I have 4400 miles on my Transalp now, mainly pavement. The engine seems to get stronger and smoother after break-in. I went with the Honda crash bars & skid plate, these look good and seem sturdy. The Honda heated hand grips work great. Agree with you on the Barkbusters, these are much better than Honda's. Very impressed with the Transalp so far, it's such a great value.
Just did the 600 mile oil change. Really like the bike so far. Finding aftermarket parts are not available but i did find a skid plate and centerstand over seas. Really wanted the t rex brand stuff but its all out if stock.
Swapped my OEM tires for Dunlop Trailmax Raid tires. They're outstanding. Feels like a street tire on the road (even in heavy rain) and has grip for days in the dirt as well.
This may sound weird but I own the 2024 Transalp XL750R, 2023 890 Adventure and Tuareg 660, 2022 KTM 500EXC-F and the 2022 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, and here comes the drum roll, my favorite bike is in this order: number 1 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, number 2 Honda Transalp XL750R as a daily rider, number 3 KTM 890 Adventure and it has the best off road TracTive suspension money can buy, then number 4 the Tuareg 660, finally in 5th place 2022 KTM 500EXC-F SixDays. Why you ask in this order well everything is underwhelming after riding the 1290 SAR with it's power that is so addicting, then on the other hand is the Honda Transalp XL750 is great off road now that I have the TracTive suspension setup on it and the Transalp is also such a good touring bike and has a great gearbox ratio setup that nothing can compare especially on the road where the engine just purrs along at highway speeds kind of like the 1290 SAR, and everyone knows that owning a Tuareg 660 it is great off road but is wallowy on the road and is begging for a taller 6th gear that tingles your feet off the pegs but gearing is great off road only, and the 500EXC-F it's just a dirt bike that I got a license plate to go from one green lane to the gas station to get to the other green lane, my 890 Adventure is a hoot to ride and the best on the twisty roads and it has great power but the engine is far from being smooth, it is smoother than the 500EXC-F for sure, but all the other bikes have a smoother engine from just plunking along on the trails to cruising at faster speeds. So it would be nice if Transalp turned into a Transalp 900cc with the same weight and agility as the Transalp XL750 hmmm.🤔
I just got one in January. It was the only one they had in the store. I live near Buffalo New York so I haven't got to ride it much. But when I did this thing seems awesome.
Add an Aussie ECU...mine absolutely rips past 4000rpm. I've also done a 600mile + day without the seat chewing my arse. With over 6000klms on mine now, I get a minimum of 400klms per tank even when revving it's nuts off. Temu have barkbuster style handgaurds which are very cheap...$33 Australian... which is about $20 USD. They mount up easily and look to be as strong as any barkbusters I've had on my many enduro bikes previously. If you don't want to wait for the OEM heated grips, Whites do a 120mm heated grip set with the control buttons integrated into the LH grip. They look almost OEM and are half the price. Complaints? The rear shock isn't brilliant. A re spring and re valve is on my to do list. The forks are okay once you have adjusted the pre load and set the sag. Check spoke tension and front wheel true. Mine had loose spokes from new. 3.7nm is the torque specs for those. 👍
Nice video 👍🏼 I have a 2022 T7 and plan on keeping it for another 5 years, at least, but it’s always fun trying to figure out what my next bike will be 😁
I’ve just bought a used 23 transalp here in the uk . Only 1000 miles on the clock it has very similar panniers to yours heated grips a taller screen and various other goodies all included in the deal I paid £2000 less than a new one . I absolutely love this bike I’ve owned a cb500x a crfl1000 and this bike is way better. I’ve just added a black widow end can £119 and it’s changed the sound of the bike . I can’t fault it at all I imagine I will keep this one for a long time. I wanted a white one but ended up with a black one simply because it came up for sale privately and the price was just too good to turn down . Now I’ve had the black one a while I actually prefer it to the white. Most people who bought one in the uk went with the white so I’m kind of pleased I got black . If only they had offered the black with the gold rims that would look awesome.
Tusk 2track tires. I noticed that sometimes when downshifting with the quick shifter it doesn’t do all the way down. I changed it from soft to hard and no longer have the issue.
I just got to 600 KM on mine and I haven't noticed anything like that with the quick shifter. That said I don't use the quick shifter most of the time. This is my first bike with one so just getting used to it. I have pre-ordered the Veridian cruise control. I wasn't really interested in cruise control but it was cheap enough and the company is in the same city I live in so I thought I might as well
I had 2wheel dynoworks re flash my ECU and now its really smooth and has way more torque all through the power range.Check them out,it has totally changed the fun factor on my bike, absolutely love it.
Just recently got all of my shipments for OEM crash bars engine guard and got them installed had to order them from a dealership in California my local dealership still has not gotten them what a joke !what a joke I'm really shocked that Honda doesn't offer them in Black I remember you had a video a while back about getting yours powder coated man they sure look sharp mine are really sticking out with the silver color and I ordered some Chad 4p side case racks which came in lovely black powder coating and clash with the silver bars in the front hey anyone else out there thinking about sporting a set of Shad 4p racks and a Yoshimura exhaust they don't fit together at least as of yet sad to hear your SC products exhaust conflicted with your racks also evidently they are still learning a lot about working together with some of these aftermarket parts for this bike since everyone's just trying to get something out there.. just wanted to say how good your powder coated crash bars look I called a local place and their oven is backed up for the foreseeable future with some undisclosed government type work yikes I couldn't even get a quote on how much it would be looking for a ballpark figure what did you pay for yours and were they able to powder coat the skid plate as well or did you paint it I wasn't sure how well the powder coating would stick to the aluminum skid plate but yours looks like it turned out really well check out Kyle Bradshaw for his new mitas tires he's talking about they could be a pretty good option for the trans alp of they have the right size and haven't checked them out yet but they look pretty sweet👍🏻
Hey TT, I want to buy a Transalp, but I’m not sure if it will be comfortable on long trips. I love my 2013 bmw rt but it’s gets heavy as my daily rider. I’m looking for a lighter 2nd bike or a replacement bike. When are you going to Biloxi? I don’t live far from there and I’m wondering if you’d be willing to swap bikes for a ride? My bike is a blast through the twisties. :)
@anthonyrivers454 backpressure will only cause a loss in power, any restriction in the pipe is bad for power. Exhaust scavenging is different, and relies on the header design rather than an exhaust baffle
I have my transalp and got 1500km on it. I love the bike, but definitely need a bigger wind screen. Coming today. And a handle bar extension as I am 6ft 2 and feel my bike after some time. That is coming today as well. So I hope that will complete my experience. Otherwise I am thinking about upgrading to africa twin if the back issue is not sorted. In the long run I might do it anyway as I might need a bigger bike... I wasn't riding for a decade and the transalp perfectly helped me to get back into riding. All in all it's a great bike! Still need to install the lower crash bars which are in my garage. Enjoy riding folks
Quick shifter works fine but I feel like you need to actuate it at a certain shift point/shift band otherwise it won’t be smooth or go in at all. As far as the get up, bike wakes up after 4K. Remember it’s the Hornet 750 sport bike engine Glad you’re loving the bike! Same here. Great review

Do you have any vibration issues around 4,000 rpm?
@@zach_6297 there is more vibration and engine noise about 3500 rpm, seems normal and smooths out at 4K and above.
Tubed tyres is the only problem with this bike. I heard Africa twin’s tyres are a direct fit but that’s another $1500

how did removing the spark arrestor change the exhaust sound? did anything melt? i'm considering it, prob will wait till my warranty expires tho.
