Today i'm making Fold out Journal Tags with hidden pockets.
These are not your ordinary tags as you can use them for journaling or turn them into greeting cards or mini journals very easily.
They are pretty quick and simple if you don't waffle while you make them 😘 and would be ideal for mass making.
today i used the rose Parfum paper collection by Stamperia, but you can use anything you like. My tags was based on one i received from my frind Zoe.
So grab your preferred paper and card and get cracking with some easy junk journal ephemera.

I love your button box….my great granny had a button jar. She saved all the buttons in an old mason jar she even cut the buttons of the clothes no one could use anymore they were farmers…anyway I have lovely memories of dumping that jar out in the evening, after all the work was done for the day, and sorting out the buttons, matching and marveling at some of the ‘fancy’ buttons! I have that jar still in my crafting space….so play away

Oh. My. Goodness. Your corner template from the 'Boots' card is just genius!!! And, would you believe it, I still have a 'Boots' club card - 12 years after we left the UK. Now I know what to do with it. 😊😂

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns 😂🤭 I still have my library card, a Tesco club card, and other assorted things in the wallet that I use every day!! Orginally, we were only meant to be NZ for a year - we had return tickets to the UK which we used - but then we came back again. I guess I orginally held on to the cards in case I needed them, and now they are just 'reminders' - familiar and somehow reassuring. ❤

I do the same thing with Stamperia papers. That's why I think I like digitals 🤔 I can print & use to my heart's content & mess up without a worry. 🥰 You wouldn't mess up or worry! 😘❤️😁

I like digitals but my Epson printer was useless for them after a firmware upgrade last year that they still have not sorted out😠
I got a cheap canon one in the sale and I need to get it up and running.

Love your take on this Julie, especially the addition of the pocket on the front. I was having a chuckle watching you make the bow, it was a faff for me too. Ended up needing a small childs hands to help 😄 I don't have a bow maker, but used her fingers in kinda the same way. The papers you used were perfect for this and very pretty. I agree with you on Stamperia papers! I was having an issue with figuring out which side to use until I saw someone buy two of each. What a concept.🤦🏼♀️ Now I can actually use them and not hoard them. 🤷🏼♀️ So I guess it's actually more frugal in a way to buy two. 😂😂

Thise have to projects are the worst. i just finished watching Margareth of sevenplaza say she doesn't take orders for journals as she doesn't enjoy making them when she has to.
The little ones are the best. i also helped out at a playgroup once a week before the pandemic. sadly i decided not to go back as the one thing i don't miss about them is the way they like to spread their germs😘😊🤗💜

It's not just craft supplies 😐 Kids had a day off school today so we went into town and had a right palava with keys phone bus passes and glasses😅 they all turned eventually in pockets and amongst the fluff in the bottom of my bag😘🤗💜

Julie, I believe if you used your card to cut the corners of your mat piece it would have been the right mat size since the paper was cut smaller. Not sure, but I think so.

I get you Susan and i think you could be right. sometimes i do thinks how i've always done then without thinking why😅😅Apparently the double bows Zoe made required the help of a small child, to wrap the ribbon around their fingers. i believe a bow maker would work too. But hey if the kids aren't up chimneys or down the mines anymore we have to make use of them somehow😘😊🤗💜

Wrap ribbon around two fingers about three to four times. Cut off about a six inch piece of ribbon to tie in middle. Bow!

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns so, I drug the ole Singer out of storage today. After a thorough cleaning, I read the User’s Manual. It’s simply amazing how much useful information is in there! I think all machines should come with one. Anyway, after a good long stare at it, I actually used my new knowledge to thread, load the bobbin, and turn it on. After another long staring competition, I actually used the bloody thing and made two perfectly good lines with it! We’re barely on speaking terms, but…baby steps.

I have afro hair and I use my Afro comb to tie bows. I tie the ribbon around the teeth to whatever size I need and then tie around the middle. A fork also works.
