    Interestingly enough, when AKME 1st came in, it was thought almost impossible to move the players and improve the situation we were in. Let's hope this time, AKME, IF their ACTUALLY given an OK from the Reinsdorf's, can work some roster magic in finally doing a rebuild that this new era should've started off with

    • @meekrab9027
      @meekrab9027 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Interestingly enough when AKME 1st came in, they moved almost all the players and made the situation we were in much worse by loading up on expensive veterans instead of continuing to build on the multiple young lottery picks on the roster, most of whom have now proven their worth while DeMar and Vuc have only gotten older.

    • @NBAwasBetterInThesands
      @NBAwasBetterInThesands หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @meekrab9027 Correct. You are making my point for me. The truth is management wanted a retooling. Wanting to compete in mediocrity rather than going into full rebuild.
      Therefore, the point I made was this. "If" the Reinsdorf's allow AKME to actually go for an entire rebuild and draft the players with a high enough pick ( lottery willing of course ) then IMHO that would at least give them an honest opportunity at a true AKME hand crafter rebuild rather than a "inherited talent retooling"
      The young talent they let go, NONE of them were worth rebuilding a team around. Lauri has gotten better. No doubt. But look at Utah. He's not a building block.
      And while I think we may agree more than we disagree. On this I'll have to respectfully say hell no. The retooling and what I believe is ownership decision to build around Zach set the organization back 5 years at least when considering we resigned that passive aggressive one dimensional cry baby clown and the domino's of contracts that followed due to ownerships willingness to force the hand of management to continue said rebuild.
      I'd rather take a chance at a reputable unleashed AKME in a rebuild than a retooling any day.
      🍻✌️

    Bulls have to realize they have to tank and tank correctly this time. Before they were half foot out and half foot in then try to speed up the process. You only trade future 1st round picks when you are a top 3 seed to get you over the hump

    It’s always hard. Can’t believe there’s debate on whether we should give Demar 40 mil a year or not😂😂

    • @reggiebanksrb10
      @reggiebanksrb10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They already tried. He wants more years. If you can get him to sign 3 years 100M I’d say that’s the only way you keep him.

      @YKBOOGIEEE หลายเดือนก่อน

      I understand what you mean. But that’s still too much imo. I know Demar is a great midrange scorer but I just don’t think he’s worth that much money. Maybe if he was younger then I would definitely consider it.

    • @reggiebanksrb10
      @reggiebanksrb10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@YKBOOGIEEE the thing that’s wrong with that take is, DeMar has a game that isn’t predicated on overwhelming athleticism. He takes care of himself and respects the game. I can see him maintaining his play for a couple more seasons the way we see with Steph, KD, Lebron, Dame late in their careers. Obviously those guys are a tier above, but I’ve seen nothing from Demar that indicates he’ll be falling off in the near future. Especially considering he’s not going to have to shoulder as much of a load next year when you have Coby and Ayo coming back. You’re most likely gonna get a star level talent to take on the scoring load. And don’t discount the possibility of Zach still being around. While he had a horrible season, I truly think having him around after Coby and Ayo got going would have made this a playoff team. I’m not in the camp that just assumes Zach is this selfish “me me me” player. I think he cares about winning and is willing to sacrifice to do so.

      20-25 million a year is fair if you're bringing him in to be a 2nd option for a solid playoff team.

    From my perspective of this season, the biggest change I would like to see is in the center position. Vooch is no longer an all-star caliber player. Sure, he might have some good games on the stat sheets, but they just seem like empty calories for me. More often than not, he looks checked out of this team. Drummond, on the other hand, can still be serviceable but he can be a liability at times too (Craig incident and almost injuring Caruso). Sanogo is good but still needs a lot of work.

    Great take. I agree with AK that incremental change is better than tanking and rebuilding. It almost never works in any sports, the one exception is basketball because one player can have such a huge impact. I think it's more important to move Demar than Zach, as unpopular as that may be. I haven't given up on Zach. He's hurt. He was once a top ten player and he's relatively young, and maybe healthy. Still, moving both would be best. Lonzo is unlikely to play in the NBA again, imo. If they were to get Trae Young I'll never watch a Bulls game again. Paul George is old. But Donovan Mitchell?! Omg, that would not only make them significantly better, but the team wealthier. He's a superstar and will be for awhile. There aren't many players that are worth watching just for the sake of, but he's one of them.

    Dump Billy, Zach, Vooch, Lonzo and DeMar for picks, role players and an actual Pro coach...grab best available with the 11th pick, expect a high lottery at the end of the 2025 year, build around Coby, P. Will and that 2025 pick. Find a star player in the offseason that works well with the roster and fortunes change. If done properly, the Bulls could be a playoff team by 2026.
    Trying to hang on to these old players that cost way too much is a terrible idea. DeMar and Vooch are decent, but no way the two of them are worth $60M even in today's market.

    Demar DeRozen is a good offemsive player not a great one. He is also a mediocre to poor defender and mediocre to poor rebounder as a guard. These are facts. Was he better and more explosive when he was younger, absolutely!!! We can do a lot with his salary for an above average scorer and poor defender. We need more length, defense and of course long range shooting!!! Plus him and Vooch are offense stallers and slow ball movement as a result. Its boom or bust for DeRozen and Vooch. Meaning things look good when they are making their shots, but when they arent they really dont bring much else to the table to affect the outcome of the game in our favor. Its time to trade Zach, Vooch, and let DeRozen walk to a contender or whomever wants to fork out premium money for an old man. I like DeRozen as a player but was actually sick of the ball hogging he was doing. During the play in game against Miami he was jacking up shots with triple teams like he didnt give a shit if they went down or not. This team as it is constructed has no dog in them nor fight. Its been obvious for three years now. Balls contract also needs to be gone and off the books. He hasnt played in over 2.5 years of competitive basketball and wasnt a huge scorer then, but his Defense and rebounding was good to great for a guard. We are paying a premium price for someone we don't know how they will come back to play. Plus he has been hurt every year he has been in the NBA like his little brother. We do have some decent to good players on the roster already who gives us hustle, defense, scoring and rebounding. We just need a whole new big 2 or 3 to add to the group. Vooch, DeRozen, and Zach are not it 💯!!! Our starting five +/- was ridiculous on how bad they were. Our bench had better +/- than our starters!!! Our bench had to come in to save the complacent starters from blowouts many games this season and last. Time for a change!!!

  • @franklinscarlett9698
    @franklinscarlett9698 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Again. Why go through a rebuild???? To me a big problem with this team is the bench. They need to build a better bench that can help and then do resign Drummond???? I like Drummond but the problem with him he does not spread out the offense. Now if they bring him back i can accept that however if they can find another center or a power forward that can spread out the offense that is really the center or power forward you need........Zach Levine. To me why trade for expiring contracts and guys you must take that is a rebuild. Look the Pistons trade was a joke because yes his contract off the books but the guys you getting back have no guarantee of being good in 3 to 5 years........need to focus on the draft , the scouting department to find new talent and again figuring out to build a better second team unit. It does not if its Zach, Coby, or Demarr if you have a bad second team your not going far. Lot of games they lost this including the last game to me was lost because they have a second team that just can not fill in like that. If it did more games could be won and make a big difference.......the other this how much influence is management having over this. To me a lot. If that is the case then that can be a problem.
