I’m restoring a 79 bronco ranger xlt with a granny 4 speed. It was in wonderful shape and warranted the full restoration. Chassis, axles and all chassis brackets were powder coated with chassis black and it looks amazing. Can’t wait to drive this one....it’s gonna be nice!
Love the old steel. I have a 96 model. That is sitting on 37 x 12.50. x 17's. Only thing I would recommend. Is if you plan any kinda hard core off roading I would get the Extended radius arms. and a new set of rear springs minus the blocks The blocks and those stamped drop brackets. Are going too be your weak points. I have seen the blocks snap and come out. As well as seen a number of rollovers because the bracket's Folded over like cardboard from stress & the weight of of the bronco's . I am going too guess yours probably weights in at around 6,300 pounds with a full tank of gas or maybe a lil more. Mine weights about 6,800 with me and the two girls with a full tank of gas / camping gear.
put a three inch body lift first and youll need shorty headers. i have sanderson headers on mine with a 3 in body lift, i dont think itll fit in the firewall that well without a lift of sorts, idk exactly a bigger radiator and thats about it
@@congoninja yeah i really think itd be nearly impossible to put the headers on without a body lift on the truck mine are a tight fit. glad i have a 3in body lift tbh. i blew out an oil pressure sending unit that was behind the block and there was no fucking way id be able to swap it out without the body lift.

In many states it's illegal to run bigger tires without flaps and will get you pulled over, not to mention their obvious purpose.

Yes definitely not a fan of the blocks. I'll have to check that stuff out though for sure

@@johndowe7003 Yup I had to change mine last year, was leaking oil from that pretty bad. would have been a pain with no body lift.
