Mountain Goats on a Ledge

This mountain goat herd sleeps on a ledge with an overhang to stay dry all winter long. The problem is that the goats are just too close. Each goat needs 2 meters of physical distance from others, but the ledge is only 3 meters wide. The result is aggression and noise. Still much better than sleeping out in the cold snow.

The goats leave a thick layer of fecal pellets from years spent on the ledge.
