I have had mine for a few days now. I am impressed by the speed it operates. It is very flexible and even directly supports VVT timing function on my Miata 2001. Updating it is easy. The instructions imply that for Win 7 you need to manually add drivers. Mine worked simple Plug and Play. I did go ahead and manually add the drivers but not sure it needs them on all versions of Win 7. The screen is color and easy to read. For $40 bucks you can not lose in my opinion. Also this is a very rugged unit. The case is well formed with good material. It won't support ABS or a few other advanced features. But you can just go rent a higher functioning unit at the car parts store for free.

My big complaint is that it only finds powertrain codes (stuff that turns on the "Check Engine" light).. It does not display network codes, chassis codes, or body codes. So if you have an engine or transmission problem, it will help. But if you'r problem is something not related to to the powertrain or passing an emissions test, it's useless.
I just bought one off eBay. $36. My engine is acting a bit squirrelly... nothing serious but before I take the vehicle to the mechanic, I'd like to have an idea what it needs. Hopefully, this thing will tell me if it has a bad sensor or something like that...

You can also disconnect the battery terminals and clamp them together with a vice wrench, do that for 20 minutes and that will also clear the check engine light, btw make sure you turn on your head lights to drain any power in the electrical system at the same time.

I have a $20 Walmart scanner that works fine on my car but when I use it on my truck it works for a few seconds than loses connection and I have to rescan. Do you have any idea why that happens? I've held it still incase there's a loose wire but it still happens.

So what if it is Made In China? Not everything they sell is inferior junk. In fact...those fiendish little Asians are really clever at producing good electronics at a reasonable price. Even their Tires are getting better in quality compared to even 10 Years ago. Some are on par with North American Standards and Specs. It's not sub-par, and it is not one of those things that you're going to eat...right? You can get one for around $40-$50 Dollars and it works well and does the job it is intended for...or you can spend hundreds more for one that doesn't do anything more spectacular than this one does!

Go online and try to find all of the codes for your specific car. Then just read up on whatever code you want. It is all online Al.

I picked one up a few months ago, it work very well, really has helped, got it on amazon for 36 bucks I believe is what I paid.

What's your SUZUKI 's model? Truck? What problem you used the tool to diagnose?

The enter button wasn't in the right place for you because 90% of people in the world are not lefty.
It makes more sense for it to be on the right, as we read left to right so the natural progression is for it to be on the right-hand side.
The enter button should probably just be in the center.
