When Cal gets captured by the bounty hunter brood on Zeffo and he's in prison there's an alien guy in a cell. If you walk up to him you can talk to him. He talks in a star wars language for a good amount of time with Cal pitching in to say things like asking if he can help him or not and then when the guy is done you can't do anything to help him escape. I wish Bombtastic would translate his words so we can see what he's trying to say... I wonder if subtitles would have helped

It’s not a conversation during flight but at one point I went up to Greze and he said something along the lines of ‘ you know after all this is done I know a great place we can go it’s a castle on takodana,’ and I thought that was really cool and not easy to spot.

"Laser swords" are also acceptable in the star wars universe. Anakin calls them that in Phantom Menace to Qui Gon and he doesn't correct him. It's also said in clone wars numerous times.

A saber is a sword that's only sharp on one side and blunt in the other. Something that doesn't fit the description of a lightsaber very well.

Don’t know if the planet matters but I landed on Dathomir once after completing the game and went to talk to Cere who was on the couch. Her and Cal got talking about Merrin and her magic. It was interesting to hear that Cal said he wanted to learn it. After that he also said he would like to learn how to play that instrument we see him play in the beginning of the game.

Former President William Howard Taft You know I’ve always wondered that...I mean we don’t see Malicos use the magic that Merrin was supposedly to teach him. Does that mean she never taught him or do humans adjust differently? Lol I gotta read up on that now. But Nightsister magic does have elements of the dark side. It’d be pretty cool if in the next game Cal and Merrin taught each other a couple tricks. That would definitely make for one cool Jedi and a very interesting Nightsister.

If you wait a little while before distarcting the drivers of the AT-AT on kashyyyk, you hear one of them mentioning they went on a vacation on the planet once.
Yeah, there's conversations between the Stormtroopers like that all throughout the game. My favorite one was a Scout Trooper Commander telling his subordinate that he needed to sleep more so he wouldn't be endangering both of their lives.
@@carterholcomb1072 Another good one is when a Stormtrooper questions if honor is all that important and after the commander admonishes him and asks what could be more important the trooper just says "Living".
Honestly I think that the conversations between the stormtroopers are the best part of the game

Grievous really had a thing for killing Night sisters. He killed the old Night sister on Dathomir and in the comics he killed Mother Thalzen infront of Maul (Mother Thalzen is Mauls mother). He also wiped out almost all off the night sisters. He did get beaten by Ventress. The one that got away if you know what I mean.
I think the reason why Greez would know Yaddle more than Yoda (my theory) is that at some point Yaddle undertook a mission to Lateron (his homeworld), so the locals would be more familiar with Yaddle than Yoda.

Always loved how the nightsisters way of using the force made clear that the sith and jedi dark-side-bright-side-thing is just an interpretation of a phenomenon no one really understands. Maybe there is a distinction between the bright side of the force and the Darkside, maybe there isn't. At their core, jedi and sith are just two more cultures with force based religions.
Greez is now the reason for the quick lightspeed jumping in the rise of Skywalker, and you can't change my mind.

Laser sword is the original name for lightsaber. Lucas always called them that in early drafts of the story. And hey, it's his universe, he can call them whatever he likes :D

It definitely has that ring to it. The way she focuses on "together". The Nightsisters were an all female group to begin with, so I assume this is more common among them.

One of the rare voicelines is between
Cal, The Ninth Sister and Jaro Tapal. It can only be found in the battle meditation when you fight both of them. It goes something like this:
Ninth sister: "Who shall I kill first?! The jedi or the Lasat! "
Jaro Tapal is a Lasat.
I think she said "Latero", which is Greez' species, so she probably meant him
I heard it once and I looked it up, so I think it’s Greez’s species for some reason.
I'm pretty sure I've heart that voiceline in the regular game, but she says "The Jedi or the Latero?"
One thing people tend to forget. Even at their peak numbers Jedi counted for less then 1% of 1%of the galactic population. Thats so few to try and cover so many.
Just like 1% of people in the US loves you, that 1% is a lot more than you think.

There was a dialogue I had about the bogling, it was Greez saying he was finding hair around the ship
I found one talking about cooking the thing in the vents..
After a while of me playing the game, the same weird talking thing happened to me. Complete silence when travelling. I eventually just gave up on trying to fix it and accepted my fate (until I made a new save when the new content came out, that is)

2:05 lol I got this conversation while doing the history, a bit of time after I picked up Merrin. Same for the conversation right after with Greez
Greeze will talk about after it is all over that he will consider possibly falling in love with someone. Cere then asks him about it and he will say that love requires something along the lines of "Attraction, Admiration, Devotion, and Respect" which is actually a reference to Titanfall 2, where the player's titan finds an advanced weapon, and explains love in the exact same way, concluding that the it is 50% in love.
There’s actually a conversation during Cal’s flashbacks when you fail and Topal jokes about replacing Cal.

I remember another one where Greaz talks about his missing spoon which I believe was taken by the bogling.
After the First Second Sister fight or the Ninth Sister fight, Cere and Cal talk about dramatic stuff during dinner, but Greeze is just pouring a ton of salt on his dish. Anyone that takes his cooking academy will die of a heart attack on their first lesson.
I’ve triggered a line from Greez mentioning he wants to take the crew to his home planet and show them around, hoping that Jedi Survivor has his planet on it
The E C O 2 sign could be "Echo" as in the empire discovered echo was still alive after being imprisoned by the C I S and tried taking him from the bad batch to make Clone's of him so they can counter the Rebel's.

Easter egg: The fact that Cere says that the Jedi 'have worse things to fear than death' kinda is a reference to what the Grand Inquisitor says moments before he lets himself fall in the explosion that killed him during the Season 1 finale of Star Wars Rebels.

@@esteryrose We dont know how young though. Assuming she is around Cal's age she was already a teen during The Clone Wars. The massacre of the Nightsisters by Grievous happened towards the back end of it too. I don't think it's a stretch for a teenage girl in an all female clan to have aspirations of having a relationship with another girl.
That being said, why immediately make Cal a love interest for her? Can't they be just friends, like everyone else here wants to portray that situation with Illyana? Just because a boy and a girl around the same age share screen time doesnt mean they gotta fall in love. Cal's a Jedi anyway, so he knows not to form romantic attachments.

Cere does say she doesn't want to use any Force related powers ever again when Cal asks her about Nightsister magick (of course she does so anyway during the final mission).
It would be cool if the bogling slowly builds a nest under the area with the meditation point and workbench

It’s kinda weird that the Jedi went to planet to planet taking children who were force sensitive to basically training them to become solders in the war with the spreteast gives a feeling of practically kidnapping but going it in a good way that’s not so Evil
1) jedi were not trained to be soldiers. They ended up fighting but they werent trained to, and they could just... choose not to if they decided.
2) They were not kidnapped. They were brought into the order willingly, and could just turn around and leave whenever they wanted without any resistance. we know this cause several jedi did just that; ahsoka tano, count dooku, etc. I'm sure if the parents of the prospective padawan resisted the jedi would leave them. They gave them over ot the jedi because it was considered an honor, plus the jedi had relatively good lives at least before the clone wars. Alot of jedi spent all their time just in quiet meditation or as diplomats, and while they may not have had super luxuriant lives, their accommodations were still pretty good compared to alot of what we see in the star wars galaxy.
I think its so funny, that Greet makes a joke about losing his arm and the actually losing it between Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor.
The conversations on the mantis actually have a limit. And once you reach that limit you can't here them ever again
Unless you have a journey+ save file and do the meditation training in the journey+ file. And your game file that has no more conversations on the mantis has to be 100%.
I think it's how thst works anyhow.
If we get JFO2 pls resurrect Grevious and make him the boss

Grievous being resurrected at ANY time during the timeline would completely change everything because
1. Grievous would most likely reactivate the droid army
2. even him as a individual soldier would be very dangerous
3. the empire wouldn’t be as trusted as grievous was claimed to be dead
4. Grievous would easily kill Kal
5. Plus there’s nobody besides palpatine who could be able to kill grievous during these times
