That starting pitcher was throwing some heat son!!! His fastball was 101 mph and then he would drop the change up on you at 71 mph. Talk about nasty!!! But he got absolutely rocked!
What I love about this game is that they carried over the colors of the NPB teams and their "star" that appears on the title screen is clearly Hideo Nomo. The fact Jaleco blatantly stuck him in the game by using his trademark windup is just great. And they even did that in the NES Bases Loaded games too.
If this were great, then baseball games would be using that camera for the field. But they don't. Because it's trash. Best baseball, especially of this era, is Ken Griffey Jr presents MLB. That's the pinnacle.

Just wasnt as good, the first griffey game is the best baseball game ever. You could actually play a franchise and it was fun as hell. They definitely used the likeness of the real players too just with different names because I remember going through and editing all the names to the real players. I mean who doesnt remember the super jacked dude who batted after Griffey. And he was supposed to be jay buhner.
Homerun glitch: Hold UP on the D Pad while pressing the swing input. Every. Damn. Time! Loved this game. Would create mock leagues, and play out seasons. We had to be creative in the 90s!!!
Man this was bad. I remember renting this one time and playing it with my brother. We liked the batting angle because it wasn't behind the catcher. The fielding aspect though is just an absolute trainwreck. Which is clearly shown even in the second AB hahahaha a grounder that goes ALL THE WAY TO THE WALL!!
I always love trying to have the fielder do a dive as the screen goes to fielding mode to pitching. Time it right and they glide fast all the way across the screen fast. It’s hilarious! 😂🤣😂🤣
Although it looks slick graphics-wise, the fielding in this looks sluggish. I think Bases Loaded II from the NES had it better...though I never did play this game because I didn't have an SNES until much later (by then, Playstations were out).

That screen used the Super NES's rarely-used high-resolution mode (512x448). The only other games that use this mode are RPM Racing (one of the worst racing games on the planet) and Secret of Mana (on the menu/stat screens).

That side arm pitcher was so good and suddenly every hit is a homer. A lot of the pitchers were like that.

SNES wasn’t good at moving a lot of sprites around at once, so it made a poor platform for sports games overall.
