The most of this i dont know.Here in germany the TMNT was massive too,but we havent seen stuff like x-mas turtles or something like that from a few i knewed that is exist,but have never seen like the Anime turtles. Do you have a link for the short Films?

Super mutation and there always be surprising adaptations of established characters
When it comes to the summer shorts the mecha turtles was my favorite because it's such a unique and out-there concept, especially with Mikey being their master.
With how many variations of the turtles are out there, some having crossed over before, and the multiverse being a big trend right now, I hope we get a new TMNT crossover event at some point.
Same concept of Michelangelo sensei is just too cool to pass!
9:57 Animation and style of big muscular and more adult turtles from this summer short was simply one of the best I've ever seen it's such a shame they didn't pick up on it and produced more of it

Why are the turtles so prone to off-model out-of-left field content?
Cause they're giant humanoid ninja turtles so it was kinda inevitable

Turtles. None of these words belong together. It's very weird stuff, and corporations know kids will make their parents buy anything if it has their favorite characters on it.
I went to that concert in New Zealand, my friend Sam's parents bought me a ticket...to an 11 year old major turtle fan, it was an amazing experience...the turtles made references to things in my hometown and it blew my mind 😅
The Turtles are Ninjas, Ninja comes from Japan. The whole franchice since it's inception has been steeped in Japanese lore. The brand has always made constant references to Japanese culture. Over in Japan however...
They see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and go "Hey you know what would make this show good, Power Rangers and Mechs!''
The SNL skit, when the turtles were older and lifes been rough, was super funny. You should of included that one.
Oh god, I had the TMNT: Coming Out of their Shells stage show on VHS when I was a kid. I had forgotten all about that until you dredged it back up.
9:59-10:27 ...Wow. Looks pretty sick. I totally agree that a darker & more adult animated version of TMNT would be incredible; not necessarily as dark as the comic books, but maybe closer to the tone of Batman: The Animated Series for example...
Not to mention Donnie has the same voice actor as Robin from teen titans in the specific short your talking about

at least you had the chance. I lived in rural s.c. and my family rarely ecen took me to town. think little house on the prairie lol. I mean we lived in a brick house wkth heat and windo ac. but we were in the middle of nowhere and town was only maybe a 15min ride. comunbia the capital was maybe 30min and I barely saw thr town that was 15min away.
That pickle commercial I never saw had me rolling! lolol
I really wish they did more of those Summer Shorts. One of them was done by the creator of Invader Zim, after all. Surprised there's no mention of the next year's TMNT Team Up shorts, which were...well... they were cute enough, I guess. It was the same team behind Breadwinners, but they were fine in small doses. Nothing nearly as good as the Summer Shorts, which basically had me wishing each short became a limited series. I loved that Time Travel one, and that little jab at the Bay movies, only making the designs work. And you can tell it was the same team behind Rise, since they gave Raph that same jagged tooth poking out and the animation is similar enough.
Our Friend Power 5 is probably the craziest. It's a South Korean movie where Ninja Turtles from space battle a race of Splinters from space, and the costumes are all based on the Playmates toys. It's like an acid trip. But less fun.
Wow, I've been in the fandom for some 8-ish years and this is somehow my first time hearing about the Green-grey sponge suit sushi turtles!
I saw the Turtles at a Pizza Hut when I was a kid. I was a few feet away from them as they performed. It was insane and I was so excited. I listened to that album on cassette on repeat as well.
Holy shit... 25 years later and I finally find out what/where the Guardian Beast Turtle figures I had as a kid are from. Had no idea those two anime specials even existed, lol

I can't tell you how many times I watched the Coming Out of Our Shells Tour as a kid. I had the VHS and would watch it on repeat while I played with my collection of TMNT toys. I even distinctly remember playing with the metal armored turtles while watching it lol
I recently rewatched it again and honestly? The music isn't half bad even today. Just sounds like decent 80's style rock.

I still got the vhs of the coming out of our shells special. I loved it as a kid.
I remember watching the TMNT summer shorts coming out, I honestly really liked them!
Another great really odd and gritty version is the 4 parts comic Bodycount, by Kevin Eastman and Simon Bisley, full of violence and gore, and one (not for children) that I really love.
Some of them not all of them are the most bizarre and stupid things I've ever seen out of the TMNT franchise and I don't know why they even exist at all
A friend and I are trying to make our own TMNT story to eventually turn into a show. That short of them going through time and that ending scene with the badass art style would be SICK for it, though the designs of the turtles themselves would differ.

I’m also working on my own story just for the hell of it, and although the style looks like a cross between mine and ROTTMNT’s art styles, I can’t help but get mesmerised by that scene’s art style. I even turn mine human and send them to April’s high school like in the other short, but I could never stomach through it because of their designs.
Those Nickelodeon shorts were awesome. My favorite is the one where they turn into humans and go to school with April.

You could only get the Coming out of their Shells soundtrack for a limited time at Pizza Hut and it was only on cassette. Loved a lot of the songs on there as a kid!
I remember lots of food and toy commercials in the early 1990's with the cartoon that looks alittle different in cereal and the real live with toys. I also remember Robot Chicken having looks of them and tbe series MAD had different looks too. The Fairly OddParents episode Channel Chasers had them look like cows call Adolescent Genetically Altered Karate Cows.
Holy crap, I remember that Blue Line movie. I grew up in LA in the 80's and 90's, I had that VHS and remember watching it. Damn, that was a completely forgotten memory lol.
Great video! It's funny; in the "Operation Blue Line" video, Donatello and Michelangelo are wearing each others' torso sections - it's not as noticeable on Mikey, but that brighter green on the neck/etc of Donnie is just nuts! lol
I never watched the Tmnt Anime but I owned the toys. I thought they were so cool but didn’t understand how they changed though. Also the metal line. I had those toys as well [+]
i love jhonen vasquez's versions of the turtles!! i always love his work, and combining that with my favorite thing (tmnt) is just so cool
The anime turtles are pretty funny, reminded me of Ronin Warriors. The turtles singing around the Christmas tree, had me almost spitting a large sip of water out. Leo sounds weird as f lols.
The armor from the second anime episode were ripped off from Saint Seiya, which Ronin warriors also ripped off.
I knew the Christmas special was on this list before even starting this video. I remember watching it when I was a kid. Even as a kid I couldn't stop laughing at it.

The character Gridlock sounds more like a Captain Planet villain. Than a tmnt villain. I also remember those tmnt shorts. They were awesome. I remember seeing one short where Bebop and Rocksteady were spoofing Bevis And Butthead
I remember pestering my parents to go to pizza hut so I could get that cassette tape of their tour. They finally did, and I listened to it endlessly for a long time.

This is so weird. I have a vivid memory of going to the coming out of their shells concert, but it never came to my country. I thought it was the most boring thing ever though. I must have gotten to see a recorded version or something.
I remember the Christmas special I even got the power ranger special but anyway I like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Christmas special even have it on VHS in the still walks got to love Jamieway back in the day I even rock and roll Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but that's all the ones that I remembered I think it's pretty cool to go back of all the ones that I missed I didn't know about

For the sake of family-friendly decency, I will not mention by name the Ninja Turtle film reviewed by the Cinema Snob a few years back. It's version of the TMNT is certainly, uh, unique.
So, according to that Mystery of the Cliffs thing, Splinter (Who was possibly a Japanese Man. Don't know if they followed cartoon or movie canon.) had a ancestor who lived in the Arizona desert in the 1500's? Before the United States was founded, when the region was under control by the Spanish???

I remember the coming out of our shells thing. Yep, got the cassette from pizza hut back then, later the video. To this day, I still find it funny that pizza hut was a big sponsor during that time but in the actual movie of 1990, they used domino's.

To be honest I feel the same I would have loved to see the last Tmnt short turn into animated series matter of fact it should have been the rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I have the first one and the toys from the super mutants one, but mine didn't transform, they were just the post transformed versions. Never knew where the toys were from.

TV back in the days super hero ninja turtel cartoon and the old films I loved it in my childhood
We used to drive to Paterson NJ on the weekends to visit my mom's friend Armando, his kids had the turtles on tour concert VHS, and we used to watch the shit out of it, years later before the days of TH-cam I thought of it as some sort of fever dream, lol!
