Haze and smoke

Today we flew to Pontiac, Michigan. The air quality was bad mainly due to the Canadian Forest fire smoke pouring into the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic States. Here are about five minutes in the King Air taken with a GoPro. Take a look.

Cool video, yea it has been bad up in the Chicago area too.. down to 1/4 mile vis at some points. Orange skies too!

That’s pretty bad smoke. Can you smell it in the cockpit? We flew down to Ann Arbor and you could pretty much taste it. We’ve got to get these fires under control.
