You gotta love this kid; he's all heart! I love the musical and rhythmical risk taking. His approach and mannerisms remind me of the great Andre Watts, also a risk taker who can't keep his face from moving!
Well, many times he doesnt play right notes... His interpretations are very uniqe and intetesting, but there is too many kicks throught the whole competition.
Horovitz' mistakes were conected to his older age, as I recall. But somehow I sense very fighty attitude from yoir side so will not continue the discussion. Great that you have found pianist that resonates with your heart 🥰 for me too many mistakes are disturbing mine heart, and that is also ok - we are simply different peoplex and thats ok. Chopin's music forever ❣️

Hola. Creo que es una interpretación algo sucia. Todavía estaba en una etapa en la que se veía lo artístico de García García, y no lo buen pianista que podía llegar a ser sin tanto aspaviento. Sin embargo, me gusta su técnica. Algo descontrolada pero... no es la peor polonesa del concurso. Muy bien, García García! Otra peculiaridad de su interpretación es lo brillante de su sonido.

His playing is so wonderfully, exuberant, energetic and bright. Even his wrong notes are played with so much passion and therefore don't bother me.

There it is, the probably most difficult thing in Chopin, to NOT exaggerate with RUBATO. But, a very good performance overall
If you compare this performance with Kyohei Sorita's performance, you can clearly see the difference in tone between FAZIOLI and STAINWAY.

Agree but don’t you think that’s the best part of the competition this year? The jurors weighed his musicality more and that led him to the 3rd prize.

反田さんのポロネーズと全然違う。これじゃ全く別の曲だ。ガルシアさんは、華やかだけど荒すぎる。反田さんは気品があってノーブルな感じだけど、やや華やかさにかける。
