This is an amazing idea!! I think every nail tech should have this! To many times have I told what I waned, but the tech does what she thinks... I find alot of you nail techs on TH-cam and it’s disappointing, only because I don’t live in your area, and am unable to have you do my nails !! If can only imagine how you do real nails , I’m sure they’re just beautiful! When I was 14 I had my nails done for the first time. Every 2 weeks for the next 10+ years.. but at that time I did long curved nails with all colors. I stopped getting nails for awhile but now getting them done again. Now I want a more natural look, that no one can achieve. So I decided to learn to do my own. Watching the best nail tech channels, helps a lot!! Especially videos like yours! Thank you for sharing!! You’re very talented and did a great job with these “nail examples”
It would be this video from 9 years ago where I finally learned that the edge mail was the name of that shape! Thank you so much for sharing this video! It’s still doing it’s job!💕💅🏼
I love this idea. I'm also a nail tech and I get so many clients who don't truly know the shapes of nails that they want. This will help me keep everything in order, so thank you for this!
Love this video!!! Every nail tech should watch this video and use this when they have clients come in and ask them what shape they want their nails to be done. PURE GENIUS!!!
I am the Nails Educator at a Cosmetology School, and have my students do something very similar to this... we take nail tips and use acrylic to attach them to orangewood sticks...then I have them build up the acrylic on the tip and use their files to achieve the five basic nail shapes..the reason I do this is so they have a visual for their guests, but also so they can learn how to shape nails properly...I like the fact that you SCULPTED on dowels and I am going to add the dowels to go beyond the five basic shapes and have them sculpt the fun additional shapes...cute idea.. thanks!
This is a great idea for a nail salon display. And if you're a learner the dowels also seem like they'd be great for practice too. Off to get some dowels. Thanks! :)
***** I went to school to become a nail tech, but I quit, wasn't for me, tho I still love nails and love watching people creating them, just not do it myself :P
i love this idea...it's a great way to practice using the forms too...if you get a bunch of dowels you can practice using the foil forms....PLUS you can use both ends for 1 nail....pretty neat idea. thanks for sharing....
Thanks for sharing and I was trying to decide on what shape I wanted and didn’t realize how many different styles there were available. Enjoyed your video 👍🏻👍🏻💜✅
I'm not into doing my nails, so I don't actually know the process and I stumbled upon this, but the way you make the fake nail looks so elegant and easy! It looks really beautiful 😊
This is a great idea. Not only for clients, but it's fantastic to use as practice nails, to teach us elf how to build gel or acrylic nails. I might allow work out how to make a little stand to hold it for me as well. Thanks for the tip.
Loved this idea. I did mine and they turned out grea!!! I even did a sample for glitter nail and inlaid nail art. I'm going to do more! It was fun, thanks for posting!
Those are beautiful! You could totally set the standard for the shapes. I really want to try the Edge... Maybe not so long, but the style and shape is just amazing!
Like this idea, as a client these would give me a better idea than just a drawing on paper. A drawing can be interpreted so many different ways, this way the client knows the what outcome will be. Great video, thanks!!!
Great job. I love your smile line! You should do more shapes e.g. Russian stiletto etc.... Also I'm a student now and I love your smile line. I need a video of shaping different nails with tips. Obviously firms are easier... Love it. Thx!
when I go to a nail salon...I just show the person that's going to do my nails a picture of the type of nail I want from my phone....so they'll know what im talking about
I'll never look at a piece of doweling ever again. A good business video, not simply a nail video. This means there are no nail-bar fights afterwards ! o0o
I've just spent an afternoon watching a bunch of your videos and I love so many of them! This one is possibly my favorite because you show so many nail shapes in one video, some of which I didn't actually know were possible nail shapes! (I'm pretty new to false nails, just an enthusiast at this point) This actually prompted me to go looking for other nail shapes and I came across an image on Pinterest that had a "blade" nail displayed. I hate to bother you but I was wondering if you've ever gotten to work with that shape yourself and, if you have, how difficult it is in comparison to something like a stiletto or edge nail? Sadly I've only found one video on youtube showing how to do them, but it was lacking anything resembling instructions or advice on how to achieve the shape.
Murrfle It looks like the blade shape is sort of an exaggeration of the lipstick shape she shows. Just a little bit more swept inward on the tip shape. You could probably shape the form similarly to the lipstick or edge shape, and then change the tip shape to match what you want.
Thank you so much for sharing!!! You answered question I had and couldn't seem to find a video to answer it until now :) When You start to ship to Canada let me know.
what u call stiletto, it's a korean tip, stiletto its a kinda square long tip that in the end almost close, not complete, because it should looks like the high heels :) great video!! thanks.
I think every nail salon should do this. Anyone else agrees?
Yeah!
definitely

Love it!!! Very creative!!! I wish more salons would do this.
so true bcuz if clients are CONFUSED it wont waste time lol
Yh ou are
What a great way to present the different shape options. Well done!!
That's a great idea, I wish every nail salon has those nails as a example !!!✨👍
I don't wear nails, I don't do nails, but by some reason I found your video catchy and entertaining. Good job!
LENI1209 nice grammer Grandma
That looks reaal, really nice, kudos to you for giving credit to the person where you discovered the idea and your work is of great quality.
Wow, brilliant! And as new shapes come on the scene you just make a new stick. Very helpful!
This is a great idea for a nail salon display. And if you're a learner the dowels also seem like they'd be great for practice too. Off to get some dowels. Thanks! :)
I hate long nails, but I love watching your tutorials. They look so...easy.
Good luck to you, you're great.
Love it! But the powder to liquid ratio seem a bit off? Kinda runny...
I agree.
As long as she can make it sculpt I guess that's okay!!
*****
Sure she can do whatever she wants, but the liquid to powder ration is crucial when making perfect acrylic nails. There are rules..

This was helpful for the client too!! I would have thought I wanted stiletto but now I see oval is the one I like.
Thanks for sharing and I was trying to decide on what shape I wanted and didn’t realize how many different styles there were available. Enjoyed your video 👍🏻👍🏻💜✅

Idk why but I could listen to this video every day your voice calms me.

That lipstick one is cute never seen that before nice work
I know this is an older video, but I wanted to say it was very informative and you are very good at what you do!
This was a no brainer and was a great visual for us ladies to see the various nail styles.
Loved this idea. I did mine and they turned out grea!!! I even did a sample for glitter nail and inlaid nail art. I'm going to do more! It was fun, thanks for posting!
What a creative idea. You gave credit to where you got the idea from....classy. I loved this video.
Awesome. Finally a nail tech that gives a great tutorial. I'm subscribing. Great job.
i think this is my all time favourite nail vid ever! i love all of the nails!
very cool idea thanks for sharing yes i agree salons should offer these samples
Those are beautiful! You could totally set the standard for the shapes. I really want to try the Edge... Maybe not so long, but the style and shape is just amazing!
That is an AWESOME idea. You can use different size dowelling for practise too.
Is there any reason y U make ur white acrylic so much wetter than the pink?
Easier to shape into its shape.?.
Yah
She said that it makes it easier in the video
Lol
its probably to give her more time to shape it since I suppose it takes longer to dry
What a great idea. They look fantastic.
Her stilettos and oval nails look almost exact
You should also include the almond shape
I feel like her version of the oval was almond, but this was 4 years ago. She's changed it up now. 😊
I really loved this video! I used to think stileto was oval! But this video helped a lot!
This is the coolest idea I have ever seen!! Cheers!!
Great video! Love it! & yes can't forget the duck tip!
Like this idea, as a client these would give me a better idea than just a drawing on paper. A drawing can be interpreted so many different ways, this way the client knows the what outcome will be. Great video, thanks!!!
Very smart. Great idea for the artist and the customer. Hugs, Kiki
