That is one great video. Thank you for pointing out what I did wrong when I tried to propagate my own succulent. Instead of water, I added it into dirt. Well.... I am learning the right way now. Thank you!!! ❤️❤️
I have some leaves that have been laying on gravel for a few weeks with no luck. Just removed them and am trying your method now. I don't use cling wrap so I am re-using a veggie bag that has holes pierced in it already. Added a few more holes with a pencil. Will update in 6 weeks!
This is so exciting! I think it is the fastest method I have seen. Will let you know how my leaves do after a couple of weeks!!! Thank you for sharing, Judy
I started doing this to a climber I have - long before I even saw that vid - not realizing I'd been on to a technique 😃. I felt that the Rose was just branching out all over the place so I started tying it here and there on to itself...now after seeing this vid, I'm better equipped! Mine's in the ground...thanks, Shirley! 👍🏾
Thank you ! My jade Was dying and lost all its leaves and I just put them in a bowl with water like you suggested.. hopefully I can have lots of little jade babies now!
@@lelessucculentsusa8978 do the roots touch the water after a while? About how large should the bowl be compared to the leaves (how high above the water should the leaves be?) Thank you so much for this video it is amazing!
I tried something similar to this, but the leaves turned mushy and black after a couple of days. Does it have something to do with the weather? It was raining for the entire week and there was barely any sun.
Hi Bibi, at the beginning the leaves don’t touch the water. After few weeks, the roots grow longer and longer, the roots touch the water. I have video number #105, water propagation succulents. The leaves touch the water Video #106 soil propagation. I tried different way to propagate and all successfully. Thank you for watching my videos

Thanks for tutoring. Seems like it grows faster in water
Are the leaves supposed to be under or above the water level? I couldn’t really tell, really wanna try this I just tried doing it by laying them in soil but only two of the 12 leaves produced the rest dried up even with misting
The leaves hang on the plastic and don’t touch water. They just get the water vapor only and you need to poke some more holes on plastic wrap for the air coming in and out
@@LuckyNalaMine too, the leaves absorbed too much water n were rotted. Then I saw in the post above by Vivek B, LeLe replied that the leaves don't touch the water! I'm going to try again.

Just guessing 3or4 moths the roots have got a bit longer but some why it's growing sooo slow Ummm yeah I never got any big after getting roots and stayed like that for a long while before it die 😂😭
To those who will ask if water propagation is better than soil propagation, YES! I've already tried soil prop. but the roots are too slow to grow . I think succulents grow faster in water propagation because roots eagerly want to reach the water. Same analogy as with aerial roots, they grow because they want to catch moisture in the air (Air propagation is suitable for humid areas).
