@@SailingSweetRuca Working on it. After 15 years away from sailing (and two days before I found your channel) I put an offer on a J/40. I get to take her home this week. Not ready to sail across the Pacific just yet, but I am getting closer. Keep sharing the joy and inspiring us all.
Heavens to Betsy! Glad to see all helping hands working together to rescue the drifting boat. Good job, y’all. Teamwork makes the dream work. Thanks for sharing this inspiring story. Nice episode.
You all are so professional...What a Team...(Imagine what the entire Pacific was during WWII)..And..think what an experience it would have been in the 1950's.. Post WWII... Wow.. I need a time machine.
If we could turn back time and go sailing “back then” we surely would! It would have been epic! Tremendously challenging! We have great respect and admiration for those early adventurers!
80' deep to anchor, wow! really enjoy your channel. so far my favorite topics were approaching Cape Horn, rounding, and the cruise north to your jump off point for the Pacific crossing. that super yacht sure showed up for the work party, good on them and you!
What a great effort by all the unwritten rule always help. Thanks to every boat or super yachts that helped. Remember keep the stick up and the loved ones in the boat.
OMG 😱, Curtis and Kate to the rescue. 🎉🙌🏻🙌🏻 Niiiiiice work guys. Every scenario needs a leader team to discover resources and set the ball in motion. B. R. A. V. O. ….S/v Sweet Ruca crew. See you next time. ✨🌊💨💨⛵️🏝️👙🌞✨
A community of people who help is a valuable thing. Too many people are isolated from that type of experience. Sometimes though, you need to know your limits and keep your distance, Roxy coudn't possibly comment, after all it's down to those in the thick of it.
Awesome Save !!! Hope the Owners showed some appreciation and reimbursed for the time and fuel required. Obviously the crew was on shore, but were located hopefully and relatively soon... Any details??? Be safe and Fair Winds...😊
Awesome! I'd hate to see that boat stranded on that beach leaking fluids. Hopefully it's all set now and no worse off for that unplanned trip down the bay.
Can someone explain why a derelict motor yacht can be moored in such a sensitive place? Seems like a recipe for disaster. Surely the local authorities should be stepping in to prevent this?
Love to see people come together to solve a problem. Sailors always seem to come to the aid of others.
This was our favorite part also! The superyacht (megayacht?) sending its crew and equipment to help the local community was a joy to see!
On sea there is one rule . You help a boat in stres .
If you dont , you cane get the law on your ass .
You put a smile on my face, doing the right things the right way. If only that smile's not visible tomorrow any longer.
😀😀😀😀😀 Smiles all around!
Cook’s Bay was the inspiration for Jimmy Buffett’s “One Particular Harbor”. What a spectacular slice of heaven
Cool tid bit! Thanks!
That is a really beautiful place. Glad you were able to help out and protect it. Someday I hope to be able to sail there myself.
I hope so too!

I missed them too but it's always a good time to rewatch older ones.

Coffee with Sweet Ruca is good. Scenery is Beautiful. Great job by everyone involved to secure the runaway boat. Keep having fun and stay safe.

Great video! We are in Curacao, waiting our hurricane season. Jeannette and I will never forget Moorea, but a lot has changed since the 1980s.
The 80’s there had to have been amazing! You are coving some ground, enjoy Curacao! Will you be in the Caribbean for a while? Where is next?
Thank you.
👍👍
Congrats!!!! You are the guys!!!!!!
You are so professional sailors! Greetings from Sweden!
You are too kind! Skål 😀
Thumbs Up 🎉

We think it was a derelict yacht of sorts. It was unmanned and in need of a lot of maintenance.

The lady here have a Norwegian accent? Anyway you are doing good presentations
I Know this wasnt in the US, But atleast over here law says if a sailor is in distress and you can assist, you must assist.
That's the international sailing law

wonder where the idiots were who went off and left their boat with inadequate anchorage?
The boat wasn't occupied. Did you see the pile of junk on it? It looked like it was gutted.
where billonire yacht?
Wait you can just abandon a boat in a bay like this??? That boat probably doesn’t have fuel or anything left…
It looked like it didn't have an interior. It may not have even had working engines.
this voice talking is just hurting my ears
