I certainly wasn't expecting such a young voice, I clicked on the video and went back to the model I was working on, I was very surprised to her the narrator. However, I decided to listen to the video and was completely blown away with such knowledge and wisdom. If there is ever merch, I would be first in line for a T-shirt that states "If you suck now, you'll suck later .." I would like to extend my compliments to this young person's parents, they have raised a fine individual that probably has more wisdom and common sense than most adults. Lastly, thank you for an informative video. I have begun scribing and was engaging in most of your "don'ts", I think I'll listen to your advice. You may be young, but I know to listen to those who know more than I. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I appreciate it a lot! 💜 and I do in fact just opened my merch shop, if you want to check it out! spreadshop-admin.spreadshirt.com/nico-suratos/if+you+suck+now+youll+suck+later-A650c9d84d98b8e4d75877384?productType=347&sellable=yr7GjVzmBvuaxzaqZ9p1-347-8&appearance=2
Great content, just got into scribing myself and it was really difficult. I had no idea what went wrong but after watching your video I learned a lot 🥰 Keep up the good work, liked and subbed for ya
Lol it's true though, I mean they certainly help but you still have to practice your skill, skill and good tools work hand in hand. Thanks you for the kind words! I still need to work hard to get to the level I aspire to be. 😁
Man those exaggerated "don'ts" are very hard to look at. I have DSPIAE chisels too bought from sir Don and I take care of them properly. Seeing those fast and high pressured scribing is kinda hurting hahaha. The stencil as guide is really on point Thanks for the tips! I learned new things :)
Hey 👋 , I never felt the need to sharpen them, I’ve been using my chisels for over a year now and I think it still works fine. BUT if ever you want to sharpen your chisels (coz I know other chisel brands can get dull/blunt faster) you can use a Honing Guide and some fine grit sandpaper, I know other modellers have tried this before and it worked for them. Personally never tried tho. -Thanks for Watching! 🤍
Here’s a tip If you’re looking for a good place to practice scribing do it on the backs of your Gunpla shields and on the bottoms of their feet or on weapons that you usually don’t display them with
Hi Nico! Love your videos :) I'm very new to gunpla building, but I want to get into scribing. Mainly I'm interested in re-scribing the lines that are already on the kit, so my panel lining looks cleaner. If I had to choose only one or two sizes of scribers for my MG and HG kits, what would you recommend I pick up first? Thanks again for your content: your builds look amazing and are very inspiring!
Thank you for the support! So for High Grade Kits, usually the existing panel lines can be deepened with a 0.15mm chisel. For Master Grades, 0.15mm is also used, but some lines are 0.2mm So getting 0.15 and a 0.2 mm chisels are just what you need for what you what to do.
Would you say DSPIAE set is still recommendable at this time for beginners to intermediate builders or should they just save their money and invest on SAB chisel tools?
Honestly, that’s up to the individuals themselves. If you’re fine with waiting until you have enough funds for SAB chisels, then go for it! But if you really want to start learning how to scribe or you simply can’t wait, then getting the Dspiae or Madworks scribers is good enough! You can always upgrade your tools anytime afterall :)
try using a mechanical pencil for practice. push out the lead until it’s long and then try scribing, if it breaks, then that’s too much pressure. adjust accordingly. hope this helps!
I actually moved from Dspaie tape because it doesn't seem to have alot of adhesive power. Do you ever had adhesive issues with it? Mine was always shifting around. Switched to Madworks.
I love this kid :) thank you! I'm looking forward to see more tutorials from you :)
Thank you! More to come! 😄

The chisels are quite sturdy even after those exaggerated scribes 😂 I’m glad you learned something new! Thank you for watching 😊
good tips! yes i tried few times and feel not like trying again
Thanks! You could try pla plate detailing instead if you don’t want to try scribing anymore 😅
@@NicoSuratos i just need to be more patient. and not good ideas for panel designs..need help with that too
Hi Nico, how do you sharpen your chisel or how do you keep em sharp? thank you - great vid as always

Even your rushing looks better than some of my patient scribes 😂

Thank you! I think my problem is too much pressure, as I've broken the tip on a brand new .15 mm chisel replacement :/

Not really, been using it for years and it works just fine for me.

SAB Panel Liners are available at Hobby Hunters PH on shopee
Where did you get these scribers?
These are dspiae scribers, you can visit their official store at alie express or their resellers
does using hobby knife for scribing a good thing? Im new in gunpla building
I don't recommend it. Better to buy a cheapo scriber. It produces uneven and inconsistent lines when scribing.
Ive seen this tape around alot , but have not figured out what it is. so here goes what scribing tape are you using?
Dspiae Guide Tape is what you want to sesrch for
What is the brand of Guide Tape you are using? :D
