- This bass had a rough life, but in general it was just worn and requires some proper maintenance.

I won't lie, I'm here for two things.
1) Seeing you taking a good care of instruments.
2) Seeing what's on your nails.
And I'm never disappointed.
Plus, Music Man instruments are one of my favorite. Really great brand.
I heard Ted Woodford mention you, it caught me by surprise how well known you are becoming ...well deserved
Yeah, saw that video. Ted is a well-respected man about town. Bonus points for the cultural reference.
I had found her before Ted mentioned her, but I was glad when he mentioned her if for nothing else, then to learn how to pronounce her name. 😅
You can really see the fender influence in these early Music Mans. Always very much enjoy your videos. You haven't been alive long enough to be as good as you are! Keep it up! Thank you as always!
I love watching crafts linked to music. I wish all bastards of the world were able to take a piece of peace that is in it and would stop dropping bombs on other humans. Great work Tanya! Hugs from Praha, Czech Republic❤
Now hang on. We are all here obviously to see your attention to detail, excellent craftswomanship and the occasional injury to your hands but we're also here to see what the heck is going to be on your fingernails ... 🧐
I thought I was the only one! I showed my wife and told her to get some 3d something on her nails 💅. But she’s in charcoal only phase.
Whats on her nails?
I was volunteering in Kyiv for a month, and just before I left the YT algorithm showed me your channel. And of course I was living just five minutes from your shop! I didn't have time to come by this time, but I will be back hopefully in the winter.
I have shared your channel with a bunch of musicians here, and we are all fast fans :)
Hopefully I will be back to say hello on my next round of volunteering. Don't change a thing! Your content is ACES!
Big hugs and Слава Україні!
This shop is in Kyiv? That's cool!
Perhaps revealing her location was not the greatest idea.
@@trinacria1956 It's on her website. They have a shop. If she prefers I remove this post I will do so, but from what I can see, it's no secret.
@@trinacria1956 Revealing her location? That's kind of an overreaction yeah? You make it sound like I just doxxed her...
She has a website and a patreon. It's there in plain sight. In Kyiv... Ukrainian flag... no shipments to Belarus or Russia... This is a working guitar repair shop in Kyiv. One of many repair places in the city- they have an incredible culture of repair and upkeep of goods. Something I dearly miss seeing here in the US.
If for some reason she asks me to take down or revise the post, I am happy to do it.
@@trinacria1956 It's pretty common knowledge that she's in Ukraine - especially when you tally up all the people who continually well-wish and pray for her safety.
Thanks for showing the method of grinding the saddle radius with the sandpaper on the fingerboard.
I really respect the time and effort you put into making a new nut, instead of taking the easier route of just ordering a replacement.
In a country in war times?
Often it's easier to make a new one from scratch than to make a premade one fit the instrument
@@micheloderso Sure. Just find someone who has friends in the corrupt government, and they can make it happen.
I recently bought a LVOV bass. It's from 1982 and the neck is warped to the treble side. Needs refretting too. Just the tiniest frets ever. Very narrow neck, but very chunky on the back. The neck by itself feels like a small baseball bat. It has a valute that creates the V shaped neck. Very different experience than what I'm used to.
I always enjoy watching you!😍 If I could afford it, I'd join your Patron.
I’ve given to Ukrainian aid. Tons of worthwhile people. You represent them well
Awesome job turned out fantastic. Hope you are staying safe there. 🇺🇦
Спасибо Таня, отличная работа!!! И не только поэтому, ведь из твоих видео можно многому научиться!
Всего самого доброго тебе, твоим родным и близким!!! Мирного неба над головой❤
There's some very nice grain on that fingerboard. You can tell that you're still getting new viewers, because they're still asking the old question!
You do good work. You kept the authenticity of the original but made it playable (and clean) again. Gail Ann Dorsey would play that. I like your fingernails!
Your attention to detail and craftsmanship are second to none.
Brilliant work.
I started repairing guitars about a year ago and I love your vids
An absolute Craftsmen!
Happy to see you Tanya! I worry about you. The last video you posted the sirens were going off.
Stay safe sweetheart.
These were some of the most underrated basses! Nice to see you keeping these old workhorses alive!
I'm listening to Mike Oldfield's "Songs of Distant Earth" while I watch this. Both are trippy.
Первый раз вижу стингрей с регулировкой анкера в голове, револьверная гайка в пятка этож их фишка... 😮
Great job, Tanya! I couldn't be happier to be a mega patron of such a talented luthier and a really great person! I hope you're doing great!😊
This gentleman on the workbench looks familiar. Many thanks for fixing the neck curve with the fretwork :)
Great job as always. These old basses are excellent quality and still show the Fender DNA, with the body design, the skunk strip on the neck and the somewhat triangular metal neck bolt plate. After all Leo Fender was involved in its design.
Really great work on this left hand bass. And this time also the nut was right (or left) notched 🙃 - love you and your work 🥰
21:20 WD-40 is to be used with gloves if daily use! You must try SHARK SHAKE Ultrasonic Cleaner (0.8L 2L 3L 4L 6L 10L 15L 22L 30L)
I like the natural look of the wood. That neck has some beautiful grain! And it's a lefty! Yay!
Hellz to the yeaaaaa... Tanya always give the bassists love and attention
Very nice and it is a lefty, that bass plucker is in there right mind🤪 I look forward to the next vid. Cheers 🤘
Time to relax and watch a pro at work.
Shout out, twoodfrd!
I miss your fancy fingernails :). awesome work on the stingray!
Bravissima hai fatto un lavoro Professionale
The "mirror frets" lady never disapoints! - Love the pink tape.😄👍🏻
Super robota, dbałość o szczegóły, detale 👌👍 Pozdrawiam
It looks great. Nice job. I love your Aubrey Plaza sticker too!
Holy cow even the bridge too, awesome again 🎉
Well done! A re-fret on a maple board can present many issues. You managed to pull the frets out cleanly, and the slots did not require anything more than a light sanding. I hope to see another episode soon. Glory to Ukraine!
I love watching you work. It's like therapy for guitar nerds! Plus, I learn stuff. Thanks from Pegleg Monty!
Great work as always! Also love your natural nails, you have beautiful hands
Great video as usual! Many thx fro Paul and Rodie (meow!) in Canada
Every time I watch one of your videos I learn something new about guitar setup work.
What a lovely TH-cam channel ❤️
You do wonderful work Tanya...................stay safe.
I love your work, I can see you solder frets all day

Lot's of DNA on that one.

Sweet bass!
Great job! (As always)
Thank you another great video. Nice work!!
Until next time! 👍👍
Great Job !
Yes!! I’ve been waiting for a new video 😊
Love those Basses, great job
When yer hammering the frets down, you always do two hits on each side before the final hits. I always hear "Take that, take that!" on those first hits. lol!
By far the best refret demonstration on the internet, with old school techniques. Bravo, I'm a subscriber. 🎉
Really nice work, so pleasant to watch you bring these back! Stay safe!
What a great project! Finished bass looks incredible! Good work!
I love your channel!
That's someone impersonating Tanya...I can tell from the nails.
70's mojo ACTIVATED. If it's not aged, it's not played 🤷♂. Perfect.
The date under the neck showed 1980, February.
Blessed Hands that moves the Earth🤘🏼
It's great to see you working on those imstruments.❤
Nice work, I really like your nails this time. Hope you are doing good.
Neat! This was almost routine, no big repairs here 😁
I asolutely love all of your videos. Thank you!
So perfect..thank you for the great video
Another beautiful job, Tanya! I didn't even notice it was a lefty until you put the new strings on!
These frets came out shiny.
Loud in the background ! But despite all this, it doesn’t stop you from working Respekt and love =)
Nice job, Tanya. I really enjoy watching you bring older instruments back to their former glory🤘
Keep it up, Tanya. Love your videos ❤.
Hello again Tanya! Love the video. Always a pleasure to watch your skill in action. Take care 😊
My Hero !🙂
Wow, It explained the work of art.I wish if you live in india, I would take workshop classes from you.Great job🤟🏻
Wow! Almost 200K subs!! That's impressive. I bet it happens before summer!! All the best to you, Tanya. And lovely work as always!!
Good job Tanya👍😉
Good job!
Oh!😮 Simple mails today.😁
Mesmerizing ❤
nice work👋
That bass look almost new.
P.S.: Nice ring, best wishes to you. 😁✌🖖
Yay!! This is the kind of bass i play, so im interested in seeing the set up of it
Edit: mine is much newer, so there have some notable differences. I have 3 screws in the neck plate thing, the truss rod is adjusted at the body on mine, and i also have the one with a jatoba fretboard. Also i play the “sterling model, so its cheaper
Cool man, cool...
Music Man spends a day at the Tanya Spa
I’d love to hear the finished instrument some time! Do you play? Or just repairs only?
I was sure this fretboard was wet the gloss was so intense.
tanya is love
Nice job
I would have made multiple mistakes on a left handed instrument
Las Vegas needs a good luthier!!!
i have 2 of my 11 guitars that need reffretting i might doing it myself
Que buen trabajo y está muy bien ese bajo no lo venderán?
Reminds me of my old 1978 Stingray but mine was right handed & in worse condition than that one. Miss that bass now. Preamp became noisy. The are covered with epoxy. So they couldn't be copied or repaired.
Probably you have already answered before, but how did you learn to do this repairs? Keep up the awesome work!
