I started hunting around Te Iringa track and Hut area back in the late 80s and i can remember seeing Kaka's, Tuis, and all sorts. The bush was alive with birdlife. We went to the same area in 2018 and all I saw was one bush robin the whole trip. I wasn't sure if the lack of birds was caused by 1080 or just the influx of stoats, rats, and weasels.
i feel your pain woodsman and it will only get worse under this sage woman, she has her eyes on the kaweka's and is refusing to talk to hunting groups, we need to take action against the forest and bird and doc, along with big business like garth morgan ,its just a bloody money making venture for those involved in the poison brigade

They are about to drop1080 tomorrow up tolly road. So much for filling the freezer up there in the near future.......
