Incredible ! Thank you to bring us in that "private magic space" full of creative, hand skills and Art. Those long "stories" in wood are just marvels. 👍👍👍
I am from the US, I have lived in Zhuhai for 10 years, my wife has lived here for 18 years. Neither of us has ever heard about this place. It's such a shame it's not open to the public. I am a woodworker as well. I will share with my friends here and see they have heard of this place.
This is just amazing! I am into wood working also and never would I have imagined there could be anything as such, just mind blown!..And the ebony, didn't know there existed anything that big!
Interesting tour, thank you. If you would like to see bigger and even more impressive examples, i recommend that wholesale carving markets in Guilin, where a lot of these pieces came from. For root sculptures, The town of Anji has a lot of these. Maybe you have seen it in the movie Crouching Tiger hidden Dragon?
Thats the most impressed i think i have ever been by someones artistic skill, craftmansship and work, absolutely incredible, this collection is in my opinion another wonder of the world!
Too bad that man is not to trusted to be close to such beautiful works of art. Just look at how the general population takes care of the basic things we are gifted on this planet and we as a people have abused the privilege to sustain for future generations. Many would look upon these magnificent works and ask what are these worth, not realizing that they are indeed priceless.
Seems to me like he has just continuously giving work to the woodworkers as a sigh of appreciation, since his father was a carpenter. Maybe he saw it was a hate job with not much work, and he kept these guys continuously employed ever since he came into money!
Where they trying to sell you some of these? I heard several numbers like 2.2. Million. Also the laugh of the "guide" sounded nervous & fake like a sales persons.
Every time I see this, my mind is blown all over again..... Just crazy how much work went into this, and the value of these pieces.
It is amazing that the craftsmen/artists could look at a tree trunk and visualise all that they wanted to carve out of it. Absolutely beautiful work.
I feel the same. Thanks

A true artist These treasure's should be shared with the world.
As amazing as these stunning pieces of art are, I think I'm just as impressed with how they managed to move such massive pieces without damaging them.
One is left with a joyful heart when seeing the creative capacity of man, Great China and its colossal art.
