I feel this so hard - my dog's been going through some medical stuff and I keep having to make decisions about whether I put her through INCREDIBLY STRESSFUL vet visits and procedures, or whether I just... don't, and deal with the ramifications of that. And it's so hard to make those decisions for our babies who can't tell us what they want and don't understand us when we tell them we're doing it to make them feel better.
Dear Carrie, you are not complaining. She is your baby. My senior cat is almost 16 and he has a lot of health problems. I love him so much it hurts. Have a nice day love you

The day I realized it was time to let my dog go was the worst day of my life so far. After he was gone I realized how much him having health issues had stressed me out. It was the worst thing to lose him but it also was a relief for him and for me too. The constant worrying and stressing was over and then it was grief and sadness and I just really miss him. It took a long time, for months, until I was able to look pictures or videos of him. Now it's been more than two years. I still miss him a lot. I will never stop missing him. I think about him often but it's all good. I love all the memories. ♥️

I 100% feel you about Layla- we decided last month that my dog is now on what we're calling "doggy hospice"- we are keeping her comfortable and giving her the most enjoyable last part of her life with us as we can. She turned 17 last fall, so she's had a good life! And, perhaps predictably, given how stubborn she is- since we decided to provide comfort care but no more veterinary interventions, she's thrived and has put back on about 1/2 a pound (she weighed in at 11 1/2 pounds most of her life, but had gotten down to 10 1/4 over the past year or so) so who knows!

So me and my sister shared custody of my dog. She was my emotional support animal. We just had to put her down Wednesday. She got a form of cancer that develops very aggressively and there was no way of treating it. It’s been very hard without her
I was visiting San Francisco for the first time and they have really weird parking restrictions in some areas and I got a 70$ ticket for misreading a sign and parking during “street sweeping” hours 🙃
You definitely need to share. I've been through similar towards the end with our beautiful senior. I think you do just have to concentrate on their comfort.

We just got discharged from the ER after my infant had a seizure and it felt like a relief to see you had a new video. I felt like I should let you know because its pretty cool that your videos are an escape for people.
I hope Layla has a successful recovery. Dealing with pet health issues is stressful af. A few months after we rescued our Dashound Mix she broke her leg and had to have surgery to have 2 titanium bars put in it to fix it (about $4,000 in vet bills total, but the surgery was a success and now 2 yrs later she plays and walks like nothing ever happened to it.) Then thus past summer our German Shepherd had a massive tumor on his side that started to affect his quality of life (he was barely eating, lost so much weight and energy he could barely carry himself when he walked, and was having constant diarrhea) so much that we had to put him down. 😭 we had him cremated and now he's in a little box next to my husband's old Great Dane (that passed from bone cancer) in our living room bay window with our plants.
I lived in LA for a year and parked with a bunch of cars near Will Rogers beach and also wasn't paying attention to the signs, just following the crowd. My parking ticket was also like 90 bucks and that was in 2013.

I totally stopped chewing my granola bar when you said you haven’t been to Long Beach 😆 just moved from there to SD but lived for 5 years there and I can vouch for the wonderful small biz community for thrifting, vintage, plants, decor, food, etc if you’re ever in the mood ❤ Also totally had tears rolling down my face when you talked about feeling bad having Layla go through all of that. I would totally feel the same way, and you’re making each decision as best as you can because you love her so much! ❤🐾
Sweet Layla, I hope she’s back to normal quickly! My senior girl just had dental surgery/mass removal and it truly is so hard. We’re also headed down a possible cushings diagnosis for our boy and even though they’re seniors I feel like they’re still too young for a lot of this, it really sucks. You just gotta do the best you can and love on them as much as possible ❤
Speedy recovery to Layla 💛. Our dog also had a tumor on her eyelid. That was such a scary thing, and it didn't look pretty while healing, but it turned out really well. Hoping for the same for Layla.

I parked in a lot that's open till sunset, came back right at it I guess, and I still got a ticket for $88 for violating the rule. I'll never forget that number even now years later. I'm so petty I vowed to never donate money to my college because I already donated $88 lol
