I enjoyed this but I was puzzled at the same time. Why would it be a surprise that premodern people didn’t see death as the end? Catholics believe in heaven and hell today also.
Very interesting, thank you. I do remember, when we were first married, if you burnt a saucepan or somethjng , you’d put salt on it and set it out in the sun for a few hours. Worked a treat normally. I know people who went camping ⛺️ and used to use sand for dishes etc. I never did that. Bit close to nature for me. I like walls to keep out spiders and slitheries. Australia has lots of spiders and slitheries. Their domain, they’re quite welcome to it. I won’t intrude. 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
