New to your Channel. Yesterday I watched vid on Crecent Wrenches and really impressed. Supprised you did both and will sub now. Nice old gen that you should rebuild for the heck of it. I have several old style gens but never use them now. Bought a Harbor Freight 3500 Predator Inverter and just love it. Very quiet and uses about half the fuel or less. Runs the furnace or window unit, fridge, freezer, lights, T.V's all at the same time with power to spare. Meter tells you amps, watts, total time on unit and time since started. Loved it so much on the farm I bought a second one but those are 2020 models without stupid c/o sensor that can be bypassed. . Great units that many truckers have logged 7,000 + hrs on. I run noisy gas hog gens for 220 when needed.
Thanks! I was able to pick up a more modern unit on the 3rd day of the outage. I'll def fix up the old one at some point. You'll find a wide variety of tool/workshop related content on this channel.
October 4th, 1987 we had a freak nor'easter snowstorm dumping 18' of that white poop bringing down trees and power lines like you wouldn't believe. We had a crappy old Milwaukee generator similar to yours. There was something wrong with it and only put out 120 volts not 220. We limped along for 5 days with that. Worst things were it did go through a lot of oil and the gas tank was so small it only ran for 6-8 hours. Pick up a newer generator. They are plentiful and cheap enough no. George
Good job love you From Dino Mares Fontana CA

Yeah, had the same issue with the gas tank on mine. I was able to get a newer replacement generator on the last day of the power outage.
Converted a bunch of those to run on natural gas back in the 80's . Had to put top end oilers on them.
Very cool. Tempted to try getting this one to run on Propane if/when I rebuild the engine.
Busket? Isn't that an arranged bunch of flowers?
@ItsJustaJetta - "You got a Benz, I got a Busket" a classic line from the movie "Suicide Kings"
@ballinator Hahah I was a kid when I watched that. You definitely altered the course of my life because I'm gonna say busket from now on
What are you going to replace it with?
Got a Powermate 5,000 watt unit.
