു even when we know that it's utopian. We need to provide access to resources for all people. One might be using a golden spoon but we need to ensure a steel spoon at least for all. For example, a few might get the costliest education but we need to ensure every single one of them gets a decent education.

It's a fact that nature determines culture to a great extent.
Cultural evolution with genetic evolution have many parallels, clear differences & both can interact with one another and influence both transmission and selection. If a certain behavior may be innate or culturally acquired, spatially varying environments will favor cultural transmission, whereas only highly stable environments would favor the genetic determination of the behavior. Cultural patterns of transmission, innovation, random fluctuations, and selection are conceptually analogous to genetic processes of transmission, mutation, drift, and selection. We do not have to expect cultural transmission to follow the rules of genetic transmission strictly. The more common a cultural trait is in the population, the more likely it is for an individual to have the opportunity to acquire it through social learning. The size of the population may also influence the continuing transmission, and thereby survival of a cultural trait.
We often assume that the opposite of ‘learned’ is ‘innate’. Learned things over a long period of time becomes innate. If a trait is 1. Complex, 2. Has energetic or material costs which vary between individuals, 3. Has persistence over evolutionary time- then it is presumed to be an adaptation.
Consider the example of dams constructed by beavers. These artificial lake formed by dams provides protection from predators, serves as a food store, and serves as a safe site for the nest. These beaver dams have a major effect on the surrounding ecosystem, creating wetlands that provide habitat for a diverse wildlife.
It must have evolved over many generations during which the immature or basic form of dam building by beaver ancestors entrapped small pools of water that benefited the survival of those ancestors. In time, the selection pressures arising from advantages created by those ancestral practices evolved into the complex and highly integrated behavior of dam building that is characteristic of modern beaver populations.
Cultural traits can alter the selection pressures on genetic traits and vice versa. In my presentation published in Neuronz channel “ഇന്ത്യക്കാർ: ആരാണ് നാം?” I’m mentioning about the interaction between cultural and genetic evolution through the example of lactose intolerance/ lactase persistence in adulthood. For most of human history, after childhood adults did not typically produce the enzyme that digests lactose. However, with the cultural practice of cattle domestication, a genetic mutation (13910T) that enabled the production of the lactase enzyme in adulthood was strongly favored by selection. That is why people in North-West India are vegetarian & lactase persistent, because they are able to consume more milk based products; where as North-eastern & South Indians have lactose intolerance and are mostly non-vegetarian in comparison. @@kartikad5612 I had been reading about how epigenetic changes affect gene expression- DNA methylation.
The studies of epigenetic changes with development on nerve cell vs muscle cell, epigenetics and age, epigenetics and reversibility on smokers vs non-smokers vs former smokers. How epigenetics affect health- infections, cancer, nutrition.. One example was Dutch hunger winter famine in 1944 in which kids born were more likely to develop heart diseases, schizophrenia and type 2 diabetes.
In time I hope we could have more studies published which will give us more precise understanding on epigenetics.
