I am planning to stay at this hotel the day before departing to Lisboa, after arriving from Tokyo next summer. Your video helped me make this decision, as it was very timely and informative. Thank you so much for the insightful review video!
Just watched your video. Does the hotel still have a pool? We first stayed here when it was called the Penta probably back in the early 90’s it’s changed a lot over the years. We actually watched concord taking off from here too. I’ll have to go back one day check it all out. Thanks for a few memories.
I used to work at the Penta in 89-92ish and sadly there was never a pool. I lived on the other side of the airport and my Dad worked for BA, so I went on many planes, including Concord. It was a beautiful plane and I never got tired of watching her land and take off. That lobby floor, the amount of women in heels that went a over t on that floor, it was deadly. I saw many a famous face working there though.
@@isthatreallytruetho Yes there was definitely a pool there, I checked with my other half and we used the pool whilst staying there. Probably September 1991 before we flew to Kenya. Perhaps you’re thinking of another hotel there’s loads down there. We also got 3 weeks free parking at the hotel which was a huge bonus at today’s standard.

Unfortunately there isn't a pool anymore, would have loved to see the concord! still such a great spot for plane spotting.

I would like to know if the hotel has a airport shuttle service
It does, if I remember correctly cost £6 per person
