When I say "wrong name", "Brak" is actually just a mistranslation of "Black" as L and R can get easily mixed up when translating from japanese. However, I consider "Brak" to be the correct name in the context of SRB2, as it has always been referred to as "Brak" up to this point, and I'm sure many people to this day still continue to refer to it as such.
From my end, I didn't reference that track. Think more Racer X/Paul Gilbert stuff, but that's definitely a sick song! I love the Generations rendition.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Fang end up falling into the core of the massive fortress, as Eggman comes for them with his giant Black Eggman robot, armed with many weapons to get rid of our heroes. And even worse, there's no way to immediately damage the robot with its electrical barrier around it. Thankfully, acid pours through pipes into the ground. It will take 12 big hits to finish this machine of destruction and cause the Egg Rock's destruction. Hopefully, you've got all 7 Chaos Emeralds to aid you in the final push against the evil doctor. Can you defeat Eggman and save the Black Rock and Mobius from destruction?
Easy emblems: Time: Play Sonic, thok into Brak. Or just spindash on top of him. Score: Same thing, but hide from all attacks using the boxes (not just for the hitscan missile)
I mean, way back in like 2003, he was originally going to be the boss of Dark City Zone, which would have been an homage to the Land of Darkness from the OVA, and the boss fight in 2.0 even had you riding his missiles and directing them back at him like in the OVA.

I absolutely love this track; the OST for this game was great before and it's even better now. I feel like this fight should evoke more senses of dread and stress. For how hard this song goes I really want Eggman's lifebar to be 5 times as big with 2 pinch modes. I want to FEEL the anxiety of fighting a scary threat like Eggman in the heart of his creations. Perhaps running through tunnels around Egg Rock that are breaking apart due to Sonic's friends' assault and you having all the Chaos Emeralds. I want the fight to match the song in intensity, because holy lord this track is nothing like any other Eggman fight song IMO. The boss is fun but I argue he's easier than fighting Metal twice prior to him. Heck, he's easier than half the game! Sometimes I fight him with only two hits per shield down; that way the song lasts long enough. Kinda like how I used to fight PSO2 bosses with very underpowered weapons just to allow the theme song to fully play.
Honestly? In 2.3, I don't mind if STJ, and this is just a "what if" scenario right now, move Black Eggman to Dark City Zone. on the one condition they keep or improve on this theme, its too good guys.

Zone builder hasn't been updated since 2.1. The 2.2 option is an addon for the 2.1 ver of Zone Builder. The wiki also still calls him Brak though, so who knows.

Brak Eggman's Current Form Has Unused Sprites For Jumping, As Well As Projectiles Of Oil Spheres, Sand (Which The Game Calls Goop?), And Rockets Planned For Dark City. All Of Those Sprites Are Used By The Older Version Of Brak Eggman. Just Like The Dark City Theme, The Old Egg Brak Can Be Re-Implemented With Zone Builder.

I think there could have been more potential for the final boss, when i beat it i thought there was going to be another phase but it just exploded, you go down an elevator and that's srb2. It just didn't feel like "the final blow"
That's because brak eggman is a placeholder for the final boss. He is supposed to appear in dark city zone but that level is yet to be made. The real final boss is most likely still in the making

Brak Eggman's Current Form Has Unused Sprites For Jumping, As Well As Projectiles Of Oil Spheres, Sand (Which The Game Calls Goop?), And Rockets Planned For Dark City. All Of Those Sprites Are Used By The Older Version Of Brak Eggman. Just Like The Dark City Theme, The Old Egg Brak Can Be Re-Implemented With Zone Builder.

I think there could have been more potential for the final boss, when i beat it i thought there was going to be another phase but it just exploded, you go down an elevator and that's srb2. It just didn't feel like "the final blow"
That's because brak eggman is a placeholder for the final boss. He is supposed to appear in dark city zone but that level is yet to be made. The real final boss is most likely still in the making

I remember the 2.0-2.1 boss fight when it was such a pain in the butt to beat without tails and cheats and when he was called metal robotnik like in the ova. Good times

When i beat egg rock for the first time, I was ready for hard, really hard final boss.
I was disappointed.
