- What’s your definition of ‘’Legacy’’?
Mine is the possibility of creating a bridge between time and generations. Architecture over the years has giving me the possibility to develop this inner talent.
Some people may think that it is only a building project or a refurbishment, others may believe that the property belongs to them; not me.
Buildings have housed people, dreams and aspirations, they have listened and watched all the different stages of their lives and will continue to do that through the many transformations.
My responsibility is to keep the essence of all the different stages and moments that the building has gone through and build a bridge or Legacy that will catapult the space into today’s world.
The building that I mention in this video at 43 Denmark Hill, London, was built to be a bakery and then became an art shop and with me an art gallery. In the refurbishment process, which until now it’s still my biggest challenge, I brought back to life all the elements connecting the different stages of the people that inhabited this building.
With this series, I would like to bring to you, my most inner vision and emotions and how I create possibilities.
What a dream building. The tall windows and the volume of the rooms. Very much looking forward to visit the region and hopefully find our dream town and building. Thank you for sharing. We like the attention and respect you have for the history.

Ciao Davide...I’ve just subscribed - I found your channel from your interview with @DauvO’s channel and decided to have a look since I love the apuglia area. As soon as you walked inside this Palazzo, I just knew why you got hooked by it. The building’s charm and character comes through the video! This wonderful “lady” seems to have tried very hard to remain beautiful over the years and I’m sure she we be returned to her full potential under your direction. I will be looking forward to seeing what you do with the building.

Wonderful, love the story, specially the part about Camberwell, where I was born and brought up, my sister still lives there.
I absolutely love Camberwell!! When I first arrived in the uk I lived on Camberwell Road, above a laundrette, and 12 years later I bought the building on the corner… Small world!!
@@salentowithlove3314 that’s great, the world is definitely smaller than we think.
I lived at one point on Benhill road, those flats have been knocked down and look completely different with brand new apartments. I remember my mum knocking out the balcony and making it apart of the living room. I also lived in my teenage years on Grove Lane right next to Denmark hill train station.

What a find truly amazing... I visited this piece of history with Davide when I went to Salento late last year. Gripping heart renching originality, maybe it brought back memories for me ,with the things I saw and experienced there, because my dad was of the same era.
Hopefully Davide will share those gems with you too.
I’m going to gradually revel the magic of this building and the very precious contents. We are planning an opening weekend around the middle of December. Bringing back, probably one last time the magic of an era!
