    Is the voice audio panned all the way to the left for anyone else?

    • @NLWaters01
      @NLWaters01 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup. I was just about to comment about this. I don't think its "panned" necessarily; but it is channeled left which in many instances has to be fixed in post.

    6 years later and the most helpful video I’ve seen in two days of looking for sparkler exit help. Thank you 🙏

    Wow! Amazing video! I’ve been asked to do a sparkler exit for the first time at a wedding next year and I’ve been getting so stressed over how to approach it. But this has shown me that natural light is the way forward! Thank you! I feel so much better about it now

    Wow here in Texas the sparkler exit has been a thing long before 2015. Good tips. We also focus on natural light for the sparkler exits and have a second photographer with flash. We find exactly like you, the client 99.9% of the time will like the natural like sparkler shots over the flash ones. For me the most difficult part of the sparkler exit is drunk guests. We have had drunk guests try to tap us on the heads with the sparkler like wands and light out hair on fire.

      Expose The Heart I’m sure I have my dates way off, lol! You are so right about drunk guests at the end of the night! That is one of the difficulties few people talk about having to overcome! Thanks for commenting!

    So what would you suggest for a Nikon d7500 for settings. AF-S 50mm 1.8G and then I have a AF-P Nikkor 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 G. I am going to be taking pictures at a wedding. They will be using #20 gold wire sparklers. They last for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Their will be 32 people holding sparklers around the bride and groom while they dance. These sparklers are very bright. What would you suggest for me to do? Would it be a good idea to put the ISO on auto?

    The one question I’ve always had is do you shoot in Manuel focus or auto focus? What do you prefer?

    • @BenHartley
      @BenHartley  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both! Our main lens is a manual focus 35mm f0.95 - but other than that we embrace the autofocus!

    and all i've been doing is using OCF for my exits. I think i'll have to switch things up come my next wedding and go natural.

    Man, 1/125? Idk if I just have hella spindly wrists but I swear by pictures are always blurry under 1/320 😭

    • @thetruth6444
      @thetruth6444 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah same, 1/125 when the couple is moving and you are moving is setting yourself up for disaster and relying completely on luck.

    1/125 second? what? You're moving and the couple is moving, that's setting yourself up for disaster and relying on luck

    • @card-joker5301
      @card-joker5301 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      wich Speed You would use? 1/125 Sounds right for the ambiant Lights to me

    • @thetruth6444
      @thetruth6444 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@card-joker5301 1/320 minimum, but most of the time 1/400 or 1/500 to be safe, at either f1.2 or f1.4 and then just boost ISO. If the couple is moving forward and you are moving backwards 1/125 is no where near fast enough, the photos will be blurry.
