Kamelot was opening for Nightwish in the US in 2012 when Anette had issues and couldn’t perform in Denver. Alisa and Elize were the singers that filled in for that Denver show at last minute. Then Floor joined a couple of days later. SueSue, don’t hurt anybody, and don’t throw any keyboards in the street.
@@SueSueandthewolfman that concert has been named "The Denver Debacle" and the girls did surprisingly good, filling in for Anette, when she had to be taken to the hospital - Anette was not happy in the least with the replacements as she expected Tuomas to simply cancel the gig - Anette performed the very next Nightwish show and then Floor got on a jet - the rest is question (Elize actually auditioned for Nightwish at the time they hired Anette but Tuomas passed her by since, at the time, she did not have that much stage experience) Elize's tape was of her singing Nemo which I have included a video here-- th-cam.com/video/Mi9BtooY3Ko/w-d-xo.html
Kamelot was supporting NW. In 2012 in the USA.. The last show of that tour Kamelot came out for Last Ride and helped close the show. There is a fan Cam out there of it that's pretty good.
You've seen Kamelot lead singer , Tommy Karevik, with Ayreon. The Day that the World Breaks Down , Eye of Ra, and Everybody Dies. Glad you got to his one of his bands (Seventh Wonder is his other). And keyboardist Oliver Palotai is the husband of Simone from EPICA. Tommy is married to Kobra Paige, lead singer of Calgary based rock band, Kobra and the Lotus. You've also seen Elize with her band Amaranthe. This is your first time seeing Alissa White-Gluz, she is from Montreal and is lead vocalist for the Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy, and former vocalist for The Agonist. She is known for her harsh vocals , but does have an awesome clean voice too. If you want to see more of Alissa, try a mixed clean/ harsh song first. Either 'Handshake With Hell' by Arch Enemy, or 'The Wolf You Feed' by former Alice Cooper Guitarist Nita Strauss with Alissa.
Finally Kamelot! Kamelot is frequently recommended because they tend to be enjoyed by Nightwish fans. Went back to check and I recommended Kamelot in a comment 8 months ago 😂 And I still do, the entire concert "One Cold Winter's Night" is Kamelot's Wacken 2013, one of the best concert DVDs ever (with the original singer Roy Khan and a guest you might recognize). The rest of this one with Tommy is also a top notch live recording, I Am The Empire. Check out Tommy's duet with Charlotte Wessels, then fall down her rabbit hole as well!
Kamelot is an American band, but their style is closer to the European style symphonic and power metal bands. Tha majority of the current band members are actually European and I think they are better known in Europe than in their home country. Kamelot had different male singers in their history, the most iconic being Roy Khan and the current one Tommy Karevik. Kamelot regularly uses female guest singers on some of their songs and many famous singers have performed with Kamelot, like simone Simons, Floor Jansen, Alyssa and Elize, Lauren Hart .... As far as I know, Melissa Bonny is currently tourning with Kamelot. The best Kamelot live videos are from 2 concerts filmed for DVD, one in Norway with Roy Khan and and in Tillburg (Netherlands) from which the current video is.
Tommy is amazing singer and he replaced an equally amazing singer by the name of Roy Khan - here is a real treat for you from earlier Kamelot - their epic Elizabeth Parts 1, 2 & 3) professionally filmed live on stage - Oliver on the keys in this one also th-cam.com/video/ecvHBLadaxM/w-d-xo.html
The two girls are the ones that filled in for Anette when it was likely Nightwish would have to cancel their concert back in 2012, as shown in documentary Learn the Set List in 48 hours, which you have watched. ❤️🤘🎸🎻🇦🇺
Great reaction! Kamelot is actually an American band founded by the lead guitarist in Tampa Bay but their style is much more European/symphonic metal style. Tommy is amazing singer as was their previous singer Roy Khan. They use a lot of female guest singers. My current favorite by them is Under Grey Skies with Charlotte Wessels (ex Delain), th-cam.com/video/e4b1SkQfgUA/w-d-xo.html. Also love their music video for Liar, Liar which also had Alissa again singing both harsh and clean vocals. They have a new album coming out and they have been dropping new videos. Alissa is the lead singer for Arch Enemy, an awesome Swedish Melodic Death Metal band. She mostly sings with harsh vocals but she uses both clean and harsh voclas in Handshake with Hell, th-cam.com/video/dsuhfOD7emE/w-d-xo.html. Also love The Eagle Flies Alone th-cam.com/video/mjF1rmSV1dM/w-d-xo.html. But my absolute favorite with Alissa is her collaboration with Powerwolf on their remake of Demons are a Girls Best Friend, th-cam.com/video/lDZ7p7WAG2o/w-d-xo.html. Wolfman will enjoy it because church organ keyboards are big part of the music. She also did a great collaboration with Nita Strauss, The Wolf you Feed which also features both her harsh and clean vocals and Nita's amazing guitar work.
Singer also still sings with his original Swedish band, Seventh Wonder. They released a new single 'The Light' last year. You should do a reaction to that as well.
I recommended them - probably more than once - but I won't hold it against you Sue!😆 😂 You've always got a lot on your plate. They're very good though eh! Check out the official video too. Alyssa and Elize are part of the Nightwish story in that when Annette left during the American tour - you'll remember 2 singers that helped Nightwish put on a show instead of cancelling the gig. I think Kamelot were supporting Nightwish and they were guest singers for Kamelot at that time. Kamelot have recently been touring in South America and they have Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum's singer) who is singing Elize's and Alyssa's part in Sacrimony - growling and clean singing. I saw Elize for Amaranthe and Melissa Bonny from Ad Infinitum on the Same night a few months ago along with a German Symphonic Metal band called 'Beyond the Black' (you covered one of their songs) but I'd love to see more as Floor has given her seal of approval re Jennifer Haben and the band - they really are very good and not many reactors bother to cover them! As always, God bless you both 🙏 David Kamelot with Allysa 'Liar Liar' official video th-cam.com/video/VDLZ6Mqy7AM/w-d-xo.html Beyond the Black 'Hallelujah' live in Japan Beyond the Black 'Is there anybody out there' official video th-cam.com/video/_PjhX07dsIg/w-d-xo.html

The Nightwish Rescue Ladies .....
"Please DO IT" - Like this post to show them, we want that fan video reaction on their channel.
Nice reaction 🇸🇪...

It seems like most great singers in Sweden are named Tommy 🤣

The keyboard player is the husband of Simone Simons!

The keyboard player is married to Simone - lead singer of Epica.
Their new single, Opus of the Night, is fantastic. I highly recommend that one!

Tommy could have pronounced Elize:s name correctly in Swedish...since he himself is Swdish....but he choose to do the "english version" of it ;)
