Thank you so much I had an Allograft ACL reconstruction and meniscus removal 6 weeks ago, just got this yesterday, i have been messing with this thing for 2 hours this morning trying to fit it correctly. This video was of tremendous help to me thank you very much.
Mine is adjusted across the patella and feels great walking/running, but it makes a clicking sound. I think my knee slightly straightens between steps, is this ok?
The clicking sound may be due to the extension stopper. This is totally fine and nothing to worry about - but if it annoys the heck out of you it can be removed. In every DJO brace there is a 10 degree extension stop built in. Behind the pads you will find two screws that you can take off and remove the extension stop - as long as it isn't a force-point hinge. I plan to upload a few more videos in future so if you subscribe I will tag you in the video about this.
Hello Dan, I have the same brace. I have a PCL injury and Im trying to avoid surgery. My brace has three straps in the back and three up from. The only difference between mine and the one you are showing is I have a strap in front above my knee cap. It just doesn't feel like it provide as much support keeping my tibia forward when i bend my knee or squat down. Could this be the wrong brace for me? Any suggestions.

How long has the donjoy defiance custom knee brace with the adjustable action been in production? Why isn't everyone with medial meniscus knee compartment issues using it and expounding on it's success? I'm not questioning it's effectiveness, just asking the question.
Good question Greg. Braces can be a bit expensive. Although, I think education is the biggest thing, and understanding how effective these braces are in recovery :)
Hey Sagunthala, for custom knee braces (DonJoy Defiance) you can expect to pay anywhere from 1600-1800, depending on the attachments/under-sleeve etc. With that being said, usually these braces can be covered under a private healthcare plan.
