Having a rough week (month? year??) and put this off til i felt i needed the pick me up and it was such a fun time! I love Karima videos and these "look at stuff i've really loved!" videos are my absolute favorites. Looking forward to the "best of 2020" video if you still do one! I spent a lot of this year trying new new skincare and using it up but not having liked it and not having any clue what to buy next to see if that worked any better, so if i tried to go through my empties it would just be things that didn't work for me.

I have sensitive skin and I have finally caved and gone back to the arms of k-beauty kill-them-with-kindness products and that CosRx toner is one of my favourites, they actually have a 300ml bottle on their website I’m probably going to get some day. I actually used the FAB cream on my face all last winter and spring and it was great, my only problem is that the big size comes in a jar and I don’t really like sticking my fingers in my moisturiser so I’ve switched to the Pyunkang Yul ato blue label, she’s thick and I love it. Have you nailed a moisturiser you like with your new skin? I love a long fluffy lash so I’m very happy to know you like the fenty mascara because I actually bought it, haven’t tried yet though. Ok, dumb question, with the huda mascara, because you only like one brush: if you leave the side you don’t like completely untouched, don’t open it, don’t try it, fully sealed, and then once you’re supposed to throw out the side you’ve been using, can you switch the product containers around? Because that’s six months of mascara right there. I thought you were going to start singing let it go when you started talking about the expired lip product.

Karima.. If you haven't already, try using Azelaic Acid for your acne, it is more gentle than Tretinoin. I am using the Garden of Wisdom one and I like it 😉
I’m so glad you said that about the Dr Sam sunscreen! No matter what I do, I cannot get this one to work for me. Even just 1 pump doesn’t sink in to my skin, it sits there for hours and is still greasy and melting off. And I find it an awful base for makeup because a) nothing will stick to it and b) it pills when you try to blend. I tried the 3 pumps once just to see what actually using as directed would be like. Absolutely disaster! I will say though, I love all her other products. I use the whole line apart from the sunscreen, and at 31 years old, my skin has never looked more beautiful. First time in my life that my skin texture is smooth and I don’t get pimples 👍
I love the Playa line! That conditioner does contain a lighter silicone and relies more on copolymers than the typical dimethicone, so it does feel nice and light in the hair 😁
Hey Karima! Not sure if you’ve watched The Anna Edit recently but she’s spoken a lot about coming off the pill and having a major skin freak out until moving to just a Kiehl’s cleanser and Allies of Skin product - might be worth checking out! 😊
Nothing in the world is more hilaious than British and Australian people doing an American accent. My Latin instructor was British (soooo snarky British) and our favorite treat was when he would do an American accent. Like cake or accent or movie, we would choose accent. I feel like Selfies has the Armani cushion on sale and even at full go it's still half of what my beloved, expensive, deplorable shade range Sisley cushion costs. I "need" a new bottle of luminous silk (my zoom meeting foundation) but I might give it a pause and try the cushion. Every time you talk about it, I remind myself of how well Armani matches my slight peach undertone when in most other brands I go neutral.
I feel like you and I have always had the same skin and all the products you’ve recommended have always worked for me and then in February I went off birth control and a lot of them were no longer working but now you did the same and you’re experiencing the same issues as me which is helping me out majorly. 😂 so thank you for being my skincare soulmate. ❤️
fragrance in skincare like cleansers isn't actually bad (unless it irritates your skin) because it's on the skin for such a short time. You're just washing it off after a minute or two.
Before the Hourglass brow brush, was the *original*: the Chantecaille brow gel brush. Beautiful, soft-hold brow gel, where *again*, juuuuuust the right amount of product is distributed! I remember seeing the Hourglass and gasping at the veryyyyyyyy similar brush! :O (But HA, probably more affordable than Chantecaille, so I shouldn't make a fuss :P )
Have you tried Mac in extreme dimension mascara? I, also, don’t like overloaded lashes. It doesn’t just hold a curl it makes one, it can cope with a front and back of lash application and isn’t crispy I buy it at Christmas and throw it out next Christmas to be safe, it never runs out or goes weird or ever smudged on me. It’s a straight brush but has a chamber system to get that “right amount”, I think it’s too much when you first open it. The amount on the brush is perfect for blinking onto the brush for a very strong tight line application. Worth getting in the Christmas sales to try.
If you're looking for a good gel cleanser, I recommend the Avene blue one! Gentle, smol lather and smells like clean comfort! Also like the Avene Xeracalm cleansing oil. My light makeup, first step cleanse of choice. Its not really your typical oil cleanse and cant take that much make up but its just a good ol gentle cleanser and comforts the skin - no tightness here!
I have combo skin and mild rosacea. Paula’s Choice skincare line has been so great for me. The 2% BHA liquid is far more effective for me than stridex or corsrx. I use the calm line serum and use the BHA body lotion in summer. Eucerin’s redness relief night cream is the best moisturizer I’ve found for my red combo skin that’s moisturizing but doesn’t break me out. I use azelaic acid instead of tretinoin because my skin is so sensitive but it is very effective for me. I’m also mildly obsessed with Khiel’s creme de corps lotion and bought a massive bottle during Nordstrom’s fall sale for fall/winter legs.
I was wondering when you’d jump on to the retinol bandwagon, and yep...you’re finally here lol. The tret will fix all your acne, fine lines and pigmentation issues. You will love it!
I made the same mistake with the FAB chemical peel mask. It says to leave on even as little as 45 seconds first use, so ofc I left it on for 5 minutes. Spent the rest of the day with a milk soaked washcloth on my face. Wasn't even a very good peel, so I went through all of that for nothing! I much preferred the Alba peel, but they discontinued it :( Now I'm trying the Derma E vitamin c peel and so far I'm loving it!
I enjoy Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede because I can smell it yet others usually don't. I don't like when other people notice I'm wearing fragrance because I am always afraid that I have overdone it and am suffocating the room.
Love Dr Sam's moisturiser as my HG winter > night-time > pre tretinoin cocoon. Fully agree about her SPF - I could get away with 2 pumps max, and even then it left a white cast and I could feel it sitting on my skin. Forget about putting makeup on top of it, yikes. I'll stick to my Hada Labo Perfect UV Gel pleaseandthankyou.
Shampoo recommendation: bioderma node shampoo (the one in the transparent dark green bottle, not the opaque mint green one) Cleanses but does not strip! Great for sensitive scalps.
K-beauty brand "Pony Effect" has a cheaper (≈$18 AUD) eyebrow gel with a similar brush head, you can find on YesStyle. I really love mine - has great hold, does not smudge easily, but is effortless to remove at the end of the day 😊

I love Wood Sage & Sea Salt, but because of its subtlety it wears off in like 30 minutes I feel, so sad!
