Here is the bottom line, shut up, you lying, censorship heavy, hypocritical, and elitist modern day Pharisees! I'll give it a listen, thanks for the comment. I have been watching puppy and cat and dog videos in order to get away from the always negative news stories. It is quite amusing, they get millions of views. I do like a good murder story, though, as long as it is not somehow mysteriously linked to my becoming either a victim or suspect.

I get so tired of listening to only one chapter of a book and then deleting it from my Overdrive app because of language and ideas and contemporary gratuitous references to certain trends as if everyone subscribes to them.
I would suggest sticking to Christian books if you want the books to have Christian themes. Mainstream tends to not follow religious beliefs, whether Christian or that of other religions. Genres exist for a reason. I wouldn't go to general mainstream books and then complain that they don't contain aliens. I'd go to Sci-Fi/supernatural books for that.

I think especially in detective fiction one runs into so many jaded, "hard boiled" detectives that don't believe in anything at all except human depravity that it's nice to see one buck the trend.
I had recently gone on a Carnival cruise and I didn't want to break that "magical holiday spell." And when I discovered this pleasant Murder Mystery book set on a cruise ship, it was the perfect mind trip I needed!

As the book started I thought it may be one of those "helps sleep" books for before bed but turns out very well written and after first 10 minutes or so slow start (necessary to set scene etc) keeps a good pace right through to end.
I needed to find some new mysteries audiobooks to listen to, and these sound like they may be a good fit. Reviewing the comments looks like it's going to be a great choice, plus I love the publishing name. Never met a Dawn I didn't like.

I think those not from the US have difficulty distinguishing the regional US accents. My Dad's European friends always thought he was from Texas (he's from CA). I think we from the US have a similar difficulty distinguishing accents of British English, except for super obvious ones.

I agree completely! Rachel is a strong woman who sticks to her principles, which makes her someone to admire.
