@@HaYNFishKeeper i have a 20 gallon tank in my living room and that would be nice. I also have a 150 in my basement that is yet to be set up. I wouldn't mind having a zen area in it. I'll look you up on Instagram tomorrow. Perhaps you can give me tips and pointers on setting it up--- filter type, etc. By the way, I'm not new to fish keeping, but it had taken a back seat for many years. Way in the back lol. After this crisis hit, and I found myself at home with more time on my hands, i cleaned up my tank and renewed my interest.

I am experimenting with using one of those 'bottom filtration grates' only flipping it upside down to serve as a barrier for the sand trap. I was a little skeptical at first about the vents on the grates causing issues with the sand not flowing to the pvc properly (we'll see what happens)

Very impressive, nice job can I give you a little tip her breathing the Bacardi fish, add a nice piece of bogwood and rinse it well, if not it will turn your tank and amber color but the fish actually like it. You'll have a better chance cat breeding oh, I was pretty successful with that and also bread frontosas back when I did freshwater oh, good luck excellent job with the waterfall!!

Question... Is that white coral substrate ok for fresh water fish came across your video wanted to make a sand water fall for my fish which is a Betta fish. If not Is there brand you recommend?
I used crushed coral substrate because African cichlids prefer a higher PH and they thrive in it, as far as a beta goes I wouldn’t use it I’d use pool filter sand 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Im attempting to build one of these. So you cover the bottom of the pvc pipe (where you cut the notch) with the sand? Is that to start to flow of the sand being sucked up?
Yes I may have to play with it a bit like I said be really patient you just wanna make sure you get the right flow of sand going up inside the pvc pipe and it falling back down evenly 🤙🏽🤙🏽

No it provides aeration too no need for another one unless you want too

Thanks! Wow quick response! That’s what I have to. Gonna try to make the intake on the bottom a little bigger and see if that’s my problem. It just doesn’t want to suck up my sand and when I put to much near the opening it clogs.
